Chewie's Chicken & Biscuits – A Must-Visit! The food here was so good, I had to come back a second time—and it was just as incredible! The portions are generous without being overly heavy or greasy. The first time I visited, I waited over 30 minutes, but it was absolutely worth it. Keep in mind, it’s a small spot with seating for about 20 people, so be patient—it pays off! Highly recommend the chicken biscuits made with white meat tenders and topped with their Canadian maple syrup—delicious! Don’t miss the French toast, gator tots, salad, bacon, and a mimosa to round out the meal. I'll definitely be back!

This place is the bomb. Stella was fantastic offering suggestions as a first time guest. Very friendly and easy to talk to. I settled on the two piece combo with panko zucchini as my side. The food is all made fresh and tastes absolutely fantastic. I'll definitely be back to try their other offerings. Thanks Chewie's Chicken & Biscuits

Google
I had breakfast, ordered the hot momma Benny, with a side of salad. The meal was tasty throughout. The fried chicken was tender (but not crispy), the eggs perfectly runny, the biscuit crispy. The hot sauce was flavorful, just not actually spicy. The salad with the nut dressing was great too. All in all, a satisfying meal. I recommend you try it out.

Google
I don’t leave reviews often, but I HAD to for this place. I always love finding new delicious, unique food, and this was by far one of my favourite finds in Vancouver! The dishes have a ton of flavour, and you really can’t go wrong with anything you pick. I landed on the Hot Mumma style chicken Benny and LOVED it. My husband had the Moose and said it was delicious. Excited to try the other dishes! The atmosphere is really nice and I love that it’s a family owned and operated restaurant. Service was super friendly, and chef is truly talented! I literally recommended this place to everyone after eating here!

Great food, warm service! Georgia, our server, is super personable and nice! Excellent bang for your buck too! Highly recommended! (Will definitely come back to try their other offerings.)

Google
It was wow delicious brunch! Staffs were super kind, fast and more than anything the food was really delicious and satisfying! Recommend hot mama brunch ✨😭 I will come back and try their other sandwiches and fried chicken combo!

Google
What a delicious meal! They were so welcoming of single dining, and made modifications with no issues! The server Georgia, was just so awesome and the food was so delicious! Would highly recommend the brunch!

Google
Super enthusiastic & friendly cashier. Honest about the time required to prepare a fresh order (15 mins). We ate the order before I got a photo of the chicken & fries (too seasoned for my preference), chicken burger & shortcake. The whip cream was packed separately but after an hour drive home, was runny. Only one option for sausage gravy. Would love to try a turkey version.

Yelp
This place was very tasty and a fun spin on chicken and waffles--the eggs benny was so good! The biscuit crunchy but so buttery and flaky! Service and ambiance was excellent--the owner was a delight!

Yelp
Really amazing fried chicken. The city is chock-full of Korean fried chicken joints (which I love, as a Korean), but is rather lacking in Southern-style chicken. Chewie's does it the best that I've had in Vancouver, mainly thanks to its excellent seasoning and consistent crisp. The biscuits are nice too, but they're on the drier side. I love the fried chicken biscuit sandwiches at Pine State Biscuits in Portland, and it's definitely a cut below those as a sandwich. I've only ever ordered in, but I will go into the store at my next opportunity.

Yelp
We live a few blocks away and have been wanting to try this place for years. However, like all the small restaurants in these blocks, their dining room is quite small and the seating is usually pretty tight. We knew they had a patio in the summer, and were waiting until then to grab a seat in the patio where we would get a bit more elbow room. Somejow years passed though and we just made it for the first time today. I had the breakfast wrap which was really good, although it would be better if they put the potatoes *inside* the wrap (like in an authentic New Mexican breakfast burrito) rather than serving them on the side. Also, the jalapeno sauce that came with the wrap was completely flavorless, with no hint of heat at all. Thankfully they had bottles of Valentina all over the place. We just had waters, but they also had a few beers on offer. I probably would've ordered a Caesar if they had them, but I didn't see it in the menu. Bummer. The back patio was great, although there is *a lot* of sun and only two small umbrellas. There were a couple of other tables besides us, and everyone was cramming together to fit into the shade. The patio would be so much better if they invested in some additional umbrellas - or better yet, maybe a tent or awnung- so all of the tables were shaded. The service was amazing - the woman who took our order and delivered our food was extremely friendly. I didn't tip since we ordered at the counter, but in retrospect I wish I had because she deserved it.

