We had dinner here on our second evening in Paris. We shared the warm Camembert with honey and walnuts to start which was delicious, we both had the house special Beef Bourgogne also delicious. The food, drinks, wine and entire staff were just a delight. We highly recommend having dinner here and be sure to make a reservation, we did in early August for late September. Bon Appetit Joel

Chez Fernand Christine serves hearty, well-balanced French classics. The French onion soup hits the right mix of onion and cheese, the bone marrow is rich and deeply flavoured, and the escargot marinade is excellent. Their signature beef stew is intensely flavourful and perfect for soaking bread. Portions can be inconsistent—our server noticed only one chunk of meat in our serving and promptly topped it up so it felt complete. For two people, three starters plus one main was plenty. Reservations are advisable. The dining room is very small, with tables close enough to touch elbows, so it’s cosy rather than romantic—probably not ideal for a first date.

Chez Fernand Christine is a true hidden gem in Paris! Over our five-week stay, we dined here three times, and each visit was a delight. The French cuisine is nothing short of perfection—every dish is impeccably prepared and beautifully presented, from the first bite to the last. The wine and drink selection is equally outstanding, complementing the meal flawlessly. What truly sets this intimate restaurant apart is the exceptional service led by the charismatic manager, Sam, and his warm, attentive staff. From the moment you walk in, you’re treated like a cherished regular, enveloped in a lively, welcoming atmosphere. The team’s impeccable service strikes the perfect balance—professional yet playful, making every meal fun and memorable. This cozy local spot offers a culinary experience that lingers long after you leave, leaving you eager to return for just one more bite. For fabulous French cuisine and a spoiled-yet-fun dining experience, Chez Fernand Christine is a must-visit. We can’t wait to come back!

Google
My favorite restaurant of our trip to Paris!!! We learned about Chez Fernand from the Les Frenchies videos. It was their number one pick for the best beef bourguignon. It was absolutely delicious!! We loved everything about this restaurant. The atmosphere was wonderful, our server was amazing, and the food was delicious! Highly recommend!!!

Google
Like the others say, it’s a hidden gem in Paris. Have dinner with family, tried the snails, beef cheek, pork chop and sea bass. All are delicious especially the pork chop, very tender and juicy. Have apple tart and crème brûlée for desserts. Love them both. In short, really enjoy the food, the atmosphere is good ,staff are friendly and helpful. Sure will come back during next visit to Paris.

Google
Highly recommend!! Our very kind Airbnb host recommended Chez Fernand Christine and we are so happy we decided to dine here for our last night in France. Please come to enjoy a delicious meal if you are in the area!

Our recent lunch at this charming traditional French restaurant was nothing short of extraordinary. Nestled in a posh area adjacent to a high-end hotel, the restaurant exudes an old-school charm with its rough stone walls and classic red and white tablecloths, yet manages to feel surprisingly bright and inviting. From the moment we stepped in, we were greeted with warmth and genuine hospitality, particularly from our waiter, Julien. His attentiveness and friendliness were exceptional, making our dining experience all the more delightful. The menu was a celebration of French culinary tradition, and every dish we ordered surpassed our expectations: - **French Soup**: Rich and comforting, the perfect start to our meal. - **Bone Marrow**: Decadent and full of flavor, a true indulgence. - **Escargot**: Cooked to perfection with a delightful garlic butter sauce. - **Traditional French Beef Stew**: Hearty and deeply satisfying, with tender beef and a velvety sauce. - **Duck Leg**: Crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and bursting with flavor. Each bite was a testament to the chef's skill and the restaurant's commitment to quality. The ambiance, service, and food combined to create an unforgettable dining experience that we will cherish and recommend to anyone seeking authentic French cuisine in a delightful setting. We can't wait to return and indulge in this culinary gem once again. Merci beaucoup!

