Cheval Blanc Randheli

"It stands to reason that the Cheval Blanc Randheli, the latest resort from luxury conglomerate LVMH (owners of Louis Vuitton, Céline, Dior, etc.), would set the bar high. The white sands and turquoise waters of the Noonu Atoll, in the northwest Maldives, are the backdrop for 45 one- and two-bedroom villas. The one I stayed in was set back from the beach amid coconut palms, but others are built out over the water. All are supremely elegant—decked out in travertine and cinnamon wood, butter-soft leather, and French linens—and completely private. Not to mention huge: The smallest is nearly 2,600 square feet; mine had a private 40-foot-long infinity pool, and there was enough room in the breezy courtyard between my indoor bath and my equally massive outdoor shower for a restorative massage. As looks go, it doesn’t get chicer than this, but the whimsical touches—turtles drawn in the sand along the path to my villa, thoughtful little notes from my butler left alongside the pitchers of fresh juice—are what truly give this place its character. And the overwater restaurant, Deelani, was my dream combination of beach shack and high-style seafood emporium. –Maria Shollenbarger Editor's Pick: Gold List 2018"

I had an amazing stay at this luxury resort. The villa was incredibly spacious, beautifully designed, and offered complete privacy. It was so quiet and peaceful — perfect for a relaxing getaway. The private pool was massive, one of the largest I've seen in a villa, and made the experience feel even more exclusive. One of the highlights was arriving by the resort’s own seaplane, which made the journey unforgettable. Everything from start to finish was seamless and serene. Highly recommended if you’re looking for true luxury and tranquility.

The incredible harmony of Cheval Blanc’s luxury with the Maldives’ magnificent sea and nature is truly unforgettable. The perfection of the hotel staff stands out. The variety of restaurants is impressive, and the food is delicious. It is truly a magnificent hotel in every respect. I have also stayed at resorts such as One&Only and Four Seasons Landaa Giraavaru in the Maldives. They were beautiful, but Cheval Blanc surpasses them in performance.

From the moment you arrive, the design and spacious villas make it clear this is more than just a place to stay it’s a true work of art. Every detail feels considered, and the dining is as impressive as the setting. Service is flawless, with staff recognizing you by face and remembering your preferences without needing reminders. The spa on its own island, the healthy restaurant, the beach club for snorkeling, and the fantastic kids’ club all add to the experience. A special mention to our butler Herakli, whose professionalism and care went far beyond expectations, making the stay unforgettable.

This was our 7th trip to the Maldives (to celebrate our 23rd anniversary), we decided to stay at Randheli which indeed really blew me away. The quality of service that Cheval Blanc staff had delivered was not only exceptional but also genuinely warm and thoughtful, starting from the hotel representative who picked us up at the airport to everyone whom we got opportunity to talk to. Special thanks to Mme. Silvia, M. Rico Haus, the staff we chatted with at the dining venues : Astrof (thank you for sharing your Maldives spice blend that indeed elevated the taste of the dish I was having), Sami (the very friendly restaurant manager), Evente; also Said (the surf simulator instructor) and not to forget our majordome, Nasheed, all of you had made our stay at Randheli feel as if we’re at home, so enjoyable and special! Also we’re so grateful for the chef at White Restaurant (apologies as we didn’t ask your name) who had made very special gluten & dairy free pastries & donuts for my younger daughter. |We stayed at the Lagoon Garden Villa as well as the Island Villa, both villas were beautifully designed and very spacious , filled with wonderful amenities. |Unfortunately the weather was not on our side during this stay but since there were plenty to do around the island and also in the villa, we never got bored. Also the island itself was so lush with beautiful landscaping.|We really cannot wait to go back!

Definitely Randheli is the epitome of luxury, the villas are stunningly designed, both water and island villas; offered the best amenities and spacious indoor and outdoor spaces. Also what impressed us the most was the quality of service that the staff provided. The only issue we had was the overall taste of the meals being served at the 3 dining venues we had the chance to dine in: White, Deelani & Dyptique; the latter being the least favorite for us (the sushi rice was terribly prepared & the beef dish that my husband had was not appetizing). Overall we had an amazing stay apart from the dining experience. Thank you for the warm hospitality from all the stay we’ve had opportunity to interact with.

This was our second stay in the last eight months! This is the eighth resort we have visited in the Maldives and we love the luxurious, large villas combined with a bougie LVMH branded high-end feel without being tacky. This is felt from the lovely products in the beautiful gift shop to every linen, body product and alcohol offering. It just works well. Did I mention the fabulous French pastries? Personally we love the high quality bikes to ride around the lovely island and experience so many special well thought out areas like mini golf and sunset patios and beaches. The servers make you feel like family with caring and engaging Maldivian hospitality. Thanks Gasim for ensuring our stay was well curated, and thanks again Laurent to your team of professionals for taking such good care of us and treating us like family.

This was our second stay at Cheval Blanc and it did not disappoint (well, except for below). The Male airport is new and Cheval Blanc has a new lounge. The Cheval Blanc staff makes arriving and departing at the airport painless, which is very much appreciated. We stayed in the same villa, 46, which is beautiful. Our Butler Mr. G was the best. It was our anniversary and he went all out decorating our room. It was so special. He made everyday spectacular for us. Cheval Blanc, in general, leaves nothing to want. The villa has everything you need and more. They do not skimp on the amenities they provide in the room. Everything is top notch. You do not feel ripped off. For example, they don't charge for endless amounts of chocolates and snacks, which plenty of their competitors have no problem doing. The food is good. I wouldn't say amazing. I remember it being better. We ate mostly at Deelani, the Italian restaurant. The pasta was definitely better the last time. We ate once at the White and once at Diptyque both were fine. One word of caution, which put a damper on 2 1/2 out of the five days of my trip... On a snorkeling trip, they neglected to warn us that there is plankton (sea lice) in the water. Had we known this we would have bought a long sleeve swim shirt that would have helped me from getting bites all over my body which resulted in a extremely itchy skin irritation causing red bumps all over my arms and legs. Although I complained to the guide when I felt the bites in the water and she told me that if I wanted to I should go back to the boat, once on the boat, no one ever told me to rinse off. So, as a result, I spent the next few days itching and applying ointment and calamine lotion to my body. A nice way to spend a very expensive vacation. Then to add insult to injury, during our dinner at Deelani, I was visited by the resort manager that tried to insult my intelligence by questioning whether this was actually caused by a food allergy, and not by the plankton. Needless to say, I do not have food allergies, I felt 1000 bites in the water and he ruined my dinner.