Yelp
We looooooved Chewie's. We loved it so much we went back twice over the course of a 4 day period. We got to meet the owner the second time we went and he was such a nice guy. We're planning a trip back in August and Chewie's is already on our list to eat at. Get the chiccarones. They're sooo good. Craving them right now.

Yelp
Ordered online unable to speak on the ambiance of the restaurant or service but will %1000 percent be there. AMAZING food absolutely amazing food the breakfast sandwich is so delicious, the gator tots are to die for (I'm definitely a sucker for them and these are genuinely some of the best) very delicious seasoning. The mac and cheese could use some improvements I will not lie I've had much better and probably won't be ordering again but I can't even take a star off for that all the other food is so amazing. I really really recommend trying out some of their food and for sure know I'll be going back. This place deserves so much more credit love it!

Yelp
Wow. If there ever was a place that deserved more than five stars it's this place. We ordered the 10 piece family pack. Each of us got a huge piece of thigh plus a huge drumstick. This fried chicken is heavenly. It is crispy but not too crispy nor overdone. Really juicy inside. Amazing flavour. We all agreed this was amongst the best we've had. I immediately thought, this puts most KFC places to shame. I'm sorry. The fries are good too. The gravy. It's some good gravy. The biscuits. They are big, fluffy, crispy on outside, really well done. You can ask for butter and jam with it. They melted the butter for us. Both of the sides we had were awesome too. The panko zucchini was sooo good. Really crisp. Oh and the chichirron and bacon corn. Spicy but great. Really friendly service as well. It was pretty quiet when we went on Sunday night but normally packed. Make this one of your stops in Kits for sure.

Yelp
This place is a decent brunch place with a nice patio in the back for a sunny day. Food is 3/5 for me. They focus on fried chicken and American biscuits so the menu is designed around these main ingredients. I would recommend trying their main dish, everything with both chicken and biscuits. The chicken in general is not the style I like, a bit dry for my taste. The mac and cheese is not really good, a bit blend in flavours. The potatoes on the other hands is addictive! Service is 4/5, they are really nice and cheerful but they did forget one of our appetizers. To be fair we also forgot about it until end of meals.

Yelp
Went here for brunch today. The place is small but quaint. The service was good but the poor server was on her own. It's too much for one person. She was friendly but probably not the most efficient. Food was ok. The fried chicken and fries are spicy but juicy. Maybe too much spice for most people and I can eat quite spicy too. Food and presentation were good but quite expensive. 2 meals was $50 after tax and tip . That's a lot for brunch.

Yelp
So glad we stumbled upon this little gem.... All the way from Chicago and Lancaster, Pa. Most excellent people. Everything we ordered was amazing but wow Hot Mumma Chicken Benny was slammin!! Hope to come back again some day!!

Marie S.

Yelp
The food and service was amazing! We were in Vancouver for Taylor Swift and stumbled on Chewie's! OMG delicious!
google avatar

Yelp
A quaint restaurant with only a few tables and chairs; seats maybe 24 people. Chicken is deliciously fried and not oily or too salty. The brunch is served all day and the prices are quite reasonable.

Yelp
We were in the neighbourhood doing errands and decided to stop by here for some takeout. Each order is made fresh to order and my mouth was salivating as I smelt my order being prepared. We got the "Loaded Chicken Waffle" which came with the biscuit waffle, friend chicken, egg, and bacon and it was SOOOOO delicious especially when it was freshly made to order. The chicken had so much flavour and was not too dry and paired nicely with the other items. Would highly recommend!!

Yelp
One of the highlights of our time in the city. Biscuits are wonderful! I'm a Southerner and picky about the quality of fried chicken and this one is delicious.

Yelp
Their coffee is the worst I've ever had, kinda sad I had to pay for something I didn't drink. Their chicken and biscuit breakfast was amazing, and their breakfast potatoes are heavenly. Would highly recommend

Yelp
Nice place to go! I will come again!!!!! Chicken toast and chicken biscuit Benny!!!!!!!!

Melanie M.