Google
This one of those places you don’t want to tell anyone about to ensure it stays the same, BUT surprsingly enough, this traditional brasserie in the heart of St. Germain managed to keep its local clientèle happy while adapting to tourist that just order a starter with coke light. Sébastien thoroughly impressed me, not flinching once when asked to make the French Onion soup gluten-free or bring ketchup for a side order of fries. Wow! A très bientôt, because they also seated me away from most of the touristes ignorantes…

Yelp
The dinner was nothing remarkable. Very mediocre. The reason for the 2 stars was the markup on the water. First off, tourists please be advised to ask for tap water here (if you'd like the free water) or else you will be charged 8 euros for a bottle of water when the same bottle of Evian water costs 0.89 euros at the market. I thought that wasn't a good impression when I saw the bill with that extreme price hike up & I let my guard down and didn't ask for tap water. Also, keep in mind the prices are pretty high for what they serve. I've been to other bistro's & restaurants in the same category, this is one of the pricier ones. Otherwise , food mediocre.

Yelp
Food: 5/5 Service: 4/5 Ambiance: 4/5 This is my favorite restaurant in Paris so far. 5 stars on their beef bourguignon and steak. Their beef bourguignon was delicious and the soup was thick. Steak was very tender and not chewy at all. I have been here several times but my latest experience was not so great it was on Halloween night and two of their servers weren't there. Wait time for the food was long. The whole restaurant was chaotic. People who come later got their food before the people that were there before. Other than that food was still delicious. Highly recommended. Make a reservation or get there before they open because it will fill up very quick. I would say within 15 to 20 minutes.

Yelp
Excellent spot in Paris for traditional French dishes. The restaurant is tucked down an alleyway and is quite small inside, creating a cozy dining experience. Given the size of the restaurant, it's definitely best to make a reservation in advance, especially if you have a larger group. We were about 20 minutes late for our reservation but they were still able to seat us thankfully. We started with the escargot (comes with 6) which were fantastic and the foie gras, served with some caramelized onions and a few slices of a sweet brioche bread which are both French staples. For the main course, my companions got the beef bourguignon which came with several large pieces of beef and a few smaller pieces of potatoes and carrots in a rich sauce. If two people both order the dish, they combine the portions into a single cocette and plate the dishes for each person. This could be a good option for a date and saw several couples doing so in the restaurant. We had a nice bottle of red wine with our meal and had a great experience overall.

Yelp
We experienced a delightful evening dining at Chez Fernand, it's hard for me to even decide what part of our experience was my favorite. What an exemplary French restaurant! Our server was amazing and incredibly attentive/patient with us. My boyfriend and I were starving, and this was our first day in Paris! We ordered the French onion soup and bone marrow as our appetizers. My boyfriend got the beef bourguignon and I got the Black Angus hanger beef steak with fries, and we finished the night off with some delicious caramel rice pudding. The French onion soup was our first, but I'll never forget the incredibly rich roux-like soup texture and the Emmental cheese that the chef paired with it. Every bite was sweet, savory, salty, fatty, and slightly different in texture due to the marinated onion and chewy cheese. The bone marrow with sea salt and bread was quite yummy, I've never had it before but it was less heavy than buttered bread and had a fun gelatinous mouthfeel. The beef bourguignon my boyfriend had was to his liking, he liked the marinated red wine flavor but it was not for me. The hanger beef steak with fries was incredible, the fries were so good and perfectly crispy and salted. The rice pudding was so simple but executed perfectly- what a beautiful plating, and what an even tastier dish! So sweet, the nuts on top added a fun crunch to each bite. So creamy and chewy, I was in heaven. Anything richer and I probably would've rejected it (just kidding- I'd eat anything from this spot). Such a perfect beginning to our vacation, I'm happy we spent it here.

Yelp
Of the two chez Fernand ( Rue Guisarde and Rue Christine), this is the one I preferred. They have the same ambiance and nearly the same menu but the bistro atmosphere and the beef bourguignon was more delectable here. We started with snails which were good but the star was the beef. Perfectly cooked, fork tender and served with little potatoes. The deserts( tarte tatin) and crème brûlée were equally delicious. We will come back !

