Absolutely delicious – Chez Albert has instantly become our favorite place in Biarritz! Reservations are essential; we even saw a line of people waiting with bookings. Unfortunately, we couldn’t get a table on the terrace, but even inside the atmosphere was warm and very pleasant. The food was outstanding from start to finish – from the platter of oysters to the Saint-Pierre fish, every dish was exceptional. The dessert made with wild strawberries was unforgettable, a perfect ending to the meal. Service was excellent – attentive, friendly, and professional. Overall, it was simply divine: incredibly tasty food, wonderful atmosphere, and a place we’ll be coming back to again and again. Truly a masterpiece of dining in Biarritz!

Chez Albert is a highly recommended place who gladly took a group of nine of us without reservation and gave impeccable service with a smile. Facing the coast, they had such delicious seafood serving oysters, lobsters, prawns etc. Even if you're not a seafood lover, their mains are wonderful and we had a wonderful time here. Service is great, food is great, and the ambience is great. What more can we ask for? You will not be disappointed :) Thank you for a wonderful lunch here.

Was here only for drinks as it was mid afternoon, in-between seatings. The waiter (perhaps owner?) was a hoot. Sharp tongue and wit. Perfect sangria rouge and white wine spritz. The view here is lovely in the good sunny weather, overlooking the harbour. Would definitely return. The menu for dinner did look good. Next time.

Probably the best seafood lunch we ever had - the Plat de Fruit de Mer Royal, supplemented by an Assiette de Fruits de Mer - with a crisp dry Bandol white followed by a shared ice creamed profiterole and coffees. It was simply outstanding. Not inexpensive, but worth every euro. We didn't hold back, such was the all-round quality. Lauren (I hope that is spelt correctly) attended to us superbly. Reservations recommended, but may not be essential outside peak holiday season.

Lovely Sunday lunch with great service and a great vegetarian option of mixed hot and cold seasonal vegetables. Well seasoned and thoughtfully presented

Staff was super friendly (even tho they were so busy) and all the food we tried was fresh and delicious. Would definitely come back.

First things first. The Terrasse is great and the inside has so much Charme. Food was two different expirience. The scampi and the fish been good (hello it’s a seafood restaurant) but the meat alternative defenetly not on the same level. It’s quite narrow in the restaurant so you defenetly know everything about your neighbor after the dinner 😉 Service was a bit hectic and fighting their way trough the narrow rows. But all in all solid.

I usually don't leave bad reviews, but I just want to warn you that it's better not to go to this place, the first thing that disappointed me was a bottle of warm sparkling water, the beer wasn't super cold either, I ordered a glass of champagne, but it tasted like prosecco, and when I asked the waiter if she was sure she brought champagne or maybe the bartender got it wrong, she said that they would consider it like prosecco, then they brought a dish with different types of seafood and only the pink shrimp were good, the rest was so-so, as if it hadn't been caught in the next few days, the couple at the next table said the same thing to the waiter, to which they received the answer that from her that she wouldn't eat here herself. The tuna steak was really good compared to everything else, but overall, I didn't have a very pleasant experience at this restaurant. I'm only writing this to encourage the owner to reconsider their approach and improve the quality of their food.

Yelp
Fresh seafood sourced from local fishermen, friendly, patient service, all in a rustic seaside setting.

Yelp
If you happen to stumble upon my review and are trying to figure out a local resto to feast on I urge you to head over to Chez Albert *Especially if it's a Sunday or Monday*. We were having a little of a hard time finding good places to eat during those days. So we were happy (perhaps lucky) to find this place. Out of the four places we ate in Biarritz - Chez Albert was easily the best place we ate at. We had two main dishes(Tuna & Dorado) Oysters, and the basque sardines. All amazing We would recommend getting when they open or make a reservation ahead of time to hold your spot and enjoy it.

Yelp
Food okay but they ripped me off when the bill came. Charged me for a drink I had them take back and refused to take it off the bill.

Yelp
What is there not to love? What a perfect spot to have a wonderful seafood dinner. I had la salade poison and 6 huitres. Just delicious. Impeccable service. And this restaurant filled up quickly after 7:30. The waiter was so friendly and helpful. He even let me speak only French. What a cool guy. What a memorable experience.

Yelp
This restaurant is in a good location next to the port of Biarritz. We tried to make a reservation, but were told that they were fully committed. We decided to walk down there and take our chances as we really wanted to eat sea food. We waited for approximately 20 minutes and finally got s table. The only time that we interacted with the restaurant staff was to find a table for us and order the food. Our server never asked us if everything was ok or to check on us for anything else, perhaps he was not comfortable speaking English, however he did check on the table right next to us many times. Food was delicious, we had a sea food plater and fish soup to start and a paella as a main dish, along with a nice bottle of local white wine. Definitely what we expected as far as the food quality. They just need to improve on their service to enhance their customers experience.

Yelp
The attitude was atrocious. We had a nice table outside but once they realized that we did not speak French oh la la. I was able to get the attention of a waiter and in broken French asked him for an additional dish and he decided to school in proper French s'il vous plaits. While everyone raves about the food, it was not impressive. We had the paella and the fish soup and the sardines. The sardines were super honey and not at all pleasant to eat. The paella was greasy with too much butter and the fish soup was just off. Highly not recommended.

Yelp
After we found this place, We at there every night we were in Biarrittz ( 3 nights in a row) . The seafood is uber fresh and the setting is fantastic...a must go while in town

Qype User (Mitsid…)

Yelp
Busy , commercial, kind of mass production, personnel rather impolite ( perhaps acceptable for French standards) Food quality is good but nothing to write home about. Worthile visiting only if you can get a table on the terrace.