Yelp
It has hard to choose, but I went with the chicken on a biscuit (Chewilli sauce) and a side of fries. Hands down the best fried chicken ! Many more visits planned as there are so plethora of dishes to still try.
google avatar

Yelp
Yummy biscuits, great service, and staff. The only thing that wasn't great was the spinach, there seemed to be a lot of onion and a strong taste of charred onion. Some people might not mind, but I'm not a fan of onion and wasn't expecting this.
google avatar

Yelp
Cannot say that this js the best fried chicken i ever had but it is solid. Really enjoy the French Toast Chicken!!! Coffee could improve a tad... if you are picky. Lovely staff and casual ambience that is awesome for a quick bite!!!

Yelp
This spot was an amazing find! We were googling a place from the airport to Whistler and the name was interesting so we made a stop for a late lunch. Quiet, clean, and sooooo delicious! We ate desserts first and those cookies, donuts and apple fritters were to die for! They warmed the fiber molasses cookie! The French toast was crunch on the outside and sooo soft on the inside. Chicken thighs were crispy and JUICY! My kids had the tenders and fries and there was not one bite left on the plate! I can't wait for the ride back to Vancouver so we can go back to this spot!

Yelp
Was there on weekday lunch time. Not busy. Only 2 parties eating and one person waiting for takeout. Seems like they had some issues in kitchen and most orders are delayed on that day. I ordered fried chicken on waffle. Waited a bit. But food is good. Can't finish all waffles. May come back just for the fried chicken next time. Place is clean and comfortable. Staff is friendly and attentive. Refilled my water a few times. Bye they don't sell alcohol.

Yelp
ordered chicken and waffles, garlic cauliflower, and a benedict don't order the garlic cauliflower if you don't like super oily foods - they were drowning in oil recommend the chicken and waffles though! price was a little high for the value of the food

Yelp
This place is amazing!!! My boyfriend and I stumbled upon this place when we wanted some fried chicken for brunch and wow it succeeded expectations! I was torn between the moose and the chicken Benny and the waitress/cashier was so nice and helpful she suggested doing half and half. This way I could still get the cream cheese from one and the hollandaise from the other. My boyfriend got the hot momma one but the homemade hot sauce was so good we asked for extra on the side. I usually don't like hot sauce as I'm bad with spicy but this sauce was amazing. It was buttery smooth and had a tangy kick. Because the food is incredible you'd think this kind of place is one of those places that has a line out the door at all times. Although they were still busy on a Saturday at 1, the waitress said they just flip tables really quickly so the line never gets too long. This makes sense as our food came out pretty quickly. I love they make conscious efforts to not have a big line of people outside! We were so impressed by the staff here as everyone was so friendly and willing to answer any questions we had about the menu, made sure our water glasses were full, tables were quickly cleaned, and checking in on us to see how we liked our meals. The waitress was so nice that when we said how much we loved the homemade hot sauce she said if we wanted to we could probably buy some so we did! All in all, you need to come here. The food is as amazing as it looks, it's a cool atmosphere, and the staff is great!

Yelp
Chewie's is a mom & pop shop that serves up a satisfying, comforting meal. It's all about biscuits, gravy, and of course fried chicken here. I ordered Take Out recently and had their Breakie Bowl and The Moose Biscuit Sandwich: - The Breakie Bowl ($17) was so tasty, the hash was well seasoned and so crunchy, their biscuits as always on point with density and buttery goodness, bacon, sauteed mushrooms and onions, and egg all came together for a filling meal. - The Moose Sandwich ($14) has a piece of their crispy fried chicken in there along with bacon, egg, and gravy! I ordered the gravy on the side so it wouldn't sog up my biscuits and chicken. Everything was still crispy when I finally ate it at home. It was super easy to order & pay through their website and the food is ready very quickly after ordering! Parking in front of their shop was easy to find. And its great to support our local businesses.

Yelp
This restaurant is AMAZING! I suggest to go here for every get together with friends or family, and it truly has earned a place as one of my favourite restaurants in all of Vancouver. When I first came here I was sceptical of the quality, and I ordered the "Two piece Chicken with a Biscuit". That was in 2018. Since then I have been going there on an almost monthly basis, and I look forward to it every day. Since then, I always order: "Three piece chicken with tots" and save one of the pieces to eat for lunch the next day. Everyone here is super nice, especially the owners, who I enjoy chatting with on occasion. They always play nice music and the lighting and furniture certainly make you feel at home. When the pandemic hit, I was devastated that I would not be able to come to my favourite place anymore, but since then I have been savouring every visit. I would suggest you visit on a weekday evening, as it is usually quieter than on a weekend around the brunch rush. I wish I could give more than five stars, this place is amazing and deserves your business. Thank you, Chewie's Chicken & Biscuits, for all of the memories I have made and will make here.

