Whenever I want to feel the Paris vibe and enjoy the best crepes in Tampa, I come to this amazing place. It helps me forget all my stress, and honestly, their food has become my ultimate comfort food. Tiramisu is and other love story 🫠🫠🫠 you must try it!

This place is so good. You actually feel like you are eating in France, even the coffee was exceptional. By far the best crepe I’ve ever tasted. The food was fresh and made to order. A gem in the heart of Tampa. Nice service too. Can’t wait to come back here.

Google
Amazing food quality and service. Such a quaint authentic atmosphere. I felt like I was in Paris in Springtime. We originally were going to eat somewhere else but we walked by and I could smell the food coming from the kitchen and how clean the restaurant was. When we walked in, we were warmly greeted and seated promptly. We’ll be coming back every time we visit Tampa!

It’s rare that I would give a place 5 stars but this place deserves it. The staff was warm and welcoming. It appears the staff is indeed French. This place took us immediately back to Paris. From the beautiful cappuccino, to the warm baguette on the sandwich. Wonderful! The beef sandwich with Dijon mustard and warm baguette was delightful. Mixed green salads accompanying all entrees. Although not on the menu in this combination I asked for a banana , strawberry, and chocolate crepe and there was no hesitation. I ate every last crumb. I’m still not a fan of cafes/restaurants that serve sodas in cans, but it’s understandable for how small the place is and the likelihood they don’t sell a lot of soda. My wife and I said over and over we are happy we didn’t opt for the First Watch chain right across the street. If I’m ever back in downtown Tampa I would make a point to hit this place for lunch. Thank you for a great meal and experience!

Google
My partner and I had a wonderful experience here today! I got the Crepe Versailles and he got the Breakfast Crepe. Both crepes were fantastic and so flavorful. Our server was attentive and the food arrived quickly to our table. We couldn’t stop talking about how much we enjoyed the meal and will absolutely be back to try more of the menu.

Very warm atmosphere and delicious food. Really gives you a taste of French cuisine and a feel of Paris in springtime. The owner was very nice and we got a chance to meet the chef. Overall a phenomenal experience. 🤌🏾 Chef’s kiss

Google
Such a charming spot in downtown Tampa! The food was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented, and the atmosphere made it feel like a little Parisian escape. I wanted to try everything as they have so many great options! My avocado/veggie crepe +eggs & couldn’t resist a Nutella crepe were DELICIOUS. Service was warm and attentive, and everything we tried was delicious. Definitely a place I’ll be coming back to again and again!

OMG!!!! If you are in downtown Tampa area you have to stop at Chez Faby 🇫🇷🥖 the taste is out of this world, very fresh, light yet very fulfilling. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A True French Gem in the Heart of Tampa! Chez Faby is an absolute delight! Nestled in vibrant downtown Tampa, this charming French café transports you to Paris with its cozy yet chic atmosphere and authentic cuisine. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm smiles and the irresistible aroma of freshly baked croissants. The menu is a love letter to French breakfast classics. I indulged in the Paris Croissant, which was perfectly flaky, buttery, and paired with fresh, vibrant fruit that elevated the experience. The Croque Madame was a standout—fluffy bread layered with savory ham, creamy béchamel, and a perfectly cooked egg, all washed down with a rich French press coffee that hit all the right notes. Their sweet crepes, especially the Nutella with strawberry and banana, are pure decadence and a must-try for anyone with a sweet tooth. The service was impeccable, with attentive staff who made us feel like regulars, and the owner’s personal touch added a heartfelt charm. The outdoor seating along the sidewalk is perfect for people-watching, especially after a morning stroll along the Tampa Riverwalk. Chez Faby’s commitment to fresh ingredients and authentic French flavors makes it a standout. I’m already looking forward to my next visit to try their burrata salad and almond croissant! If you’re in Tampa and craving a breakfast that’s equal parts elegant and comforting, Chez Faby is the place to go. Highly recommended for a taste of France in Florida!

Yelp
Chez was recommended by a friend and what a quaint French restaurant. They have fresh French bakery. We were warmly greeted and seated. They have a full coffee and espresso selection. I got an Americano it was very good. My choice for breakfast was the eggs, salmon and avocado. The eggs were cooked perfectly. The bread would love to have more. It was so good.

Yelp
Chez Faby-lous! The back patio is so cute and quaint, felt like I was transported to Europe! I enjoyed a vanilla latte and the roast beef sandwich. It was so much better than it looked! The strawberry chocolate crepe was also amazing. The service was just fine, nothing remarkable or to complain about. Overall, a very lovely place to stop for some delicious food!