Yelp
I enjoyed my dinner and experience here. I made reservations but we had to wait maybe 15 more minutes to be sat, so luckily the host brought us some wine while we waited outside. The service was very kind and helpful. The space is small so I imagine they get busy and it's always a better idea to make reservations. We ordered the French onion soup and bone marrow for an appetizer and then had the beef bourguinon and roasted chicken. I enjoyed the bone marrow a lot. I really loved my chicken and thought it was a good serving.

Yelp
Such a lovely restaurant tuck in the alleyway, we arrived a little before the restaurant opens, because we didn't have a reservation. The line gets long. They open puncture. The space inside is very tight, you need to move tables to get out of the seat. We were not hungry so was hoping to just get two appetizers. But was told that we can't do that, have to each order at least a main. So we ended up order four appetizers to get away with the minimum spending. The food are all very delicious, my favorite of the night is the razor clam, so fresh and flavorful not too overpower by the sauce. The scallops cooked perfectly.

Yelp
Classic French restaurant very close to our hotel. Had so many good reviews so decided to come by last night. We made a reservation and was happy that we did since it was very busy and since it's not very large. We were seated promptly as soon as we got there and got a cute corner table. We got a couple of glasses of red wine, recommended by our server and it was delicious. We decided we wanted to try three starters. - escargot, wow it was delicious 10/10, could of ate more - onion soup, best I have ever tasted 10/10 - foie gras mushroom raviolis, wow I have no words. 10/10 Why we got main course we have no idea! Since we were pretty full by now. But for main we got the beef bourguignon, thick and really good rich flavor, and the veal kidneys, the husband said it was really tasty! Overall if you're in the area and want some delicious French food this is your place!

Yelp
Checked this place out upon a recommendation from a friend and was not disappointed. I made a reservation, thankfully, as this place was packed on a Friday night. Dress code is chic casual, the vibe is lively, and there were both American and French people dining here. The menu is available in English and our water spoke English as well. The staff here is friendly and gave us great recommendations for dinner. Onto the food we had: - French onion soup: This was sooo good. Fresh, hot and flavorful. - Escargot: Yumm! - Roasted duck breast: Cooked perfectly and I loved the sauce it came with and the carrots purée was excellent! - Beef bourguignon: The beef was a tad overcooked for me but was still overall a tasty dish. - Crème brulée: Delicious and not too sweet. Overall, I had a great meal and definitely recommend this place if you're in the area!

Yelp
FANTASTIC French classics. The best I've had to date in Paris. They are famous for the beef bourguignon and it did not disappoint! The stew is a lot darker (because of the wine) compared to the others I've had. Love how they don't skimp on the ingredients. The beef is extremely tender and soaks in all the flavors. Ordered the lamb shank for our other main and it was also delightful! Super tender, falls off the bone and this stew was more tomato based. It also came with semoule and it was so good with the lamb stew. Portions were big and we left very full. We wanted to try dessert but guess we'll have to come back again. Busy restaurant with tight seating, filled with locals. A little loud for talking.

Yelp
Reservations are highly recommended. It's a small place and when we ate there on a Thursday night, it was quickly full. Speaking of small places, it is just like many Paris restaurants, there is not much space between you and your neighbor. However, despite the close quarters, it does not detract from the food or ambiance. Of course, if you find this closeness too much, then you may be uncomfortable in this resto. BONUS- the restroom is in the ground floor. You don't have to go downstairs like with so many other restaurants. Now, on to the food! The staff speak English and they do have an English menu. The specials on the board are written in French. We ordered to share: Bone marrow Onion soup Arugula salad Beef Bourguignon Everything was delicious and I would order these again. Surprisingly, for me, my favorite was the arugula salad. Enjoy!