Yelp
Amazing brunch spot!! Chewies is the place to go when you're craving something greasy but not overwhelming. The southern style brunch is super satisfying. I love their biscuits. They are super flaky and not dry at all. It goes super well with the fried chicken (much better than Popeyes). The gravy sauce is delicious as well. All the staff there are really nice. The first time I went, they offered us a free dessert because our food took a little bit long to prepare (it wasn't even very long). I went again recently for take out but noticed they have a super cute alley outdoor seating area that was completely empty. They were once again very nice and offered us water and the metal cutlery instead of the disposable ones for take out. The seating inside is quite spacious as well. It used to be pretty crowded inside but they've removed many of the tables. Overall some amazing and delicious experiences. Highly recommend :)

Yelp
I really want to love the food as I have always wanted to try the fried chicken and biscuits. Two of my favorite food. Covid-19 safety protocol is in place. The menu is up on the wall by the door and also outside the entrance. That made it kinda hard to remember what to order by the time I walked to the counter to place my order. I had the fried chicken Benny. The fried chicken was nice, not too dry but I felt the rest of the meal was a bit on the dry side. Not enough sauce. I did not expect the avocado to be mashed and spread on the biscuits. The eggs did not have runny yolks. Probably my bad for not saying I wanted it to be medium or runny. I was also not asked how I liked the eggs to be done. That was probably the biggest disappointment. The hash was amazing though. It was seasoned very nicely and had crispy edges and fluffy soft inside. However once it was cooled, it was also hard and dry. Maybe the actual fried chicken and biscuits will be better.

Yelp
I think Chewie's Biscuit Co. just became my new favourite place to eat in Kitsilano! It's located on West 4th, but not along the main strip - which means it's much easier to find parking and you don't run into crowds of people. This was my first time at Chewie's and I had the best time! The staff were all so sweet and really fun to interact with, and the food was spectacular. I got the two piece combo (fried chicken with fries and a biscuit) while my mom had the waffles and my dad ordered the prawn benny. My fried chicken was cooked to perfection. I seriously mean this. The chicken was incredibly juicy and tender, the coating was crisp and had just the right amount of spice, and I was amazed at how well it retained its heat - I cut the chicken into bite-sized pieces and was alternating between eating that and some french fries, yet every piece remained hot! I can't say the same about the fried chicken place near my house, so I was definitely impressed. Chewie's fried chicken may well be the best I've ever had in my life! As for the waffles, they're made using their buttermilk biscuit batter. On their own, they're a bit dry, but once you dip them in the berry compote and/or whipped cream, it's all good. Although I only had one bite of the prawn benny, it was so decadently delicious that I know I'm going to order it the next time I come here! The sweetness from the prawns mixed with the rich hollandaise and poached egg yolk...ah, now I'm craving it even more!

Yelp
The one good thing about the pandemic is that it's a perfect time to try out all the popular brunch spots in town. No more lines! I've never heard of Chewie's Biscuit Co before but they're well known for their biscuit style sandwiches & bennies. It's a few doors down from Linh Cafe. We dropped in on a Saturday afternoon (around 1:00pm) and sat by the window to people watch. The staff are friendly and outgoing, especially one of the owners. Water is self-serve in one of the corners near the counter. Menu is short and sweet; biscuit sandwiches, biscuit brunch (bennies and bowls) and Chewie's fried chicken. - Moose biscuit sandwich ($14.00) - biscuits were fresh. The fried chicken was juicy and sausage gravy complimented the chicken. I enjoyed the melted cheese element. - Smoked salmon benny ($17.00) - avocado added some creaminess. Hollandaise was light. Egg was perfectly poached. The portion of smoked salmon was small; the benny we had at Yolks was slightly better. Hashbrowns were well seasoned. Good first visit to CBC.

Yelp
You will thank me. Great take out. Super casual (can wear pjs) and be sooooo satisfied.

