I visited ChengDu with a friend and chose to stay in this hostel and it was brilliant. The staff all spoke english and were very helpful whenever we asked questions about amenities, travel routes or recommendations near by. They even invited us to play mahjong with them and taught us the rules. There a several tours and events that the hostel organised and are very easy to join to see the main tourist attractions. The building is well decorated and has a nice chill vibe that makes it very easy to meet and talk to other travellers and everyone we met was incredibly friendly. They have a rooftop bar that sells coffee during the day and cocktails at night, they were a little expensive for us travelling on more of a budget but there are lots of clubs and bars in the local area. There are also lots of restaurants near by the hostel as well as a food market right outside the door where we were able to buy fresh fruit, the metro station is also only a 10 minute walk away. We stayed in an four person all female room which was very clean and had individual cubbies inside the bunk bed to keep our valuables safe although you should bring your own padlock for the lockers. The clothes washing facilities are easy to use and very cheap and you can buy laundry detergent from reception. Free shampoo, conditioner, body wash and dental kits are available at reception as well. I will definitely be returning to this hostel if i visit ChengDu again!

Location is great - right in the centre of Chunxi Road/Taikoo Li area, short walk from the metro station. Room itself was quite nice. Beds were on the hard side, but standard for China. Windows were sound-proofed well, but unfortunately the doors were not - can hear everything from the corridor quite clearly. Luckily didn’t this disturb our sleep too much, but really depends on the other guests.Bathroom was clean but feels quite grimy due to the dirty grouting and old tiles.Vibe of the place is ok, aimed at the backpacker crowd, and staff speak good English. One thing to avoid at all costs is the laundry room. Not only is it not free, it’s also very unhygienic. Washed clothes in machine 1 and found a live maggot on a sock afterwards. Really disgusting. The staff did not seem particularly concerned when I told them, they just paid (remotely, didn’t even come to inspect the machine) for a second wash in the other machine. They didn’t offer any other help or suggestions, as the washing machine setup is outsourced to a separate company. Thank god the dryer had a sterilisation option (which I paid extra for myself) or I think I would have thrown away all my clothes at that point.I have washed my clothes in hostel/hotel laundry rooms across China and never encountered something like this 🤢.Overall would not recommend staying here.

Had a fantastic time at this hostel. We stayed in the two single bed room with bath and it was very comfortable and clean. The main lounge had a pool table and is a nice environment to chill. Chunxi road is only a 10 min walk and most attractions are about 15 mins away by car so the area is still pretty central. Only minor issue was that the ventilation in the bathroom could have been better

Great Location and Service, Slightly Small RoomI recently stayed at this hotel in the heart of Chengdu and was quite pleased with its location and service. Situated conveniently close to the IFS building (about 650 meters) and just a short 400-meter walk from the Chunxi Road metro station (Exit E1), it offered easy access to many of the city's attractions, shopping, and dining options. The proximity to various food stalls and shopping malls was a definite plus. The hotel staff were excellent – very friendly and helpful. The 24-hour reception was also a great convenience. My room was clean and well-equipped with all the necessary amenities. However, the only minor drawback was the size of the room, which was a little on the smaller side.Overall, despite the slightly compact room, I would recommend this hotel for its fantastic central location and excellent service. It's a great base for exploring Chengdu.

Do NOT wash your clothes here as the washing machines are filthy. When we used washing machine 1 our clothes came out with brown, squishy bits on them and a LIVE maggot. When we asked the staff for help and an explanation, they did not seem concerned at the lack of cleanliness and just offered another free wash in the other machine, which had a dirty filter. Most places in China offer free washing but it was ¥6 per wash, ¥1 for a small packet of detergent, and ¥13 for the dryer. The room was fine, beds on the hard side but okay and the windows had great sound proofing but the door seemed to have none. I could clearly hear people from the lounge talking in the room. The bathroom was okay as well although it seemed a bit primitive and I couldn’t tell if the grout was black, dirty, mouldy, or a combination of all 3. Aside from all that the location is great and very close to the metro.

Great location at Chunxi Road metro (line 2 and 3 - exit at E1 and walk straight ahead for a block, then turn left and just aft the little circular park with table tennis tables is the hostel). We had a private room and it was quiet with good air on. Comfortable bed and pillows. Good shower. Helpful staff who spoke English. On line 3 for the Pandas and line 2 to get out towards Lushan. Recommended.

We absolutely love the location as the hotel is a stone's throw to good street food nearby and also a nice fruit stall just downstairs. We also love looking at the locals doing their daily exercise in the park just beside the building :)Do check out the roof top cafe if you are planning to stay here as it offers a really nice view n quiet escape if u need a breather from running around. They serve artisanal coffee and rich creamy cake if you need something sweet (but not that sweet).Altho we did not check out the activities n tours that the staff can help to coordinate, they were really helpful and explain everything very well. I choose the hotel for its nice rooms, and we really enjoy our rest on the clean n firm but comfy beds :)Sharing a shot of Chunxi Road which is like 5-10mins walk away :)

**5-Star Review for a Poshpacker Hotel in Chengdu** My stay at this chic poshpacker hotel in Chengdu was an absolute delight! From the moment I arrived, the staff went above and beyond to ensure a seamless and welcoming experience. Their kindness and professionalism truly stood out—special shoutout to **Ella**, who consistently went the extra mile to assist us with everything from local recommendations to arranging transport. his warmth and attentiveness made our trip unforgettable! What impressed me most was how fluently *all staff* on the team spoke English, eliminating any language barriers and making communication effortless. Whether asking for tips on Chengdu’s hidden gems or sorting out logistics, the staff’s language skills and eagerness to help were top-notch. The hotel itself strikes the perfect balance between boutique luxury and a backpacker’s social vibe—think stylish, modern decor, cozy communal spaces, and a location that’s ideal for exploring the city. If you’re looking for a place that blends comfort, affordability, and exceptional service, this spot is a gem. Highly recommended for travelers who want a touch of class without sacrificing that friendly, global community feel. **Thank you, Ella and team**, for making our Chengdu adventure so memorable! Will definitely return on my next trip! 🌟
