Cherry Republic | Holland

If you love cherry stuff, this is a MUST stop while in Holland. They have amazingly legit free samples (chocolate covered cherries, dried cherries, cherry jam and crackers, cherry sour balls, cherry salsa, and more!) Towards the back of the store you can sample ALL of their soda flavors for free and try the cherry slushie for free as well! The employees were incredibly friendly, fun, and helpful. The prices are a little expensive, but the quality is very good.

We were there for the day from Chicago....if you've never been make sure you stop there! The store is AMAZiNG and the staff even better! Kari and Tracee were a delight! Just went in there to look, based on a locals' recommendation, we walked out $125 later! Samples to taste, that's how we got hooked! The ladies SUPER friendly and helpful. We had a great time there and when we're in town again, we'll be there. Thank you for a great experience.

Great service, even on a busy weekend. I didn’t find a wine that I really loved, but the frozen to-go wine was fantastic.

Carly and Bobby were awesome! The Cherry Wine was our favorite. I love that they have free pop tasting for the kiddos so the adults can enjoy the wine tasting.

This place is like....OK snacks are fine like chips and salsa but you wanna kick it up to like 11/10 use some of these dips. They have free samples too. Just go and try it out and confidently say you don't wanna just eat all of the samples lol. And the staff was really helpful and nice. Highly recommend

Everything in this store is awesome. Seriously! They offer lots of samples so you can tell for yourself, but then, I warn you, you'll be hooked! Cherry jam, jelly, salsa, meat sticks, sour balls, pie, cookies, chocolate covered, dried and snack mixes. They have everything cherry.

What a unique place. this was my first time visiting this store since we are from Florida. We were walking around Holland and decided to go in for their cherry hot chocolate, and I would've never known they had had a cherry hot chocolate if it was a good sign out front of their door . I love trying all their samples and in the end I got the cherry hot chocolate. my husband got a cherry slushy and then I purchased some chocolate covered cherries and some coffee, cherry flavor, coffee . This place was super busy inside, but the staff was plenty and they kept the place clean and they had other items that wasn't just cherry, but that was their main product .

We must go to all Cherry Republics! We are your customer and will visit every location. What I like, their sour cherry balls, the cherry sour candies, all of the chocolate cherries, the wine which has come very far in deliciousness and quality, the sodas, the peanut butter when available, their chunky cookies, the horseradish sauce, too many things to mention. This is an adorable location to visit. We are fans.

So fun! A must visit if you're in the area- and a sucker for a whole store based on one food. I love that Michigan can have a store that celebrates cherries just one block from a store that celebrates blueberries. Cherry Republic is a sampling and souvenir haven for everything from cherry salsa and bbq sauce to cherry wine and dried cherries. We are so excited about the dark chocolate covered cherries, sour cherry gummies, dried cherries and cherry almond syrup that we purchased. Try before you buy works The cherry on top was the friendly and engaging customer service provided the staff. It made the whole shopping experience fun, interactive and educational. Can't wait for our next visit!

This little shop is located on the Main Street in Holland. I stopped in while exploring the area on a weekend visit. It is pretty unique, they have so many creative and cute products using cherries. We got a cherry queso dip, cherry licorice, and a trail mix with candied nuts and dried cherries. They were great snacks to have in the room over the weekend. Worth a visit!

We visited this location & wanted to say thank you for the excellent customer service we received from Kari & Barb! We love Cherry Republic! We were in town from California & bought many goodies to take home. Highly recommend visiting this store. Everything is so good!

This place was amazing! Lots of great samples throughout the whole store from front to back. Many, many options for lovers of cherries. Typical small town wine and other snack shop. Highly recommend their cherry salsas. Staff was so helpful throughout the entire visit.

No pie here! If you want pie, check out somewhere else :) We initially came here for pie (remembering the one we went to in traverse city) to discover that this is a store for their gourmet food and wine. We picked up a few yummy cherry-based thing but still left on the hunt for a Michigan pie :)

Amazing products and even more amazing-er staff. My partner and I visit Holland a couple times a year with her family and family friends. Cherry Republic will be a must-stop every time. Delicious cherry mustards, salsas, and jams. The summer sausage (esp. the one with spicy pepper) was a crowd favorite. However, the staff was the beat part of this visit. Very friendly and provided us with above and beyond service. Cannot wait to be back!

I LOVE that I can get a taste of home in Holland! The cherry malt balls are HEAVEN as are the cherry covered pretzels. Do yourself a favor, Visit downtown Holland and be sure to stop in to Cherry Republic

I mean... they have a bottle named 1989 after Taylor swift , how could you know love this place? Just kidding it's not named after her, it's the year it opened but it is one of my favorite wines there! $9 wine tasting for 5 wines and unlimited soda tasting for the kiddos! The best part? Delicious samples throughout the store! I love this place , the staff is always friendly and they have fun and delicious products and wine. You get a $4 off a bottle of wine coupon if you do the tasting! This is a great spot for some cherry goodies and wine!