Yelp
Nice little place serving delicious biscuits and fried chicken, amongst other things. Like the atmosphere inside and the guy behind the counter was extremely nice and helpful. Great dude! Overall a fantastic way to start the morning.

Yelp
There's something to be said about excellent customer service, amazing food and a very hip stylish but cozy ambiance -- that's why I'm here. We were in awe of the menu, staring at the wall before the owner (Tamara I've now googled) really cheerfully came over to help us with our selections. She was so friendly and helpful - it's actually left my jaw in shock because you don't see such warm customer service. I guess there's something also to be said when you're the owner and you're working the insanely busy weekend crowd - you've gotta love what you do and what you own! Breathe it! I felt the love for their establishment. Richard Chew (owner) was right there working the brunch rush too! We all got something different and were so satisfied with our choices : chicken (friend chicken) benny, bacon Benny and I got the hot mumma (hot fried chicken) and added an egg. I was stuffed at the ends after devouring my piled high slaw, hot fried chicken and biscuit sandwich. The Benedict's came with hash browns that were piping hot and seasoned deliciously. Self serve water station otherwise coffee, lattes, mimosas, Caesar's. I'm so happy to live so close. Will be back and you will NOT be disappointed so check it out too!

Yelp
Awesome for casual brunch or decadent lunch. Friendly staff, accommodating kitchen and reliably delicious meals. The biscuits are heavenly...

Yelp
I've been here three times. I got the Moose twice and most recently, the biscuits and gravy with a chicken breast added. I also sampled the Bonut (in my case, the chocolate one). The Moose looks like a standard -- their chicken-biscuit sandwich with cheese, bacon, and an egg, along with some gravy. It's good, but a bit too busy for me, and some food items get a bit lost. I actually really enjoyed the biscuits-gravy-chicken option. It was more of their gravy, which is delicious (not like the tasteless gravy some places use to moisten their food). The Bonut was less sweet than I expected, and I was happy to try it, but it won't be replacing an actual donut for me. Amazingly, they serve beer. I didn't partake, but my friends did. The value is okay on the sandwiches, but not dips as you add additional items. It's not hard to end up at $20 a head, which was surprising to me for what you're getting. The inside of the restaurant is clean and simple. You can eat at tables, a booth, or a long counter in the front window of the restaurant. Service was excellent on one visit, passable on the other occasions. Parking is free on 4th and in the surrounding neighbourhood. Bottom line: I've been back three times, so that says something. Probably couldn't go all the time, as their isn't enough variety in the options. But what they do, they do pretty well.

Yelp
Went here again for a birthday breakfast. Decided to try the chicken & waffles instead of the eggs benny, and I was NOT disappointed. The waffle is one of the best I ever had, and of course the chicken is AMAZING. I have changed my mind and I think Chewie's is better than Jam cafe. It is a little more expensive, but 100% worth it. The staff is so so nice and on a whim, we decided to try their donuts on our way out. Again I was super impressed, the plain donut is not too sweet and it's a little bready which I LOVE. Would 100% recommend but go early because it gets busy!! Looking forward to the summer when the patio is open because it's gorgeous back there. Thank you Chewie's!!

Yelp
*Chew on this* You know that prepubescent/adolescent/mature man joke of "pull this" while holding an extended index finger? I'm sure you must know it. The unassuming party pulls on your finger and you let out flatulence. Well, "chew on this" here. No fart came out. Only saliva. Come and chew on this biscuit. Chew on the dirty fries too. May as well do the whole nine yards. Don't be an unassuming party. You'll be pleasantly surprised. Next time I come, I'm gonna ask somebody sitting next to me, "Hey, pull this"

Yelp
Saw Chewies Biscuit on IG & got down here as soon as I could. Located on 4th Ave at MacDonald St - an easy location to find. I ordered the Moose - egg, chicken, gravy cheese, bacon & biscuit. Ask for more gravy if you want! They had ketchup & hot sauce on the tables - yes please - so I poured some onto the side of my plate & was very happy - love me some hot sauce! I was pressed for time so I woofed it down. Very tasty & filling considering the size of this meal. This is a small joint so plan to pick up & go if it's busy. Perhaps avoid peek times if you're with a large group - better still call ahead to see how busy it is! To go I ordered the Clucky - a large size chicken drumstick with gravy & a bonut. Made for an enjoyable evening snack. I will be going back again to try other items.

