A cute little French coffee shop in midtown east. They offer a nice selection of pastries, sandwiches, and drinks. Friendly staff.

Hey… buy the person next to you a treat! Michelle is lovely… this is best croissant in New York ..: needs to be a tad lighter and more fluffy… but then I just flew in from Paris!

Amazing pastry selection (probably the most authentic in NY). I highly recommend the pistachio eclairs. Staff are very friendly.

Truly delightful little cafe that is like a slice of Paris in New York. The food is really fresh and wonderful, in particular a highlight are their crepes both sweet and savory. They also have a large selection of French sweets and treats. There are lots of outdoor seating as well. The only thing is to beware is that their kitchen is small so the food can be slow, but it is worth waiting for.

Edit: Went back to get the pink latte, this time around it was made by Michele. The pink latte was amazing! Michele was also extremely nice and welcoming. I will definitely be coming back to try some other things on the menu! Original: I had the pink latte and it was watery. I’ve had better lattes from a gas station. The coffee eclair was really good.

Their food is beyond my expectation! I got their chocolate croissant and the coffee cake. The croissant was sooooo flaky, soft and chewy! Coffee cake was also wonderful. After finishing all of them, I went inside again to take away their plain croissant and a baguette sandwich. Rose latter was also smooth and well-balanced! Anyway, everything I got was awesome. What a hidden gem for me💕

The pastries and really doughy, heavy, and greasy. The cappuccino was good, but the pastries were incredibly dissapointing. The atmosphere is not comfortable.

Love this tiny little French cafe! It's nestled between York and the water, and right next to the French school on the UES. I ordered the croque forestiere with a side salad - the sandwich was huge and delicious!! Super cheesy with a nice crisp on the outside. There is limited seating (tiny table for two, a few seats at the bar, 2 benches outside) but most people seem to take their coffee and food to go. The staff are very nice and efficient.

It's a very good asset to the neighborhood to have this at the corner and look like a French little corner cafe. They carry French candies and some French packaged food. They also have Marriage Tea from France. Best of all I like their chocolates from Cuizel of Paris and French pastry assortment. Of course they have coffee since it is a cafe. They also carry French ham sandwiches in baguette, egg sandwich, tuna and chicken sandwiches. They also carry chocolate croissant from France which you can bake fresh from the oven.

Hubby picked up some macarons (my fave!) for me one day after work and surprised me with the treats. I loved them all. They were fresh and delicate, crispy on the outside and soft tasty fillings inside. The packaging is cute and the colors they use are vibrant. The only that makes me sad is that hubby no longer works in that area...

The place is tiny and full of french goodies (cookies , teas, jams, sweets). A delicious buttery smell comes from the little kitchen where they bake croissants, quiches and cakes. Niece place for a quick meal (although service is really slow) if the weather is good (only few tables outside)

Had such a good experience here this morning. The staff member that served me was super friendly and the coffee is delicious. Will definitely be back to try some of the treats next time.

Chez les Frenchies came up yesterday on Yelp when I was searching for something that I can't even recall. This morning I decided to go for coffee and then go to Chez les Frenchies to eat my brunch. First sight I saw walking up was plenty of outdoor seating. It's a good thing because there's no seating inside. What they do have inside is lots of French foods and delicious prepared sandwiches and pastries. It's a store inside a cafe. It's a beautiful space full of inspiring sayings and happy decor. The employees are super nice. They were genuinely happy that I enjoyed my meal. Before I ordered I looked over everything and decided I was in the mood for a Ham and Cheese Croissant. The prices are very reasonable. In no time my meal was heated with delicious ham and melted cheese. I sat outside and really enjoyed the meal. The sandwiches are huge. My brunch was $5.99. This is definitely Five Stars worthy. I'll be back......

This is a super cute coffee shop! We used to go to Le Moulin but then we heard about this cute, out of the way shop and had to give it a try! We have had multiple cappuccinos, Oranginas (hard to find), apple turnovers, and other treats and have not been disappointed. We have and will come back!

I stopped by for a breakfast sandwich at this cute little French bistro. Only one table inside and an outdoor patio area. They are an authentic French place offering a few groceries and macaroons. I had the Smoked Salmon Croissant $12 and it was so delicious it melted in my mouth. During the summer they are only open Monday to Friday 8-3.

Came here for breakfast on a Sat. It was a lovely spot with outdoor seating and very few people, so we had the space to ourselves. Tried their ham and cheese baguette sandwich, and their bacon egg and cheese croissant sandwich. Both were decent. The baguette was a bit hard, but otherwise I liked it. For the croissant sandwich, it wasn't overly cheesy or salty, which I appreciated.

