Food is decent and price are very reasonable. Service can be slow if a lot of people arrive at the same time since it’s a one waitress place. We didn’t have this issue because we arrived earlier. The dessert was lovely as well. Bad point is that the chair are uncomfortable and tables aren’t great either. They should update the furniture. We tried another restaurant in the area and Marylin one was better.

We had chicken / shrimp curry and spilled bowl for dinner! The food was really amazing and reasonable price. One of the best meal in Mauritius. Staff is very nice!

Our taxi driver recommended this place to us as a good local restaurant with a reasonable price. It’s a small family run place . A bit strange for a first timer since no one will come to get the order until it was our queue… The food was good, not exceptionally good but good. We stayed in Mahèbourg for 4 nights and we ate there 3 evening. 😄 The crispy fried fish as a starter was really amazing. I also like the punch.

Small and authentic restaurant with a variety of dishes. The Banane flambé was really great. As there are only a staff of two, you might be waiting for a bit, but this is compensated by their nice welcoming and service. Will come again!

Our host recommended this small restaurant, which has about 10 tables and a team of about three preople. Service can be a bit slow when it gets busy, but it’s definitely worth the wait.

Cozy local restaurant highly recommended. The food is good and the staff is friendly, very accommodating. Nicely decorated. Book in advance though, there are only a few tables and the restaurant closes early (around 9.30pm).

Sweet servers and chefs that greet you with a genuine smile. Wonderful Mauritian home dinners for a very good price. Some of the better food we’ve had on the island.

Ok, but was expecting a much better experience. Considering the reviews, our expectations were quite high for our last dinner in Mauritius , so we chose Chez Marilyn. However, we did not find the food to be that incredible as many other people report: there was no fresh fish, so we were served a fillet that was flavourless . The octopus salmi was good, but in small portions . Also, as the restaurant was getting busier, there was quite a lot of smoke from the kitchen which was quite unpleasant . Still a place that would recommend everyone to go if you're in Mahebourg for a day or two as food is local and inexpensive .
