Food is 10 out of 10! If you want to try lamb-go before 1pm. Beef tagine was also the best I have tried in Marrakesh. They have lovely rooftop terrace where you can see olive stalls. However if you are coming in mid day-probably better idea to sit one floor down where is not as hot. Definitely must try place when visiting Marrakesh.

One of reviewers said everything about this place is great except it is not instagram-able :) I beg to differ on the last point. It is a magnificent authentic very tasty example of local street cuisine though having those underground ovens bake whole lambs for hours does not necessarily qualify as fast food. You do not have to wait this long though :) We recommend lamb - with skin and fat and chicken cooked in the clay pot. And olives - to diversify the flavor. Eat this on the roof floor to fully appreciate the scenery around - in the company of guides who brought their tourist charges over and locals. Loved every minute of it both times we were there. Take a picture of the ovens too - makes for a great story to share.

Lovely place, lots of locals, with a casual vibe. The lamb is truly excellent, probably the best food we’ve had in Morocco (we’ve tried a variety of places from higher end recommendations to off the beaten track). The lamb was sold out by 15:30, so come early for lunch! Get the lamb, tender, juicy and falling off the bone. Eat with your hands, get messy and then wash them in the sink by the stairs. The lamb took a while to come, be patient. It’s because of how popular it is and they had a back order - locals getting it to takeaway. It’s a must try place.

Honestly read some reviews and still went giving it the benefit of the doubt and a recommendation from a guide. And the tangia was tasty, but it was pretty small and not that meaty. For 200 dr, it felt like a rip off when you've been eating so well for decent prices elsewhere. Beyond the mechoui and the tangia, the rest is well priced. The place was fine otherwise, and the flavours were good.

If you’re in the old Medina of Marrakech, Hajj Lamine is a must-try for méchoui lovers. The lamb was cooked to perfection – tender, juicy, and packed with flavor. I went with my friends and we enjoyed every single bite. The sheep head meat was also absolutely delicious, one of the best I’ve ever had. The only small remark is that the service was a bit slow, and we had to wait before being served. But once the food arrived, it was totally worth it. This place has quickly become one of my favorite spots in Marrakech, and I’ll definitely be coming back. Highly recommended for an authentic and unforgettable culinary experience.

The food is great service could be better but they are so busy it’s understandable. The mix of morrocans and tourists shows it’s a classic staple. Simple Ingredients the lamb is so tasty with the flavoured salt on the side to dip. Love the salad and the bread great for lunch. Very busy place we went upstairs worth it for the culture to visit.

Go there for the food, it’s phenomenal. It’s so busy that everything else I forgettable. But, understand why you are going in the first place - THE FOOD! Unfortunately, the lamb sells out by 3pm (although lamb continued to come out) - maybe thy ordered and it takes a while(?). If the lamb is sold out, you grab yourself some tanjia 🔥🔥. It’s pretty pricey for Marrakech, however - it worth very penny. Eat with your hands so be sure you wash first and enjoy to the last drop.