The BEST two human beings, with the best coffee, food and snacks. This place tick marks all the reasons why you should be supporting this small business. These two ladies work all week long at this cafe and then still have time to shelter, adopt, foster animals that are left behind at kill shelters. Ordered several items to carry out to share with a group: - Frenchies Oeufs: the perfect breakfast sandwich. Can never go wrong with spicy Mayo and avocado! - Campfire latte: tasted slightly watered down - Bacon, egg, and cheese on Croissant: fluffy pastry perfection - Glow toast: almond butter is a nice touch - creme de marrons crepe: would have been lovely eaten hot! - Oeufs Champignon: full of flavor, perfect if you like mushrooms - Spinach croissant: delicious Highly recommend pre-ordering online for pickup. It was very busy on a Saturday morning. Will definitely come back to try more!

The old lady barista was really disgusting! When I was in the line, she was while making the other customer's coffee, she was eating bread with butter and licking her fingers. But she never washed her hands.

Cute little shop that sells French pastries and croissants. Got a box of 6 macarons for $15, great price. The filling was flavorful, not too sweet and had a good chew. The shells were a little flakey but no big deal. Would come back again for another macaron crave.

Was surprised to find they had a policy during brunch hours where you had to order off the brunch menu- not just coffee and pastries- but our server was nice enough about it. We were told about how this was an important policy to follow as it was so busy, but there were definitely empty tables and no line for the hour we were there. The spinach and artichoke quiche was creamy and savory, but for one slice the price was a little steep. The basket of mini pastries was a much better deal- a good selection including a Madeline, pain au chocolat, mini raisin swirls, and croissants. The cappuccino was pretty standard fare. Good service and a well-lit quirky interior where you can also get groceries.

It's cute, it's cozy, and it has outdoor seating It's perfectly intimate and has a small selection of baked goods and sandwiches, but less is more! Everything I got was *chefs kisses*. I had the croissant, rose and lychee macaron, and a madeleine. The madeleine was my favorite by far, how do they get it so thick and buttery? I think my favorite thing about this cafe is that they have little French chocolates and candies that you couldn't get elsewhere!

Cafe with quirky decor specializing in French fare and groceries. Got here early last Sunday and made good use of the bench to wait. Croissants and coffees were decent.

I have been going to Frenchies on 2nd Ave and 50th St since they opened. Everything is excellent and the staff are friendly. I recommend the quiche with salad and of course all of the desserts.

This place is such a gem! How have I not known that this place was literally across the street from me this whole time? The crepes are delicious and so are the macarons. This will definitely be my go to staple for a quick bite or solid cup of joe.

Wow, this place is a real hidden gem. I just ordered their "survival pack" and a tomato mozz sandwich. The survival pack can be ordered frozen so now I have pastries I can bake for breakfast this week. The package was so thoughtful, including parchment paper and fancy butter/jam. The tomato mozz sandwich was SO FRESH. The prices are slightly higher than ordering these things at a deli but 10000% worth it for the product. This will be a new weekly order for me

THIS CAFE IS NOT SAFE FOR BLACK PEOPLE. I went to Frenchies on 1st ave and 50th street for a coffee. I walked in and the service was extremely slow, so I sat down. Within 3 minutes Oksauna approached me to take my order - I told her "one second, I'll order after I send an email". She continued to harass me for the next 5 minutes, telling me she was going to call the police if I did not make a purchase, and without being prompted states "and I'm not racist by the way, my boyfriend has dark skin". When the police arrived, they thankfully did not make me leave, but that experience with Oksauna traumatized me. Please do not support this business.

Have been ordering the frozen pastries mostly croissants (plain, chocolate, leek) several baguettes really really delicious. Leave the pastries in the fridge over night and pop into the oven in the morning 20-30 minutes the rooms all smell happy! Service is also professional and warm. Merci beaucoup.

Chez Les Frenchies is my absolute favorite cafe in the city and I'm lucky to have it in my neighborhood. I have never ever had a bad order; everything is fresh and so delicious! I highly recommend the Smoked Salmon Sandwich, Brie Apple Figs Sandwich, Spinach and Feta Croissant, and the Lava Cake. I recently "discovered" their Lava Cake. If you're a chocoholic like me, it is a definite must!!! And if that wasn't enough, they have amazing service. So, if you're craving a little taste of Paris or Europe, definitely check out Chez Les Frenchies. It's the hidden gem of Yorkville.