My husband and I did a wine tasting here. Tastings were three one ounce pours (that's really not an awful lot) for 3.00, so basically a buck an ounce. There were quite a few to choose from, and we found a few that we liked and purchased. There was more that I would have liked to try that were not on the list, but they weren't available to try unless a bottle was already opened, which is a shame because it might have been THE ONE that I would have liked the most and I think it's safe to say that if we would have wanted to try it someone else later in the day would have liked to as well.......it surely wouldn't have gone to waste. There were some neat food items for purchase as well. We got some fantastic oatmeal cookies that had chocolate chunks, dried cherries and pecans in them. They were great with coffee later in the day.

I can honestly say I've never seen so many Cherry based products anywhere, and some quite incredibly unique items as well. As interesting as cherry wine sounds, it also seems like it would be a bad hangover. But that probably was one of the few items I didn't buy. I bought some Montmorency Dried Cherries (my favorite, a bit tart), dark chocolate covered cherries, cherry vinaigrette, dark cherry coffee beans, bacon cherry chutney... it's just amazing the products they had. I've also been to their Ann Arbor location as well. Such a neat store.

If you do wine tasting...cherry adore is a must try! Amazing wines, 6 samples for $5...fun way to take a break from shopping all the unique items in their store. One of my favorite places!

Stopped in here expecting a little tourist trap of a store, and it absolutely is. But it's also very well done. Everything cherry that you can imagine. Salsas, chocolates, jams, hot sauce, coffee, fruit, wines, etc. etc. Samples of lots of their products that you can try, wine tastings available for a very reasonable cost in the back of the house. Wish you could have tasted more, but they were kind, helpful, and everything was very good. Left with a box full of gifts and treats and loved everything that I got.

Sour cherry balls, chocolate covered cherries, cherry sour patches, and cherry salsa... write those down because those are my top four items from this shop. They're all SO good. These stores (at least pre-pandemic) always had samples out for people to try before they buy, which we always love. These stores are all throughout Michigan, so if you're in the state, you must visit at least one of them!

Didn't know they even offered wine tastings! But I saw a fuzzy bear on the street and ran to take a picture w him! After all it was a festival! Kristen (?) was our server, and knowing cherries are made in the wine, I knew I wouldn't be crazy about their wine. However, I settled on the Pinot Noir and purchased all the souvenirs needed for the trip. After having such poor service at Warner, this tasting made up for the trip! Plus they were extremely busy, and still able to help more than 10 people at a time. They also offered soda tastings, I believe infused w cherries as well? I'm unsure since I was there for the wine Kristen was very kind and accommodating for this dry drinker and I appreciate her patience and willing to help me find a wine I could drink. She gift wrapped all the glass products I purchased and sent me on my way. If you need anything, from cheese to wine to gifts to snacks, please stop in here for excellent customer service and people that want you to enjoy your trip to Holland!

Cute little store right in the heart of the downtown district. They have allot of cherry things...imagine that. Good selection of local wines, cookies, candies, all things made from Michigan Cherries. One of the better shops in all of downtown, its a must stop when in Holland. We bought some wine, Cookies, candy..all yummy stuff. its a hard place to walk through and not find something you need

Disappointed would be a major understatement. I WAS going to buy a case of wine and a bunch of the cherry salsa, but ended up walking out of the store when I wasn't being helped. I had my salsas in hand and was waiting in line to be assisted, but wasn't being assisted when there were 3 people behind the counter. Most likely will not be returning.

As I love cherries this is a great stop. The BBQ sauce is great, as is most everything else I have boght there. just a tad on high side cost wise but not really bad for tourist area/

This place must be new-ish, because I don't remember it being here in years past. My curiosity and their cute sign sitting in the sidewalk is what drew me in. The samples of chocolate-covered cherries that immediately greeted me confirmed that I'd made the right the decision. This place sells cherry everything! Peanut butter, jams, salsa, BBQ sauce, teriyaki sauce, sodas and the list goes on. Something extra fun and random? At the back of the shop there is a red ball pit that they encourage you to jump in and have fun! Well, my two year old boy sure loved that! And we got some super cute pictures.

