Fantastic experience! Unfortunately we only stayed for one night, but we wish we could have stayed longer. Estelle had wonderful recommendations and made us two dinner reservations. Arnaud made a wonderful breakfast with many options of fruits and cheese and bread and pastries, and he was incredibly helpful and friendly. Would highly recommend!

This is my fourth stay in Beaune and fourth visit to this hotel. I have always loved this place. I write a new review now because it is under new ownership now. It used to be run by the Fatien family. Now Estelle has bought it and the name is both “Chez les Fatien” but also “Clos de saint-marguerite”||I was nervous because I thought maybe the hotel would change in a bad way, from its small hotel charm. But do not worry. It is as charming and her upgrades are only making it better. They now have 5 rooms, and all rooms have AC (which it did not have before!). Given the rising temperatures everywhere, having AC is good especially in some of the higher rooms. The lines are beautiful, the Nuxe items in each room are lovely French treat to your skin, and the breakfast remains outstanding. Estelle and her staff are wonderful. If you need too much attention, then this is not the place for you. It isn’t a hotel where there is someone there every second. As it has just 5 rooms, they are there for check in and check out, and breakfast, of course. But you have privacy most of the time which I really appreciate. The gorgeous courtyard has lovely bistro tables and we had bread and cheese there with wine, many evenings. ||They treat you like family. There is a honor bar in the dining room so you can take wine that you like and just write your name down so it will be on your bill when you leave. We got soaked in the rain one day biking and our clothes and shoes were absolutely dripping. They offered to throw our stuff in the dryer. That would not happen in big hotels! Also they helped us get our luggage to the train which was so kind. ||Beaune is my happy place, and in large part it is due to this sweet, romantic hotel. Estelle will continue to make it spectacular with her touch!

Also known as Le Clos Sainte Marguerite, it's an incredible bed and breakfast in old-town Beaune. The space is exquisite and our room was absolutely charming. A wonderful blend of historic authenticity with beautiful finishes. Quiet and romantic, the hosts Estelle and Arnaud are excellent. The breakfast is spectacular, and the affiliated restaurant, Caves Madeline, is quintessential Burgundy.

I almost hate to write a review of this magnificent Bed and Breakfast because we want to keep it a secret, but it was so wonderful I had to share. My husband and I spent two days in Burgundy at the end of March and this beautiful property was one of the highlights. We were the only guests that night at the four room BnB and our host, Arnaud, made us feel like we owned the place. Our duplex room was magnificent, complete with heated floors throughout and beautiful Nuxe products in the enormous bathroom. He kindly offered to drive us to one of our wine tastings to avoid an expensive taxi. And oh my goodness the breakfast was extraordinary. We look forward to many more visits to Beaune with Chez Les Fatien as our home base!

Going to make this very clear if you come to Beaune stay at this hotel. Simple enough?||Your arrival is very unassuming as the façade and aging grey front door don’t prepare you for what is inside. Once the door opens you are greeted by your helpful and enthusiastic host Arnaud and your eyes transported to the 1890s Parisian courtyard. Arnaud even helped me carry in 10 boxes of wine. ||My wife and I stayed on the ground floor, which is the best apartment. The room is well air-conditioned has the most comfortable bed and sheets. The bathroom is larger than my first NY apartment and features two sinks, a vintage bathtub and a large shower. The room is also a door with furniture artistic touches. ||Every morning Arnaud prepares a delicious breakfast of local French pastries, meats and cheeses. Fresh OJ and coffee is also made by his hands. ||The hotel is located on the quiet street and parking is available in a secure lot around. WIFI is free and reasonably fast.

This is one of loveliest places my wife and I have ever stayed. The rooms are very special - we stayed in two over two stays - and the service provided by Estelle and Arnaud was exemplory. ||My wife and I were there to learn more about Burgundy wines and they set us up with a number of wonderful wine experiences, including a day tour with an expert on the regions wines.||All in all the perfect location from which to enjoy great food and wine|

Just four rooms or suites around a private courtyard through a door in a wall. We had the ground floor suite with quickly bathroom inc bath and plenty of space in the room. Delightful breakfast. Lovely quality bedlinen and towels. Excellent breakfast. Was met at the hotel by Arnaud who was most helpful.

This was a perfect two night stay in a quirky but elegant small hotel. The room, number 1, was huge and all on one floor. The bed was comfortable and the setting was classic. Shower had very good pressure. The breakfast was beyond expectations and Estelle and her staff aim to please. It was in walking distance to sights in the town and several brasseries. Estelle herself picked us up at the train station because we arrived late in the evening. It is safe, secure, and very quiet. She suggested a wonderful wine shop in town and the proprietor was very helpful and informative. We truly hope we can make it back to Beaune and this very special small hotel. Well done, Estelle.