Yelp
My husband and I went out for a walk around Tampa and instead of heading over to Armature Works area, we decided to check out downtown area. We walked around a few blocks, and then we saw this cute Parisian bistro. We were seated immediately by a very friendly waitress, she immediately brought water and asked if we wanted coffee or anything else to drink. We placed our order and we did not have to wait very long at all. My mushroom quiche came out piping hot- with a crispy top, I love crispy cheese!!, and it was served with a very nice salad on the side. With all of the cheeses and mushrooms blended together- it was very tasty and delicious. I would definitely order this again. My husband ordered the Chicken Panini and was not disappointed either. It was nice and toasted, with a side salad as well. We both enjoyed our lunches, and would definitely go back. It's a very quaint, unique French bistro in the middle of downtown Tampa.

Yelp
We had a group of 4 without a reservation and were able to be seated right away in the back terrace, which was nice and open with natural light. I decided on the avocado crepe which had a nice assortment of veggies and tomatoes - very filling! We shared the strawberry and chocolate crepe for dessert which was delightful. I can't wait to come back and try more - their menu is pretty large with both breakfast and lunch items!
google avatar

Tricia L.

Yelp
Love this cute spot in Tampa. Quite possibly the best crepe I've had (except for those in France). Their sandwiches are also top notch. They only have a small handful of tables inside and out and the service is on point.
google avatar

Yelp
Got to try a few more items at Chez Faby today and was really happy with what we got! I was very impressed by the presentation of the burrata salad that my girlfriend got. My sandwich breakfast was great too, with fries, and a bacon and egg sandwich on a baguette. The cafe was extremely busy and yet the waitresses/kitchen still managed to get us our food in a reasonable amount of time.
google avatar

Trish B.

Yelp
We were looking for a quick and satisfying brunch after having no luck at a nearby restaurant that was over crowded with a long wait time. Chez seated us right away which was a relief. We got croissant breakfast sandwiches and potatoes. The croissants are fresh and taste authentic however the potatoes were lacking flavor. The staff seemed a bit overwhelmed although it was not that busy but they were accommodating when I made a modification to my order. The Ambience needs a little make over outside and inside. I could imagine on a busy day there would not be a ton of seating available since it is small inside so maybe we got lucky. If you want to try an authentic French cafe give this place a try!

Aneily M.

Yelp
Great tasting food, fast service. Try to sit in terrace inside. Great idea for breakfast

Ann Marie G.

Yelp
What a great lunch spot in downtown Tampa! It's quiet and has an extensive menu. We had two different crepes and both were delicious! The service was good too, and we liked that we were not rushed.

Heather W.

Yelp
I love this place! A random find when I was here with a friend who had business meetings. I stumbled onto this place and ended up eating here (delivery once) 3 times! So glad to be back in Tampa so that I can once again enjoy their amazing bread, sandwiches and coffee.
google avatar

Jessie Q.

Yelp
The service was nice and the servers attentive. Although I did ask for hot water and got a glass of room temperature water instead .-. I ordered a Croque Madam... and the last time I had one was in Paris. This definitely made my day as it was a good sandwich made properly. The salad was delicious but the dressing was so sparing I almost thought there were no dressing spare a few sad drops on my leafy greens. I was hoping for the vinaigrette dressing to cut down the heavy cheese in my sandwich! The location was nice and I sat outside watching the people in the streets. It was a nice way to enjoy my morning and made me not want to move. A great place to grab a bite if you like French cafe style food. But maybe next time I'll just ask for a little more dressing... and hope they bring the hot water instead of room temperature one.

Jennifer F.

Yelp
Wow! I am stunned about how well the food (and macchiato) were on my first visit here. The entire menu looks amazing and I wanted to try everything (I actually got a second meal to go for later). The cafe is quaint and welcoming and you feel like you are stepping into a cafe right out of Paris when you talk to the staff (they have very French accents which is beautiful). Absolutely not my last visit here.
google avatar

Yelp
I love the little French cafe vibe this place has and it's a must go to if you like something different for breakfast/lunch. Our server (I think her name was Diana) was also wonderful !

