Chestnut Nature Park

Had a great time at chestnut nature park. A park for everyone, regardless of your level of hiking expertise. Combination of short and long trails, very clearly marked. Sufficient variety that your experience is effectively customizable according to how much you wish to walk. There's a nice observation tower as well, with a nice view. One thing we were confused about in your visit, was the absolute proliferation of broken glass and ceramic shards across the trails. This is one place you do not want to fall down! Though it was also well maintained enough that there were no obviously hazardous footing to be concerned about. Interested in coming back to check out the quarry some other posters have remarked about. Hiking enthusiasts should also be wary of monkeys snatching miscellaneous items. Do not provoke them! Also, note that wild boars always have the right of way.

I like this nature park. There is one tower not far from the entrance, which you can enjoy the spectacular view from top. During good weather, the sky is so blue with floating clouds which make you feel calm and peace. There were many cyclists, but they were cycled on their cycling path. Toilet is located near the entrance.

it is a very good hiking forest area . came at 2130 n left at 2300 . many creatures to observe.please remember to respect the creatures and its home the forest .

The northern loop is a straightforward 1.7km route that takes just over 30 minutes, with gentle terrain and clear signage throughout. Along the way, you’ll find a couple of huts for shelter, small bridges, and a quiet stream — simple highlights that add charm to the walk. I’d rate it a 4 out of 5 — accessible, peaceful, and a welcome retreat from the city.

Great for weekends with nothing to do and want to take a walk in the park. This place consists of hiking and bike trails which are well divided but sometimes people just walk or ride anyhow. There are plenty of monkeys around doing their own thing. It’s not a bad layout and good for those that enjoy both hiking and riding.

It's very good trail for trekking. But there is no drinking water or ranger station like in MacRitchie Reservoir. You need to carry Water and food. You need to plan the distance or duration of the trek because there is no shortcut to come out of the trail either you come out at other end or you have to turn back.

Took a short hike to the quarry! Lots of fun and there lots of bridges over lakes. The quarry has lots of good photo opportunities, but a family of monkeys live there. Don’t get too close! There are short paths and long paths, and lots of animals! Some tiles in the ground, so it’s a bit bumpy. Not that many mosquitoes, and fun. You do not need tickets to enter.