Yelp
This is your traditional French Bistro cuisine with France's classic dishes - such as escargot with parsley and garlic butter! Soupe a L'Onion and their mushrooms sauce crème. To me the mushrooms were slightly too creamy and I would have like to have a stronger taste of much sons. But everything is cooked a la minute and fresh. Their Beef Bourguignon was delicious and the Beef was also cooked to perfection. The service was impeccable very diligent and pleasant. The ambiance is relaxed and very busy so reservation is highly advisable.

Yelp
A perfect bistro. Welcoming service but never hovering. Old school ambiance. Classic French bistro dishes -- and an excellent "the best burger I have ever had in the world " as stated from my 60 year old American wife! Perfection!

Yelp
We had many amazing meals in Paris, including 2 Michelin star restaurants but this meal was our absolutely favorite. At the last minute, I asked our concierge if they thought we might get a reservation and he said this was his favorite restaurant and he was very skeptical about the likelihood of a reservation. He called and got one, but when we arrived there was none. They were so kind and polite, they got us a table after a 15 minute wait and it was absolutely tremendous. We sat next to a friendly, English speaking pair who shared their wine tasting with us! The building is quite old and the tables are very close together with red and white checked table cloths. The wine list was a huge volume! Absolutely a must dine when you are in Paris!

Yelp
We saved this place for our last night in Paris as it was my go to for Boeuf Bourguignon. Chez Fernand Christine is located in St Germain, the interior space can be cramped as it is packed with tourists. The quality of the food or the service however does not suffer from their popularity. I started with the Bone Marrow which was buttery, creamy goodness that I spread on my baguette and devoured. Washed it down with a bottle of Cote de Rhône. For my main the star of the night, the Boeuf Bourguignon. It was delivered to my table in a small Le Cruset Dutch Oven and then spooned on to my plate. I wish I could do justice to the flavor in words, but just say it was the richest most tender beef I have ever tasted, the wine sauce slow cooked for almost a day so concentrated with flavor. The potatoes and carrots were cooked just right, not mushy. This is a meal I took my time eating, I savored it. Having a good Red wine with this is a must. I am taking a star off only because the tourist vibe made it loud and at times obnoxious.

Yelp
They have an amazing beef bourguinion! We made a reservation and they told us it would be a 15 minute wait but they made up for it by giving us a free glass of champagne while we waited. I wish more restaurants did that. It was such great service! Plus I loved the interior.

Ron P.

Yelp
Beef bourgunione and onion soup were delicious! We showed up with no reservation but they were able to make room for us. Great atmosphere, lots of laughter, wonderful experience!

P H.

Yelp
Amazing food and neighborhood gem! Just an enjoyable restaurant with great food. Can't wait to visit again!

Fortitudetude ..

Yelp
Good food. A bit crowded seating. Fair service. Woody traditionally aged exterior. Reservation made ahead Snail- good. The pesto sauce covers the arguably unpleasant taste profile of the snail. Duck - my companion praised as done really well and best dish out of the three. Kept the duck taste without feeling gamey and chewiness without feeling tough. Mushroom and potatoes were equally cooked well with an intentionally charred/lightly burnt exterior. Cod- can't go wrong but not much of a character. Fish is cooked well (slight crunch to exterior and moist interior) but the taste of peppers overpowers the entire dish. Beef - soft, cooked well; strong wine aftertaste.

Yelp
I loved this place so much we returned the very next day for lunch, and were welcomed back warmly! Onion soup was amazing, and the legendary beef bourguignon was oustanding. It's a very cosy space, with tables close to each other. Very friendly, great service, lots of americans, absolutely worthwhile!
google avatar

Ryan N.

Yelp
We stopped by for lunch ordered razor clams which were amazing. My wife ordered blood sausage which were good a bit salty. I got their signature beef bougonion it was good but wife think it's a bit bitter from the wine sauce. After all who am I to argue she is a master chef with impeccable pallet. Overall service was great we enjoyed the razor clams the most. I like it all.

Yelp
Near our hotel, this was a cozy local meal. Service was fantastic and our server seemed touched by the tip. Food was excellent. I enjoyed it so much that I forgot to take pictures.
google avatar

Rachelle R.