Yelp
Updated review - this place is still awesome. One of our favorite cafes in tampa. Great French cafe that offers a variety of breakfast/lunch items. Although my bf and I stick mainly to the breakfast items. The lunch items look yummy as well! Their coffee is great!! Iced or hot! Croissants are ALWAYS fresh, I get one every visit. Baguettes, French toast, crepes, ALL GREAT. They even have certain limited menu items that change every so often. We come here various times a month and the service is always great, love that we get served and they don't rush us to leave. Great first date spot to just sit and chat as well!!
google avatar

Alison L.

Yelp
So yummy! I want to eat everything on the menu And the baguettes are so perfectly toasted! I ate everything on my plate.
google avatar

Jaimie D.

Yelp
Stopped for a quick coffee before hitting the water this morning. If I'm being honest, it doesn't look like much from the outside but the French inspired cafe is actually adorable. Located in the heart of downtown Tampa. They have the outside setup with bistro tables and chairs, Parisian style. Sweet girl working was happy to help with our to go coffee order. We parked on the street and hopped in and out. We were there early so parking didn't seem to be an issue but I imagine during normal business hours may be hard to find a spot. Breakfast menu looked amazing but didn't have time to indulge. Coffee was a hit. Tip: don't judge a book by its cover
google avatar

Mary L.

Yelp
Fresh warm bread with egg and bacon and French roasted coffee , delicious!! Service was quick and friendly. Clean and nice decor
google avatar

Janel N.

Yelp
This beautiful little French Cafe is located on the corner of Tampa St & Madison st. It gives European vibes with seating outside on both sides of the corner. Fresh made baguettes & croissants! We tried the breakfast sandwich which came on the baguette and the Eleonore Benedict which comes on a croissant. The service was very friendly, they were very welcoming and accommodating with our 3 year old. Highly recommend!
google avatar

K R.

Yelp
Really enjoyed a petite breakfast at Chez Faby. I opted for a croissant with butter & jam, a latte macchiato and a mimosa while my husband and had the croissant Paris and a coffee mocha. Everything was delicious! Service was quick, accommodating and kind. I truly could have been in France. This is a great spot I will visit again when back in Tampa.
google avatar

Kyle B.

Yelp
I really like this establishment. Has a strong French vibe with the decor and staff with hard-core French accents. A little icy reception when we first arriv6e. But it's likely a cultural difference that we can easily overlook. Food was spot on and parking was a breeze. Certainly recommend.
google avatar

Tomaszek C.

Yelp
Yes, five star. I was at the bar and paid some attention to the working of the women behind the counter. It was Sunday before noon. Very busy. The ladies, the place runs excellent on woman power, kept busy and did well. Plenty of mimosa making; lots of coffee types. I had an egg Benedict that came with salmon. Prosciutto was another meet choice. I did enjoy my breakfast. Eggs over easy, not too much hollandaise, on a croissant. Good combination, good balance, not too much. Back to the staff. They really work hard. They work with class, they show positive energy.
google avatar

John H.

Yelp
Superb. Crepes outstanding with prompt service. Loved their coffee. Dine with the Bears.
google avatar

Shannon S.

Yelp
Just wow. The baguette breakfast sandwich is just devine because the baguette is baked in house. It absolutely rivals any French bakery. The croissants are flaky and buttery. The service is top notch. The coffee is strong and delicious. We found this place by accident, but we are going back tomorrow
google avatar

Hatsuho C.

Yelp
Very cute atmosphere and quick service. My crepe was delicious. The croissant cookie was very burnt and small-- definitely not worth the price.
google avatar

Lizzy L.

Yelp
Good breakfast with a french twist. Eggs benedict for breakfast with plain friend home fries were good nothing over the top notable but the almond croissant to go was great quality and quite delicious. Every place in the area is pricy so they were in line with other places. $17 for eggs benedict and a small amount of potatoes. Would reccomend, but lacks atmosphere. Although Great friendly service
google avatar

Jenn L.

Yelp
Super cute French vibe cafe spot! Came here for brunch/work there with a friend. The wifi worked perfectly fine. I ordered green tea which was basically a tea bag and ham, onion, and crepe dish and my friend ordered scrambled egg salmon.
google avatar

Michelle H.

Yelp
Came here for brunch on a Saturday morning. I loved the French flags and theme throughout the restaurant. While the food itself was tasty for the most part there was a few things that were lacking. The service was very slow - especially for a place that wasn't packed. The smoothie was not that good either, although I heard the ice coffee was tasty. For the price, the portions are very small. My croissant was $13 and it was tiny. Overall this place has potential but needs some improvements.

Kelly M.

