A wide trail with washrooms at the parking lot and at the lake. I’d say it’s moderately easy so good for kids.

Amazing lake and a nice hike. The drive to the trail head was a bit hard on our vehicle as the Smith-Dorian parkway is a very bumpy ride. The trail was moderate and we encountered lots of other hikers but I hear you can bump into bears quite often so definitely carry bear spray on you. The lake and its surroundings are beautiful, the water is clear and very cold.

Followed the snowshoe trail in the winter. As it is a pretty busy trail, snow was packed and snow shoes were not needed. There is a little steep section, but overall a fairly easy hike up.

Very very beautiful. Hiking is very easy and just 4.5 kms one way. Luckily we were able to experience the first snow of the season and it feels like heaven

Made it to only 700 meters from the lake but that was just fine (only didn't go all the way because we were running out of daylight)... It's all covered in snow anyways. Intended to use snowshoes but the path was so well packed, so the snowshoes did not go on. It was my first time using nano spikes and it was a perfect experience on the trail... Dec 17/24.

Awesome snow showing and cross country skiing trail. Great views of surrounding peaks including Mt. Chester. Keep following the trail all the way to the elephant rocks.