Yelp
The food was so delicious the beef bourguignon is the star dish. Dark, roasty, thick sauce, wines were ok. But a true bistro in Paris Just make sure not to act too American, it's still a proper European old spot that people talk considerably low as to not bother others, everyone expects etiquette and manners. Also don't ask for an English menu please. I made that mistake lol
google avatar

Alissa R.

Yelp
The staff were incredibly friendly and kind. I did not have a reservation and they were kind enough to promptly provide me with a table. The drinks and food were excellent. The escargot had just the right amount of parsley and the raviole with foie gras sauce might have been the most divine experience I had in Paris. Thank you!

Phil R.

Yelp
Food is exceptionally good with a good choice of items for all. I highly recommend the beef Bourgogne as it was authentic and delicious. Very friendly staff... Julian was our server and made our experience fun.
google avatar

Francisco C.

Yelp
While they are kjown for the beef Bourginon and steak frites, the sweetbread blew my mind. It's on a busy restaurant street with tons of shopping around
google avatar

Cathy G.

Yelp
Our dinner was delightful in a beautifully historic building with stone walls and dark wood beams. The host was very accommodating and we felt welcome. The Baba au Rhum was memorable--and potent. A bottle of infused rum was left at the table to supplement an already generously doused sponge cake. The house specialty of beouf bourguingnon was also very good.
google avatar

Jennifer G.

Yelp
Don't be dissuaded by all the fellow American diners, Chez Fernand is amazingly delicious and very welcoming. The atmosphere is distinctly French with warm and helpful servers. I have had many meals in Paris, Chez Fernand is a new favorite.

Jay R.

Yelp
I was shocked: the table next to us asked our server if a tip/service charge is included on their bill. (It is!) The server replied, "No." They then added 20 Euro to their payment. The server accepted it, said nothing more and walked away. In France, tipping is not expected though if you get exceptional service you might leave a Euro or two., I do not recommend Chez Fernand.
google avatar

Ivan B.

Yelp
My wife and I were on the hunt to find some good bone marrow in Paris and stumbled upon Chez Fernand while doing our searching. This place looks like it's in a building that's been there for ages with all the wood beams and stone. It's definitely tight and cozy. Instead of ordering an appetizer and main course each we decided to try a few apps and share a main dish and we asked if they could bring it out altogether so we could try everything at once. We ordered the bone marrow, escargot, razor clams, and then the boeuf bourguignon. Every single dish was excellent. The bone marrow was large, well seasoned with salt and came with slices of some rustic bread. It was simple meat butter perfection. The razor clams were beautifully presented in a sort of tower, cooked to perfection and topped with tomatoes, onions and an herb infused oil. The escargot was exactly how good escargot should be prepared with lots of herbs and butter. Lastly the boeuf bourguignon was so tender, rich and flavorful. It's the kind of stew where you need a nap afterwards. I definitely recommend sharing it because it is a lot of richness and flavor for one person. The service here was also very good. Everyone was very polite and helpful. They even helped us put our jackets on before we left. If you want some traditional French food done exquisitely well, I think you need to check this place out.

Yelp
Loved Chez Fernand! We are so glad to have found this place at 10pm and were open to seating us! Despite our table was unconventional as the restaurant was so crowded! We managed to make way in a table meant for 2 but we were 3 persons. We ordered all starter dishes and were all so impressed! This spot Is off the blvd sant germain and on a side street, so it was a little bit off the beaten path. We ordered - mushroom raviolis - foie gras (pate) - escargots - razor clams (Couteaux) All of the dishes were delicately prepared and so delicious! And to top it all off, the service was excellent! Highly recommend!
google avatar

Evan D.

