I’m not an expert in Thai cuisine, but most of my best friends are very fond of it, therefore I have been in a lot of Thai places in London and in Uk. I saw this passing by a part of Clapham where I do not normally go often, but never tried it until yesterday, when a friend of mine mentioned that it was excellent. As we were all in the mind for a Thai dinner, we went. The place only takes reservations on the phone, so I recommend booking as it is busy . They told us that we could dine at 20.30 so I put my name down and went to the pub across the street for a few drinks. At 20.12 they kindly called us, and we were seated immediately. Considering how busy they were, this was a very nice gesture, as in many busy places they say they will call you, but never do. I ordered the papaya salad and the river prawn glass noodles, both excellent. My friends ordered some prawn crackers, fragrant, crunchy, fishy, amazingly addictive, and a chicken green curry plus another papaya salad and a Pad Thai. The papaya salad was fresh, spicy but subtle, very flavourful and it had so much depth and complexity, I was mesmerised by it. Possibly the best papaya salad I have ever tasted . The river prawn glass noodles were incredible too, and, according to my friends, their pad Thai and the green curry with chicken were fantastic too. We had some Singha beer pints to accompany the food, the perfect match for what we ordered. I’m glad we discovered this gem of a place ! The prices are honest, and for the high quality of what we had, £38 per person is very cheap if you consider the extremely high quality of what we had . I highly recommend it, and can’t wait to go back.