Today I ordered an overpriced croissant. I had it to go, but there were all open seats and wanted to get myself organized, so I sat down. A woman with no mask, came in my face and told me I had to leave. I am also in the service industry and I do understand table service; however, this is pay at the counter and leave, this isn't Chez Francois with 6 courses. My problem is she was rude, there were zero people there and I am one person. I won't be recommending or going back. In this climate we should all be nice to one another, especially when you buy a $15.00 croissant sandwich. Get it together owners, train your staff! Microagressions are a thing. Gross.

I misjudged the late night character of the Upper East Side so I went to bed starving. Luckily this place was half a block from my Airbnb this morning. Very authentic French sidewalk cafe feeling. The food all looked exquisite and tasted great. The latte was served a little hot, but in five minutes it won't be a problem

Found this french bakery store in the neighborhood on my coffee break. Came in with an external coffee cup as that was where I was initially going. Decided to stop by to buy some food/snacks at chez les frenchies. After ordering a few items and waiting for the ham cheese croissant to get heated up I received a comment by the staff (owner?) - "you cant come here with outside coffee, we sell coffee to you know". Lesson learned, I will just not come back ever again. Im sure there are better ways to communicate the "no outside food/drink" rule. Also I was the ONLY one in the store. I understand if I was freeloading off the heater and taking up other customers space, but in this case I ordered, i was waiting for food, and there was no one else in the store. To bad because the food was good!

My favorite spot in NYC. Everything from the coffee to the crepes are incredible. They also have a fantastic selection of shelf items for sale like biscuits and jarred petite onions. Every time I go , I want to buy everything. The smell of the chocolate croissants will pull you in. The quiche is my favorite, the kids love the baguettes and my husband loves the salads. Something for everyone. An outdoor cafe experience that will have you dreaming of Paris!

This a cute neighborhood spot with a great spread of grocery items in addition to the cafe food. I enjoyed a savory croissant here, though there is a French bakery a bit further north that I prefer. I also tried a strawberry cheesecake dessert here and did not like it. The texture was rather spongy and dry and was rather flavorless.

The cutest little hole in the wall with fresh and delicious French pastries that take me right back to Paris. There's a few small well-spaced tables outside to sit if you don't want to wait to eat your goodies. They only allow a couple people in the store at a time, the staff is always wearing masks, and they have a hand sanitizer station right at the entrance.

I'm so glad this place is open! I got the chicken and mushroom galette - satisfying, not dry, perfectly savory with bechemel and earthy mushrooms and the Nutella crepe for dessert. It is a small space for takeout but has a big heart providing for the community. Staff is prompt and wear masks and gloves. The space is clean. I'm definitely coming back when Im craving crepes or a medium sized lunch.

Adorable French bakery. Best almond chocolate croissant I've ever had. So far have had the quiche, and a crepe (chicken and mushroom) both of which were delicious. Really good coffee. Adorable shop with lots of great French gifts. Will definitely be a staple of mine on the UES

This little french spot feels like it was picked up from Paris and dropped down on E 75th street! I had a wonderfully buttery and warmed ham and cheese croissant with a perfect iced coffee. It was a great experience and I will certainly return for more, especially to try their crepes which looked delicious! 10/10 experience.

This café does seem like Paris, small and all looks enticing. The leek tart was delicious. Will have to try more items.

Really tasty stuff and very authentic - really enjoyed going here. The outdoor space is also quaint. They sell french grocery too which is pretty great. Recommend this place to other fake food people sell in the name of being french - high quality stuff!

I have died and gone to heaven. Between the cheeky decorations and the wonderfully nostalgic memorabilia and pantry items, this place immediately transports you to France. I placed a large order for pickup for my office, not realizing that this was basically a 2 person operation, and they exceeded my expectations. The order was ready on time and the food was prepared beautifully. Their croissants are INSANE. Run, do not walk!!!

Moved across the street from this great little place 5 months ago and would be in there every day if I could afford to money and weight-wise;) Michelle and Oksana are making the best quiche, croissants, sandwiches and desserts that I've ever had. You will swoon when you walk in the door and smell fresh baked goods coming out of the oven! They also has imported chocolates, cookies and other things for sale. Definitely recommend and make the trip if you're not in the neighborhood.

We bought two pastries - chocolate twist and the leek and cheese croissant - and they were so good! Too bad it was so early in the morning because their desserts looked so good! This is my new go to spot for baked goods!!

Love the cafe and love the ladies who run/own it! It has a great cafe menu and also French market products. They always save the day when looking for a quick lunch or snack in the neighborhood, and they are always warm and welcoming! Great and authentic crepes as well!

This is an Amazing place! One need to come and try their spinach croissant. They bake their food fresh and I have never found better tasting french cafe in New York City.
