I wanted to try some desserts and they turned out amazing! The desserts are super cute, and I even bought some takeaway for my friend to try. Everything was delicious and beautifully decorated. The space is big, perfect for meeting up with friends. Definitely a must-try!!

I tried the mandarin and jasmine small cake, along with the Eye Candy cake — both were a true delight. The mandarin and jasmine offered a delicate, fragrant sweetness that lingered beautifully, while the Eye Candy was a vibrant burst of flavor and texture. Each bite felt thoughtfully crafted, almost like dessert poetry. A must-try for anyone who appreciates unique and artful sweets. The pandan coconut croissant, while pleasant, lacked the same magic. Its flavors were gentle, perhaps too restrained — not disappointing, but not quite reaching the heights of the other offerings. A beautiful spot for adventurous desserts, with moments of brilliance and charm.

After trying their version of lemon meringue, pandan croissant and almond croissant a couple months back via a special promotion, I decided to come back to try out their cakes for Father's Day and got their father's day gateau and lemon tart. Absolutely top notch in flavors and presentation. So glad I found another quality and reliable boutique bakery on this side of town, highly recommended! The place is actually quite big, and they have a large seating area in the back too. Price guide (as of Sep 2025): Medium sized Father's Day Gateau $65 Medium sized lemon tart $35 Single serve cakes mostly <$20 Mocha $6.50

We booked Cheri for a team lunch and we were blown away by both the incredible staff and the delicious food. I cannot recommend this venue enough. I will definitely be coming back.

Came down here on a sunny winters Saturday afternoon, the place was packed and rocking. We came down only for desserts, ordered the flan parison, chocolate tart and the orange cake, also hot chocolate. The decor and ambience was vibrant and has a retro vibe to it, the desserts are definitely a winner, we polished off all of them. There’s also a savoury menu and a bakery menu with a chocolate fountain, a real one stop shop for all things French. Their cakes are also amazing to look at with vibrant colours, sure to wow and appetite.

The Margherita pizza is extremely delicious, and the breakfast plate is both tasty and healthy. The desserts and bread are highly recommended. The chocolate flavor is very rich, making you feel satisfied with just one bite.

Sensational! I loved my experience here, I felt it was the perfect Easter treat. The breakfast plate was absolutely delicious, the different elements in the dish completed each other beautifully, and made the experience a fun one to mix and match the flavours. I couldn’t believe the quality of the bread - gluten free and delicious! Coeliac safe too! And it wasn’t even swapped out for normal bread, so there were no hidden gluten free fees. The coffee was fantastic, strong and flavoursome - one of the best I’ve tried in Melbourne. The staff were also very good, the waitress who served me was fantastic - she was very personable and smiling to all customers, and very accommodating to my allergens. I felt very safe and at ease - the atmosphere was spot on, and felt like a special experience.

Cheri on a weekend is absolute chaos — think coffee orders flying, customers looking a bit confused and frazzled — but somehow I lucked out. The service I got was great, the coffee was excellent, and the food was even better. The mini spicy pepperoni pizza was a fantastic surprise, and the danish was buttery perfection. It’s not the calmest café in South Melbourne, but if you like a buzzing atmosphere and bomb food and coffee, you’ll hit the sweet spot by going here, it’s very worth it.
