Cherai Beach Resorts

Cherai beach resort was an amazing experience. We book for one day. We have booked like Doctors Villa premium. The room was quite spacious and everything was working. Toilets are really nice. All the amenities were quite good. The pool were clean. We ordered the food from restaurant. We try some good sea food. And this resort have a wide space to go around. Peaceful area for everyone. The beach was just infront of this resort.

I stayed at Cherai Beach Resort with two friends. The staffs were friendly and the ambiance was nice. It’s a villa-type property and the rooms were quite spacious, but the overall maintenance was very poor. Though we were upgraded to a premium villa at check-in, the mattress and quilt were horrible, causing itching throughout the night. The bed was uncomfortable, the sofa seat wasn’t fitted properly, and the shower didn’t work well. We didn’t even feel like using the swimming pool. The breakfast menu was also very limited. The location and spacious villas have good potential, but without proper upkeep, the stay doesn’t feel worth it.

Aging resort. Hold stories of its past. Worth the getaway for a quiet break at Cherai away from the busy life. Food is ok, nothing to get excited about. Menu is limited. Food takes 20-25 min post order to be served. Hospitality impeccable. Each and every staff does their utmost to make our stay memorable. Aging swimming pool. We did not engage. Direct access point to see the wild waves of the beach right in front of the Resort. Good point for photography and idling.

The location is absolutely fabulous, offering a peaceful and scenic environment. We stayed in a spacious duplex villa, which was comfortable and had great potential. However, the property does require better maintenance. With proper upkeep, this place could truly be a gem. Despite that, we enjoyed our stay and hope to see improvements on our next visit.

A large group of 4 generations of us met here for a family gathering. The hotel although spacious looks jaded and tired, in need of sprucing up That said the rooms were spacious and comfortable. The bathroom water heating could do with updating as it’s inefficient. The towels which sre discoloured and old need refreshing. |The swimming pool was well used by the children and younger adults who also made forays to the nearby beach. The dining room offered buffet breakfast and other meals. The food choice was adequate although being in Kerala and next to the Backwaters, local cuisine and variety of seafood was not on the menu whilst we were there. |Being in the middle of an active monsoon it was difficult to get around especially for the older folks with mobility issues. The presence of an electric buggy would have been very helpful,

I recently stayed at the resort and have mixed feelings about the experience. The property itself is quite old and could definitely benefit from better maintenance and some renovations. Certain areas show signs of wear and tear, and the facilities are not as modern or well-kept as one might expect. However, what truly stands out is the resort's location — it's absolutely beautiful and offers a peaceful, scenic environment that's perfect for relaxation. Additionally, the staff were extremely courteous, friendly, and always ready to assist, which made the stay much more pleasant. Overall, while the resort could use some upgrades in terms of upkeep, the excellent service and lovely location do help balance the experience.

Many of the washrooms feature semi-open roofs and blurred doors, which despite aiming to enhance aesthetic appeal, result in a level of visibility that can make users feel uncomfortable. While the intention may have been to incorporate modern design elements, the layout and transparency compromise privacy, leading to an awkward experience. Additionally, upon our arrival, it was raining, and the overall cleanliness of the area was compromised. To improve the visitor experience, it would be beneficial to implement measures that ensure the space remains tidy and well-maintained, even during the rainy season.

Please avoid this resort. Extremely rude and unprofessional staff with poor customer service. The room facilities are not working properly, and the pathway is dangerously slippery. There is no health and safety. When we raised concerns, they simply told us to take a refund and leave if we weren’t happy. I called the reception to report that the fan wasn’t working, no one showed up. One of our friends got wet and needed to change clothes, but they made a big issue out of it. Such inhumane and insensitive behaviour. This place is nothing like the pictures, badly maintained, poor facilities, and a complete disappointment. Not recommended at all.