Yelp
I have never written a Yelp review. I do so today, Sunday, March 2, 2025, because while my teenagers and I ate a delicious French breakfast at the bar, we couldn't help but notice 1. How hard the staff were working to keep up with the demand on such a tiny, cute little place, and 2. How absolutely sh**ty entitled people were acting when they couldn't get what they wanted right away, and particularly 3. The angry man shouting about how he was going to leave a bad review because of his perception of how they were seating guests and that little Violet Beauregard MF wanted to be taken care of first, godammit! This is to him: listen, AH, you're not at a smoothly run corporate restaurant with tons of seating and enough staffing for a host, bussers, or runners. There's maybe 3-4 people cooking and dishwashing in the kitchen and literally one owner/manager and two lovely servers, all of whom appeared to speak English as a second language. They are doing the absolute best they can busting their asses on this beautiful Sunday morning and you had to be a little bitch. Stay home if you can't be polite. Chez Faby, thank you for being wonderful and I'm so sorry you have to deal with people like that. Five stars on food and service!
google avatar

Kevin F.

Yelp
Great spot! We got a Croque Madame and a Quiche Lorraine.. both tasted great and came out quick. Service was great Looking forward to trying more of the menu!
google avatar

Erin M.

Yelp
This breakfast spot was walking distance from our riverfront hotel and was the perfect cafe to pop into on a Friday morning. We ordered a Eleneore Benedict and Eggs Faby with some espresso drinks. We got a table right by the window (outdoor seating also was available) so we had a great vantage point for people watching. The food was tasty and very fresh, the potatoes were crispy and really we didn't have any complaints. Sweet service and a cozy atmosphere. I secretly wanted to go back the next morning too!!
google avatar

Jeff L.

Yelp
My wife and I came to Tampa for a graduation, but needed a good meal after our flight. We chose Chez Faby. I had the French crepe and my wife had a pick your own omelette. The crepe was delicious and so was the omelette and hash browns. We sat outside and enjoyed the sunshine while we ate. The server's were both kind and prompt. Overall a great breakfast/ lunch experience both for food and service! Thank you

Ramit ..

Yelp
Delicious food and great service! Amazing baguette and coffee! Baguette may be the best I've had in the US

Alexis W.

Yelp
This place is a hidden gem. Fresh food, coffee, and great service. Definitely don't miss out on sitting outside on a cool day!
google avatar

Mia P.

Yelp
Really wanted to like it. They need to up their game some. A little breakfast was underwhelming and with coffee and a croissant bacon, egg, and cheese it was about $16. The croissant was sort of over toasted and the egg was just sort of sad. The little coffee creamers were not fresh or needed to be refrigerated better, they left little floating curds in my coffee. Have been to better French cafes.
google avatar

Carlos H.

Yelp
Cute little cafe inspired by France with delicious crepes and a variety of tasty brunch items available. I ordered the avocado toast with egg and salmon and it was good, but I wish the bread was different, maybe sourdough or something to make it more interesting. The portion of salmon and avocado was generous and the egg on top was perfectly cooked too. It was still pretty good! My friends crepe was more delicious. The coffee quality was great though and I loved the little sidewalk cafes that felt a little like Paris even in Tampa. I would be interested in trying their other menu items in the future and would return. A great place to meet a few friends for an outdoor brunch or go on a quick date. There was big party sizes inside so I would prefer the patio I think on most visits. We need more spots like this.
google avatar

christine k.

Yelp
All 4 in my party thoroughly enjoyed our quiet midweek lunch at Chez Faby. The Madam who served us was very friendly and did not chuckle at my pronunciation one bit I am a bit sad for all the times I've been downtown and not known what to eat and haven't realized this gem was right under my nose. Nice quiet atmosphere for talking, sipping on a cappuccino and enjoying some deliciously satisfying food. I will be back and have encouraged friends to stop in also.

Laura D.

Yelp
Chez Faby might not look like anything magnifique from the outside but it definitely is. The service was quick, the ambiance is cute, and the food was delicious!! My daughter loved the crepe and I had the avocado toast with chicken and it was fresh and so tasty. The potatoes were also a dream! Thinking about coming back again for breakfast tomorrow.
google avatar

Ray I.

Yelp
We have walked by Chez Faby on our way to the Samaria Cafe right next door for years - so we decided to give it a try. The stress of a Sunday morning Mother's Day was more than the Chez could handle. When we checked in we were told right away that food was taking 35-40 mins to make it out of the kitchen once you order it. And that was definitely accurate. Of course all this had the servers flustered and our of synch. Literally every table outside at one point were waiting on their checks. The food honestly was good. But. No way we ever visit on a weekend again.
google avatar

Camilla S.