Yelp
Fantastic food. Definitely not an underground gem nor a locals place as my bilingual wife was the only person speaking French other than the wait staff until a French couple showed up as we were leaving. The ambiance is very cozy and very 'French,' almost in a kitschy manner. The food was amazing -- the mushroom ravioli in foie gras sauce decadent, the bone marrow perfectly unctuous, the duck breast exceptionally well cooked and the famous beef bourguignon outstanding. The chocolate fondant for dessert was a bit one note but by that point we were stuffed from all the previous fare. Definitely would be back and it is an amazing choice for a place that 1) is delicious and 2) is geared towards English speaking customers.

Yelp
Small...intimate....friendly from start to finish...historic...authentic French experience but friendly and fluent in English , And the food was extraordinary. Snails....baked camabert cheese...loads of fresh bread...excellent wine... Beef Burgundy with an extra pot of stew. Baked cod over leek. Risotto with prawn. Thank you Laurieanne for a night to remember.

Jeanette C.

Yelp
Went without a reservation... they were booked, but when the Maitre'De' saw how disappointed I was, he went out of his way to find a table for us. And the perfect table it was. So quaint and cozy very small inside so be sure to make the reservations in advance. And the food I can't say enough about it. The best French food I've had. French onion soup to die for, the beef bourgonion so thick and rich ...lovely.! Don't miss out on the beef marrow bone... The best I've ever had! I won't even tell you about dessert... I will leave that surprise for you. But you will not be disappointed, a special little hideaway in France that you must visit...!!! so thankful we were able to find his hidden gem

Sherly C.

Yelp
I was recommended to this restaurant by a friend and let me tell you. All four of us enjoyed every bite of our Boeuf Bourguignon and our delicious wine choice. I will definitely come back again. Compliment to the chef and great customer service staff.

Yelp
Terrible customer service! VERY MEDIOCRE FOOD! Staff VERY RUDE acts like doing you a favor to be there. There are MANY very good restaurants in local area that are much better food and service . Go else where !

Yelp
The food was very good and the server was attentive but we were charged 8 Euros for tap water!

Yelp
Great food! I will visit this restaurant whenever I'm in Paris. Great people too! Enjoyed the first visit so much we went back for another visit.

Hera Q.

Yelp
Excellent!! The best boeuf bourguignon ever! I first went there in 2019 and my whole boeuf bourguignon experience has been ruined ever since because everywhere I've tried it in NYC, I kept comparing it to this place. (The closest I got to this was Bistro Vendôme) Anyway, went again to Paris last week and it was just as amazing as I remembered it. Make sure you make a reservation a few days in advance if you plan to dine there before 9pm.

Yelp
One of our sought after meals in Paris. This place was highly recommended for its beef bourguignon and we booked in advance so be sure you do; it's tiny! Loved the part of the city it's located. We had the early meal time and everyone waits outside until they check you in. The decor is classic Parisian and the staff spoke English and was super friendly. Ordered the escargot as apps with a nice bottle of burgundy. Fore warned the wine list is like an encyclopedia Britannica but navigable but they have some crazy good selections. Of course we both got the beef bourguignon for our main and they served in a larger pot together but was more than enough. Was fall apart delish but felt it was a bit under salted if I had to pick any critique. We chose an apple tart desert which I think was a miss order by us as they had better deserts but was decent. Was a little pricey but all and all our top second meal in Paris! Highly recommend!

Yelp

Yelp
Made a reservation here after it was recommended to me by a friend and really enjoyed our dinner! We started off with the escargot, which was not my favorite I've had, but it was still delicious and fresh. We also got the onion soup, which was absolutely amazing and a must in my opinion. I had the beef bourguignon, which is one of my favorite dishes ever. It's a house specialty here and you definitely can tell why once you take a bite. in my opinion it's a must order when you come here. My companion got the hanger steak with potatoes and enjoyed his meal as well. we were to full for dessert, but the neighboring tables that ordered it seemed to really enjoy it. Service was wonderful and the wait staff spoke English with us when we need it and was very kind. Highly recommend!

Kassidy K.

Yelp
Our hotel recommended this restaurant and we loved it! We had the escargot and beef bourguignon which was amazing. Great dinner location for local French cuisine.

