It's Parker & Otis without the Parker, or maybe it's the Otis?! It a shop full of fancy gifts lacking the food and coffee option and it goes by Chet Miller. Who is this Chet Miller? Apparently, it's the name of an owner's grandfather, but man, did he have great taste! If you LOVE graphically and visually appealing things, this shop is for you. And why do I mention Parker & Otis? Because they're running it and giving you curated gifts, decor and artifacts.
The shop has officially been open for one week and one day (opening on Tuesday, October 27th), customer service is friendly and while the shop is not as large as Parker & Otis, the smaller space is chalk full but in an organized and visually attractive way. With featured collections from Veuve Cliquo, Izola, Collard Greens, Vietri, Rifle Paper Co. and more! They have everything from kitchen settings and stemware to greeting cards, recipe books, drink mixers and other non-perishable goods. Durham was in desperate need for a shop like this, it's Deco of Raleigh meets a Bull, but still with that "I'm a guest at The Durham Hotel" price tag. Overall, it's a great addition to downtown.