Yelp
Amazing!! You need to check this place out. Their hot momma sauce is amazing! It's not to spicy but has a great buttery flavor. The owner of the restaurant was also running around serving and weighting tables which was nice to see. The staff were all really friendly and the food came out super quick. Thanks for the great experience, we will be coming back for sure!

Yelp
YES!! Go here and you won't regret it! I stopped by for an early lunch on a Tuesday and there was no wait plus plenty of seating. I ordered the Davis with fried chicken and Hot Mumma. The Davis was a cool twist on French toast but with a biscuit...what a brilliant concept! The entire sandwich was smothered in maple syrup and it was oh so delicious. The Hot Mumma was a savory sandwich with slaw that balanced out the fire sauce. I wish I had enough room in my stomach to try the bonuts. So much regret. Until next time...

Yelp
best service, kindest people, lovely food. everything was great. shoutout chewie and hot mumma!!!

Yelp
This place is definitely worth five stars (more if I could)! We came for lunch and it was packed out the door, but I always take that as a food sign. The place was rather small but being in Kits that's to be expected. I ordered a mushroom soup and the Moose while my wife had the Davis, and we shared the dirty fries. The service was amazing as the owner (?) had a little chat with us. The food was amazing and we definitely will be back. Yum!

Jacqueline T.

Yelp
Oh My... Mouth Watering Goodness!! Chewie's knows how to season, glaze, bake and deep fry things right!! We ordered their: moose, davis, sunrise and clucky mains! Each had a distinct and different twist. Moose and sunrise was served with their original biscuits, the Davis was with a French toast biscuit, and their cluckys a Bonut! (Biscuit donut), and wow their sausage gravy! I should've taken an after picture... where I wiped the gravy plate clean with the extra bonuts we ordered! They have been open for 6 weeks! But man... I cannot wait until they have more locations!! Their goodness and deliciousness needs to be shared and more accessibly to me... really!! Place is super cute! And service was super friendly and personable! So much love for this place! I can't wait to go back!

Yelp
I didn't know what to expect, because when I came here I was feeling pretty jaded about brunch. No matter how many ways you do an eggs benedict, it still ends up tasting like an eggs benedict. What could this cozy, counter-order establishment offer in a town saturated with options? We were greeted at the counter by Tamara, and after paying for our order, we seated ourselves. It was a busy day, so understandably the kitchen had a lot of orders to fill, but at one point I saw what looked like my order come towards my table... only to go to its rightful owner. Jokingly, I made a sad face, but Tamara saw me and made a sad face back. A few minutes later, our food came, along with a biscuit donut on the house! She apologized for the wait, and honestly, it wasn't even that long of a wait, but we were floored by this gesture. It's so rare nowadays to experience such warm customer service, and we could really feel how much love and care she has for this restaurant. Did I mention that our food was amazing? I had the fried chicken benny, and I was expecting the biscuit to be heavy and choke me like a Popeye's biscuit would, but I was blown away by how buttery soft and crumbly it was. The chicken was also perfectly fried, and the eggs perfectly runny, and even the green onions were fresher than my outfit that day. It was such a good combination of flavours, and I couldn't stop eating until it was all gone, and at one point I felt light-headed at how amazing everything tasted. It was as if the food gave me a hug, because I felt warm, satisfied, and slightly more freed from my childhood trauma. Would I come back again? Yes. All the other benedicts in town should be scared. Chewie's has the brunch game down lock.

Yelp
Came here on a whim on a beautiful Vancouver Sunday afternoon. After being open for only 2 weeks and the restaurant being featured in the Straight we thought it was a risky venture as we all were hungry. We came in and it was packed! Luck would have it as soon as we ordered the best table the house was free (always seems to go my way when I'm starving and in the verge of "hangry" lol). After getting seated we had a chance to chat with the owners. A great couple, very friendly and accommodating. Many of you may already know about Chewies previous venture, his famous oyster bar. We basically ordered all the house favourites and some Americanos. Biscuits are creative, well seasoned and delicious. The chicken was juicy with a crisp batter. The coffees were also very good. If I had had a suggestion, it would be to make the star of the dish the biscuit, a little bigger. Overall it's a good call.

