The front desk staff are warm, welcoming, and speak excellent English, which immediately makes you feel at ease. They’re always ready to help with any questions and organize daily activities — I even joined their free dumpling‑making workshop, which was a great experience. The hostel itself is quite old, and it shows in the facilities. Each room has only one shower for around ten people, which can be inconvenient. The beds are very firm, with thin mattresses, so comfort is limited. The crowd is mostly Western tourists, which is unusual to see in China. On the positive side, the location is excellent — most major sights and city highlights are within walking distance.