Yelp
What an amazing lunch we had at Chez Fernand! We did not initially have the restaurant on our radar, but my wife found it when browsing dining establishments with tasty-looking Beef Bourguignon - one of many French dishes we hoped to enjoy during our Paris stay. We first ordered a pig trotter dish which was served over green beans. Sure, "pig trotters" stand out when I describe that dish, and I am happy to have tried them, but I have never tasted green beans so delicious. Every bit was heavenly. The beef bourguignon was next, and it met our high expectations. The flavors were immense in every bite - a perfect balance of tender beef, golden potatoes, and pearled onions. Not a drop of the gravy was left behind! These dishes were perfect for the two of us to share, especially with a couple of craft brews. I cannot recall our waiter's name, but he was from Louisiana and spoke fluent French - kudos to him for the warm and welcoming service. Our delightful experience at Chez Fernand will be forever-memorable.

Yelp
I read a fantastic review of this place from one of my favorite chefs in Paris and I had high expectations but I was a bit disappointed. The signature dish is the beef burgundy and it was watery and uneventful. It was just a beef stew for me. I also ordered the baked camembert with honey and that too was..well..I think they forgot the honey. I did have a mouthful.of my husband's ravioli in fois gras sauce. Wow. That was the star of the meal. I wish I ordered it myself. The mini ravioli were stuffed with cepe mushrooms and the fois gras creme sauce was outstanding. The wine selection is more than you can imagine. Desserts looked wonderful but we passed on them.

Yelp
Not too large of a place. Super cute inside & out. The place was packed the Wednesday night we were there - yet the service, food, ambiance were all 5 stars! How's that possible?! Everything clicks there. The food was ridiculously delicious. The beef bourguignon was a 10!!! The shrimp risotto was a 10!!! The escargots were a 10!!! The wine selection was perfect and paired beautifully with the food! All of it was perfect. Add it to your stops if you love food and want flavors tempting every part of your mouth!!!

Yelp
Manager and Chef were inviting and engaging. Staff could not get it together, could not see kitchen and then when food arrived we understood why. Sea bass was not great, vegetables tasted like canned not fresh at all. Tables were stacked too close together could not get in and out to get to the toilet. White wine was room temp ruined the flavor for the wine. Could have iced down the carafe / pot? Could not get the check to save our life 30min of being ignored by staff running around doing nothing but smoke breaks?

Yelp
This is one of the best restaurants I've ever dined at. The food was AMAZING. I've been thinking about it since I returned from Paris a month ago. You have to come here at least once. Onion soup: Show-stopping. She is the main character. Absolutely amazing and I loved how much cheese they loaded on top. It was seriously so good that I dream about her. Bone Marrow: Was honestly not that amazing. I wished it was more salted or had some kind of sauce. It was basically just straight bone marrow paired with bread, and it wasn't seasoned enough to my liking. Beef Bourguignon: GET THIS. My god. Chez Fernand is known for this dish for a reason, and it was absolutely divine. The beef was so tender, and the sauce was so rich and flavorful. So many layers of flavors. I'm salivating as I think about it. Dessert: Chocolate lava cake (I forgot what it was called on the menu) was pretty good. It wasn't anything incredibly amazing but definitely a nice way to end dinner. Service: Honestly, pretty meh. They didn't bring another bottle of water when we ran out (Not sure if we were limited to one bottle) and they didn't check on us during dinner. Kind of sucked but the food made it sooo worth it.

Yelp
This fantastic place came recommended from our hotel concierge, a spot on suggestion. It's an informal but intimate environment, with checkered tablecloths and bare stone walls. The food was absolutely fantastic--carpaccio, smoked salmon, onion soup as starters all shone. For mains we had roasted chicken, scallops, and the best beef burgundy I've ever had: it is a must order. Desserts were fabulous (Tarte Tatin) and the wine list blew us away. Service was outstanding and fun. Sam ran an excellent room, made all feel festive and welcome. Definitely recommend!