Yelp
I was happy to finally try Chewie's. There's a great selection of biscuit sandwiches and bennys. Also, the service is great- fast and friendly. At first, I was gonna go with the moose biscuit that comes with fried chicken, bacon and egg. I felt it was a bit too heavy for my level of hunger, so I went with the Stoner instead. It includes fried chicken, sweet pickles, mustard and a lovely sweet plum like sauce. I'm glad I went with this. The chicken was perfect - crispy on the outside and medium firm on the inside. The biscuit was also perfect - slightly crisp on the outside, soft and fluffy on the inside. Total was $11.55. I would definitely return here to try more biscuits. I'd like to sample some of their Benny biscuits. You can also order beer on tap as well as other beverages. The place is not huge, so tables are filled up. If it's too full, you can always get biscuits to go.

Yelp
Pains me to do this, it really does! Buns have bad chew, chicken is consistently dry on the inside, sandwiches consistently hard to eat. Seasoning good, mac and cheese has nice flavor profile.

Yelp
Sept 2020: Got the fried chicken benny. The service was really good. The food was really good. Everything was cooked very well. Good portion sizes. The latte I got was pretty good too! I'd for sure eat here again!

Yelp
Brunch!! This is a small cozy brunch place, modern setting with classic brunch menu. They offered a great variety of choices and it's not overwhelming. Please note they only open till late afternoon and only street parking is offered. Something different about this breakfast restaurant that's different from others is they make their own biscuits. Ordered a few different things to try a variety. They make and serve their own biscuits which is different from many breakfast restaurants. I started with drip coffee ($3) so it's on the high average for coffee. My coffee is weak and consistent with coffee grind on the bottom (all 3 cups!! ) I would say unless you are desperate, go somewhere else for coffee. Chicken and waffle was wonderful, chicken was tender and juicy on the inside and crisp on the outside. It was also spiced perfectly to go with the waffle and syrup. The waffle is made with their biscuits batter. It was perfect. It's dense and moist which really complements the chicken. I highly recommend it! Then it's Veggie Benny, they poached the eggs just right which is perfect, the yoke was delicious with a lovely orange colour. Served on cooked kale, cooked tomato and sauce on their biscuits. This dish was a too heavy on the salt and I don't recommend it with biscuits as I feel like it was too dense, and the edge was a too dry making it hard to cut and eat. Plus side it's that with biscuits, it was very filling. It's served with perfectly seasoned and fried hashbrowns. Last but not least is Salmon Benny, again the eggs were perfect and it was served on smoked salmon, the topping again was wonderful but the biscuits kinda ruined the overall experience. Service received today was decent. The price is reasonable for breakfast, and today is not busy so the sitting and atmosphere is great. I can see if it gets busy the place can feel overcrowded so I recommend weekday trip is better.

Yelp
I hadn't eaten here in several years, and was so happy that the Moose Sandwich was just as good as I remembered. The fries were also quite good although I was so full I could barely get to them. While I'd happily go for the food alone, I was delighted with the service too---everyone seemed happy to be there, welcoming, and warm.

Yelp
I've been dying to try Chewie's Biscuit Co. for a very, very, long time. So, when I found myself with a rare weekday afternoon off, I decided to make the trek out to Kits for a late breakfast. Once you walk inside, you head to the counter in the back to order your food and they'll bring it out to you. I opted for The Moose ($13). Just to be clear, there's no moose meat here (I think). It's actually a fried chicken breast served on one of their famous biscuits and covered in sausage gravy, cheddar cheese, bacon, and a sunny-side up egg. Damn that yolk tho! I honestly have no idea how the yolk managed to stay intact given the precarious manner in which it was sandwiched within the biscuit. This is a serious winner... nice and crispy bacon, savory fried chicken with just the right amount of crisp chicken skin. The only thing that could have made this better would have been more of that creamy sausage gravy to dip with. Tip: This is a pretty dangerous thing to eat by hand if you're trying to keep yolk from dripping on your clothes - I wound up knife-and-forking it. I also ordered a Hot Chocolate ($4.50) and they kicked it up a notch by adding whipped cream, marshmallows, and sprinkles... because who doesn't love marshmallows and sprinkles? So, utterly impressed on my first visit. It's probably a good thing that I don't live closer otherwise I'd be drowning myself with biscuits all day long.