What a fun shop! We walked in while waiting for a table at a local restaurant, not knowing what to expect, but we were thoroughly thrilled. The plentiful samples gave us a chance to try great variety of cherry-based applications, and we were enticed by many of them. The ball pit in the back is super fun, and the employees were very kind to our kiddo as well. We noticed a bar in the back which looked like beverage samples were available at some point, but there was no one staffing that area while we were there

This location is one of a few I've visited in Michigan. I loved the layout and the bright, inviting look of the store. It was Customer Appreciation day on Mother's Day when we visited and we were greeted with an invitation to partake in one of their huge cookies free of charge! Whether you want some sweet treats in the candy section, such as chocolate covered cherries in milk or dark chocolate or something sweeter such as sour patches or malted milk balls etc... there's plenty to choose from. If candy isn't your thing, try one of their cherry jams or spreads. Their salsas are delicious and so is their unique coffee, cherry flavored pop, cookies and so much more. You really have to pay them a visit to experience all they have to offer because trying to describe the delicious goodness isn't as good as seeing it first hand! As we meandered this lovely store, I noticed the wine tasting counter. We wanted to try a few selections of wine and hard cider, but the server was overwhelmed with a full counter of people waiting for their turn to sample and others buying multiple bottles of flavors they had already sampled. We had a whole town to explore and decided to give it a try during our next visit to Holland. I love Cherry Republic and if you're in the area, try the free samples, sign up for their catalog, join their email list because their products make wonderful and delicious gifts for any person young or young at heart! I've given Cherry Republic gifts and they were well liked and appreciated! If you're ever in upper Michigan, I highly recommend the journey to their Glen Arbor location. It's worth the adventure and a walk or stay in the lovely town.

The best place ever, it gives you free samples! That taste like heaven. If you're lucky, you can go the Peaches after. I love the covered cherries in chocolate. I like the non covered cherries, they taste like they have a million grams of sugar in them. But they probably don't. Best cherries ever. everything is delicious.

This lovely shop has got me smitten over cherries. There are beautiful cherrywood wares, sweet and chewy dried cherry varieties, delicious sauces, spices and salsas showcasing local cherries and a wonderful variety of wines and elixirs made from the featured fruit. The wine bar graciously allows you to sample 5 wines before making a selection. We got a bottle of Cherry Adore, which has a smooth, silky chocolate finish. I love this store and would gladly drive 2 hours to pick up special gifts for the people I love.

I like the Arbor location so stopped here on a previous trip. Cherry is a great addition to most things and most of my purchases I was happy with except the cherry salsa. In a small biye as a sample, it was goid but buying a jar wasn't the best idea. I should have bought more chocolates instead. My favorite from the trip was the chocolate cherry coffee.

Free samples, free wine tasting. Just two of the many many reasons Cherry Republic is on my list of favorite Michigan stores. Having been to the big store up in Glen Arbor, I was elated to learn of the new storefront in downtown Holland. It's among my favorite weekend activities to come inside and taste the cherry themed awesomeness. From BBQ sauce to coffee to peanut butter to soda to wine to mustard to ketchup to...you get the idea. Who would have known that all of these things could be enhanced with the introduction of cherries? Now I'm not a real big cherry fan but I love the items at this store. So if you're not a cherry lover don't feel like you're going to hate all these products. I'll bet you won't notice too much. But there is a hint of cherry in everything here. I seriously recommend you come in and hang out for a few minutes. The free wine tasting doesn't hurt either! Just save me some of the chocolate covered cherries for me please.

Love everything about this place. You seriously can't go wrong with any purchase. Their salsas are outstanding and so are the chocolate covered cherries! We got a cheriyaki sauce and marinating some chicken! Can't wait to try it. Check this place out!!!

It's hard to know where to begin. From trailmix and chocolates to honey and meat rubs and wines... so many unique selections. The salsas,however, won the day for me. Amazing customer service as well. I asked an associate about a product and he opened it and let me try it. Between the products and the service, they've certainly earned my business... except at their Ann Arbor location. : )

If you though cherries were only for pies then think again. This specialty shop seamlessly and brilliantly includes cherries in every item such as brown spicy mustard, BBQ sauce, salas and did I mention the cherry cider. ,You can sample most of everything; yes even the cider.

Our only regret was it was too busy for us to do a wine tasting! I don't want to admit how much $$ I spent here but it was essentially my vacation play money budget. EVERYTHING was delicious. The store had plenty of samples out to tempt you and prices were actually decent considering it's a specialty shop in a tourist town. We liked the mild/wild cherry teas so much I ordered more after returning home. Definitely worth a stop!

The perfect place to grab a gift when you're out of town. Chocolate, salsas, BBQ sauces...So many tasty treats. They also do wine tastings-yum! The hard cherry apple cider was amazing. We loved the cherry wine spritzer too. The wine tasting was a good deal at $7. We will definitely be back!

Awesome awsome awsome! Brought family from south and they let them try their cherry salsa (no samples were out) and we bought a few LARGE jars from trying! Great with kiddos and great products! Will continue telling others about Cherry Republic!
