We had lunch here with 3 young teenagers, they all said it was one of the most delicious meals that they had eaten and it absolutely was, pudding was great too. The waitress was also fantastic. We booked ahead after looking at reviews. Definitely a favourite of our holiday.

Great place! If you like charcuterie and cheese, this is the place! Informal and homely. Friendly staff. Good service! Go with an appetite! My favourite was the little parmentier de canard. Delicious!

Had dinner there and service was a bit rude and slow. Told waiter we wanted to share one of the charcuterie plates as we were not very hungry and he insisted that each plate is for one person making us order two plates. The plates were enormous and we struggled to finish. One plate would have been plenty as we only wanted something to pick at. We didn’t appreciate having the extra meal pushed on us. The salad was ok - nothing special. The cured meat was very nice though. People next to us really enjoyed their meal - they had the special with melted cheese and truffle. They even bought a few of the tins of duck and mushrooms - apparently that is made only for the restaurant.

We had a fantastic meal in this quaint restaurant in Sarlat-la-Canéda. Seemed to be a real “locals” place. Service was excellent and led to a relaxing, enjoyable meal. Raclette was so delicious. In a town full of great, out-of-the-way bistros and restaurants, Chez Le Gaullist stands out. Recommended.

In the town but slightly towards the edge of town. This is a lovely little restaurant, the menu is fairly small and basically a deli, the meals are mainly a selection of meat, potato and cheese. The price is reasonable, the service is brisk and everyone is freindly and cheerful, so a fantastic place to eat and relax. You are packed in so it is a little crowded but this adds to the atmosphere. Well worth a visit. Even just to watch the meat being cut up....

A beautiful little restaurant right in the heart of Sarlat, everything was just perfect the waitress was so helpful from wine to food and we went with her recommendations we ordered one cold Charcuterie Board and one Hot accompanied by a beautiful bottle of red wine 🍷

Nice restaurant if you are into 'chiffonade' of meats and cheeses as well as raclette. Very friendly staff. Definitely worth a visit! I would recommend a reservation although I believe they only take one for 7 PM (first service), if you want to eat later you'll have to wait until a table free's up.