Yelp
Let's start off by saying cute spot, however the experience was not cute. Lobster bisque soup was lumpy(chunks of raw flour). My bacon was cold. Hollandaise underwhelming. Service was terrible. If you like crappy service, mediocre food and being scammed, you'll love it here!
google avatar

Saphir S.

Yelp
I have walked by here a few times and the outdoor seating and Parisian experience had me missing France, so we checked it out for weekend brunch. The food was definitely smaller portions for the price and the quality was just ok. I feel like this place would be great for UT students in the area, but it wasn't somewhere I'll be coming back to.
google avatar

Marina M.

Yelp
Yummy French food, but unfortunately, the fact that the owner chooses to overcharge customers at 8.5% taxes instead of Hillsborough county's rate of 7.5% is upsetting. I have been to this restaurant a few times now and each time their food is fresh and consistently good. They have a few small tables outside right off of N. Tampa street and I love being seated there when it is nice out. Parking is anywhere you can find it (I'd use Park Mobile app instead of parking @ 717 Parking lots - they rip clients off by charging a flat $13-$30 fee per vehicle). Some of my favorite items on Chez Faby's menu are: Lobster Bisque, Avocado Toast with Salmon + Egg and Homemade Breakfast Potatoes. My husband really enjoyed his French Onion soup. Tiramisu, however, was a bit of a let down. Not sure if it was supposed to be frozen, but it was and that made it disappointing. Overall 4 stars only because the food is really tasty. If I were the owner, I would comply with Hillsborough County's tax rate. Even if your customers don't notice and complain, a business is still required to either refund over collected sales tax or turn that amount into the state. In fact, charging sales tax without a sales tax license from a state or charging too much sales tax and pocketing the excess can even lead to criminal charges.
google avatar

Katherine V.

Yelp
Food was so good & drinks too (Cappuccino & Mimosas were delish!)... they could do a lot better on the service though and it will make them 5 stars for sure! I unfortunately had one of their outdoor umbrellas fall on my head because of the wind and because it wasn't properly attached to the wall and they didn't even care and i was in pain, I had to actually tell them look your umbrella fell can you pick it pu pls...so I was a bit appalled by that... other than that food is AMAZING!
google avatar

Allison M.

Yelp
Delicious! What a nice find in downtown Tampa, lots of choices for breakfast / brunch. Small French cafe, nothing fancy but food and service is great. We were both pleased with our orders.

Michael S.

Yelp
Went in for breakfast and sat at the counter. The ladies working there were awesome and the food was delicious.

Kathleen D.

Yelp
Good is tremendous! Enjoyed crepe, quiche, and breakfast of scrambled eggs and potatoes that were cooked perfectly!!! Service was great, very attentive. Highly recommend!
google avatar

Renee M.

Yelp
*UPDATE* We returned. Food was still perfect and our customer service was exceptional. Amazing! I can't wait to return. Our mochas were perfect--not to sweet and smooth. Our Savory crepe was chicken, spinach, and bacon with cream sauce. I'm so glad I took a chance on a small French cafe in Tampa. I've been to Montreal and enjoy French cuisine. The baguette and brie was so tasty. I send a kiss to the Chef! Thank you for being our highlighted meal of Tampa. I will see you again. Prices and portions are reasonable. Actually I think it was unpriced based on the quality of the food. I can't wait to eat there again! Parking is okay. We arrived at 7:30am so the streets were clear. I know how crazy it gets Downtown so I anticipate walking a block or 2 on my next visit.
google avatar

Carrie M.

Yelp
I travel to Tampa often and have wanted to try this place for a long time. I wish I would have, because it is spectacular. I had the quiche Lorraine served with lightly-dressed frisée , plain croissant, and cafe au lait. The portion was immense, and I knowingly ordered the croissant for tomorrow's breakfast. The quiche was light and yet loaded with gruyere cheese- the best I've ever had. Service was perfect and loved the bistro outdoor seating. I will definitely be back.,
google avatar

Brian L.

Yelp
Food offerings are great. The service sucks. Work on that and maybe I'll come back. my wife went there with her mother and sister and their experience was even worse. I'll let her post.
google avatar

Anthony R.

Yelp
We are not from the area, and wanted a well made coffee and breakfast before heading the airport, and Chez Faby exceeded expectations. The best croissant I've had outside of France. The Crepe Paris was delicious. I wish we going to here to come back for another meal.
