A delightful traditional french restaurant. The menu was full of interesting dishes, quite meat and fish-heavy, but there were also tapas dishes and a decent selection of desserts. The venue itself looks traditional, and is well kept and there is a nice terrace outside. The staff was also lovely, and my food was served quickly. Not super cheap, but I thought it was worth it. La picana of veal was amazing.

I went to the restaurant here with my parents on Wednesday 29 October 2025 at around 6:30pm. We had a long day exploring Bordeaux area and so we had dinner earlier than usual. This might explain why the restaurant was not very crowded with only a few tables with people. Also, it was a weeknight and in the Autumn as well. In any case, the food was good and the customer service was great. The photos show the meals we ate. The scallops and ham and cheese croquettes were good for entree. The mains were a grilled octopus, veal and duck confit where all three were on point. The desserts were a creme brulee and the house-made profiteroles, which were also good. I would come back here again perhaps on a busier night in a busier season to get a feel for the atmosphere when there are more people.

This restaurant is outstanding. Decor is a classic french chic bistro style. Food is amazing. The steak was perfectly seared on the outside and rare inside (hard to do). 5 of us took the roasted pig and it was beyond words. Wine list is also great. 5/5 experience

A must-visit café! The menu is diverse and based on fresh local ingredients. Everything was super tasty, beautifully presented, and the service was excellent. We truly enjoyed the experience and will definitely come back!

Unfortunately our experience did not match the reviews. We arrived near the start of service and were hostilely offered a table inside (we assume the terrace was booked). The entrees (burrata and scallops) were pretty good, but the mains were both underwhelming and arrived over 30min after we finished the entrees. The pork ribs were salty and dry and the steak was under seasoned, literally no trace of salt. The frites were also sub par, they seemed like they’d been fried multiple times and yet were somehow soggy. The servers were working hard but the service still fell short. We waited too long to order and had to ask several times for water. It seems like an institution but unfortunately we left feeling scammed. Maybe we were there on a bad day or maybe the summer season isn’t a good time to go. We’ve eaten at many other places in the area and nearer the city center that were better, maybe look elsewhere for an enjoyable meal.

Culinary Nirvana! We were a group of eight and sat outside and were treated to an amazing meal. The service was spot on, menu choices and wine list were exciting. This is definitely a five star French restaurant experience. Highlights were definitely the steak and their extraordinary profiterole dessert (not to be missed!). I walked away completely satisfied, impressed by both the delicious menu and the staff’s genuine attentiveness, and I know this will be one of those places I return to often whenever I want a guaranteed great meal

Had lunch here, it was ok. A bit too pricey. Fish too salty for my taste. This restaurant was recommended by a tour guide but it’s a bit overrated in my opinion. I would rate this average to good..

This restaurant is a must when visiting Bordeaux. The food is excellent and the people working here are so professional and kind. I ordered the Iberico Plumpa with mashed potatoes and every bite was a treat. What a great experience!

Quick lunch started with an app of thinly sliced head cheese wrapped around a mustard-infused potato-leek salad. Simple, delicious. Followed by a seared dorade plated on top of a creamy leek sauce - beautiful cook and season. Just a beautiful way to start the day.

Excellent service & food! Personable and helpful! Tuna was delicious! Dessert was superb!

My favorite restaurant in the area! High quality incredibly delicious and beautifully served meals! Server was lively and kind. They were busy but still made us feel taken care of. HIGHLY recommend the scallops. The ravioli was interesting delicious but a total spin on what we had expected. We also had the burrata salad which was incredible! Raviolis we're least favorite but still good.

This restaurant was not as good as I hoped. My wife and I had the "sashimi" quality tuna and it literally had zero flavor. I believe it was frozen or not seasoned as I could not imagine why it would have been so tasteless. We only ate about 1/3 if the tuna and ordered the pork which was honestly only a little better. The server was outstanding and the wine was amazing. I would recommend other options when in Bordeaux.

Extremely fresh produce. The simple green salad had an amazing vinaigrette that was so complex but light. The artichoke with burrata mozzarella was elegant with micro greens. The entrees were delectable. The meat literally fell off the bone dipped itself in heaven then lavished my tongue with its succulence. Sexual AF. I mean I was aroused. The lamb was beautifully prepared. Simple and definitely paying homage to the quality of the animal. The duck was so tender and the skin was exceptionally delicious with its crunchy bits. Clearly the fat was rendered appropriately over a long period of time. I have never had better duck in my life. Period. For not being a haute cuisine environment, this restaurant delivered everything I love about French food. Authentic awesomeness. Do not miss it when in Bordeaux.

Well, a nice place, the food is tasty, the terrace is a real +. The menu isn't exhaustive, but offers fresh products. However the staff is lil bit too uptight (even tho they are nice), and the clients are much more uptight (kinda snob atmosphere ) Anyways, I spent a nice moment there, and would recommend this place (cuz you can't do much about the clients! :) )

This is a beautiful bistro on a very pretty street of brocantes and small shops. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. My husband had steak and frites, the most flavorful of any in France so far ! I had a white asparagus special that was wonderful. We had baba au rhum for dessert. If you decide on that plan to share. It was very generous. Great place!
