The green suite is SO sweet! Veronica was the most incredible host! Very clean room and it was as done up so beautifully. She made us fresh muffins and the room had everything we could possibly need. We got to watch the sunset and watch bunnies running around the property. I highly recommend outfitters inn!

We spent a couple of nights here as part of our Cabot Trail adventure and honestly could have stayed here much longer. We stayed in the cottage up on the hill and loved it. There was a deck with chairs and a table that we used to eat dinner while watching the sun set. The inside was clean and well furnished. There was a full kitchen that could be used though we ate out for our meals. The owner is very friendly and helpful - and made us blueberry muffins that were awesome - especially as a mid day snack while out exploring the region. Definitely recommend!

Stayed here with a friend in June and it was the perfect place to spend 2 nights at the end of our time in Cape Breton. We ended up following several of Veronica's suggestions (hiked the Skyline twice in one day, saw the cows, went to Freya & Thor, etc), the room was comfortable and spacious (and had been recently updated), the blueberry muffins were great, and Veronica was welcoming

Veronica’s accommodation was perfect for our stay before we headed into the Cabot trail. The room was very comfortable with lovely linens and pillows, and everything we needed. Nice well -finished bathroom. Beautiful view. Best of all was Veronica’s warm hospitality and enthusiastic demeanour. Highly recommended.

I really enjoyed my stay here. I was in the Green room and everything about it felt so cozy. The blueberry muffins made by Veronica were delicious. Just a note, this is no longer a bed and breakfast but there are some nice local cafes and restaurants that offer breakfast/brunch options.

Outfitters Inn is a charming facility a little outside of town in a peaceful, pastoral setting. A car is a necessity if you stay here. It is not equipped with a breakfast room so you're on your own in that regard. Our room was spotless and featured a number of surprising unexpected little touches that made you feel at home. We had intentions to stay two nights and would have loved to except an intense storm system rolled in and we decided to travel onto to our next destination. Our gracious hostess facilitated the arrangements to cancel our second night without charge.

Fantastic stay. It is back a gravel road with a hill and a bridge over a creek that can flood. The lady warned us that many motorcycle riders do not like the road. It can be tricky but we were on dual purpose motorcycles. The only potential problem we could have had is at the fork in the drive. We turned left and continued to the main house.||The room was great, clean, and comfortable. The lady said she used to do breakfast but at her age she began slowing down. She does make some good blueberry muffins. There is coffee in the room, microwave, and sink. ||It is a pleasant view sitting on the porch. We wanted to stay another night but time was running out.

Our room was wonderful, with a beautiful view out over fields to the ocean and the sunset. Our hostess was lovely and, since we were not eating breakfast, had fresh, home made blueberry muffins waiting for us when we arrived. She also recommended that we hike into the Gypsum Mine Lake, which was a lovely easy trail and well worth the effort before we went on to longer hikes in the NP. It is outside town, but not enough to be an issue.

Yelp
What a memorable B&B! We spent a night in the chalet and were delighted with the accommodations. Lot's of fresh air flowing through to keep us comfortable ... and a great place to watch the sunset. As you approach the property, watch carefully for the signs on either side of the street. They come up on you quickly when arriving from the south. Then go up the gravel road to the top of the hill. Take a moment to look back and enjoy the view of the hills and ocean in the distance. Very pretty location. I loved the fact that this property is still slightly out of town, so we got country ambience but could be in the city center within just a few minutes. Veronica is what put this place into the fifth star for us. What a delightful (and talented) host! She prepared a stellar breakfast (if you leave hungry it's your own fault) and entertained us with her stories ... of which she has many. Take time to look at her paintings. Amazingly, she is completely self-taught! When I made my booking, I was curious about the choice of name for this B&B. Ask Veronica to tell you the story, but in a nutshell, her husband used to make their living by taking tourists on deer hunting trips. At some point in the past, the deer population plummeted and that industry faded away ... and the couple entered the B&B business. Veronica's way of telling the story is much better.

Yelp
This is a rustic bed and breakfast so don't expect anything fancy. Very basic accommodations outside of town and a very simple breakfast repeated each morning (eggs, bacon, blueberry muffins, pancakes or French toast). Owners Veronica and Giles are hardworking locals but very short and rigid in dealing with patrons.
