Chez Pitu Praia Hotel

If you are looking for a beach hotel right by an incredible beach, this one is a good pick. Long beach, great waves for beginner and intermediate surfers, nice drinks at very acceptable prices. So why is this not a 5 star rating? For starters, the hotel is nice as a beach hotel but lacks the infrastructure for a luxury location. Rooms are clean, functional but basic. Some. Rooms don't have proper windows to the beach. This would not be a problem we're htis reflected correctly in the hotel price. As it stands, the hotel is too expensive but this fact can easily be drowned with views over a perfect beach and excellent crafted caipirinhas. Breakfast is acceptable in quality and variety, however throughout our stay we did not feel that the staff was very engaging, particularly friendly or welcoming. Al of these impressions don't take away the beauty of its location and with an adjusted hotel rate and a few more smiles this would be a 5-er for sure.

This hotel is centrally located on the beach and has some of the best views possible! It's simply hard to describe how beautiful this area is, especially the sunsets. The staff was very friendly even with my extremely broken Portuguese, and were very kind to my family members who only spoke English. I was fortunate enough to meet the owner and his lovely wife and talk about the area and some of our shared experiences. The cocktails were some of the best I had during my trip to Brazil utilizing super fresh fruit to its fullest potential. I would highly recommend this Hotel to anyone looking to visit Buzios!

Terrible. I booked two nights and when I saw the breakfast table, it was an immediate early check out for me. Straight to the front desk to cancel my second night. There were so many flies landing on the bread it was unbelievable. The warm breakfast was old scrambled eggs and chopped hot dogs in tomato sauce. I paid approximately R$1.200 per night so that was honestly unacceptable. They also don’t have duvets at all, only blankets which is also weird for the price point. Room was small, great view. Staff was nice enough but nothing would’ve made me stay, not even the proximity to the beach or the view.

We were lucky enough to stay 6 fantastic nights here in a Super Luxury room. Despite the room being rather small, the double shuttered doors opening onto a beachfront balcony sure made up for it. The views were amazing. There was nothing opulent about the room, however it was bright, clean and comfortable with a view to die for. The food and drinks menu has something for everyone and was extremely well priced. We often enjoyed breakfast and lunch around the pool and the best part was that you could get your food and drinks delivered to your beach umbrella in front of the hotel. Geriba beach is one of Buzios best tourist beaches, filled with tables for beachside eating and drinking, extremely polite vendors selling their wares and people enjoying the sunshine. We used Uber to get in and out of the main Buzios town centre which was about R$9. There was only one staff member who could speak english so that definitely made it tough checking in but once you had wifi, you could use google translator lol. If we ever did go back to Brazil (which we would love to do) we wouldn’t stay anywhere else. Location, service and price was just perfect! We love love loved every minute. Probably best for couples due to room sizing you would probably need adjoining rooms for a family. Beach is also a little rough for small children but the resort pool is perfect for kids.

I had a wonderful stay. The service and breakfast were excellent. The hotel is beautiful and well-organized. The staff were very friendly.

I love this pousada! Would it be a 5 star hotel in the US, no. But for Buzios, I am giving it 5 stars because it is so cute and cozy. It is right on the beach in Geribá and the pool overlooks the waves and has a swim up bar. ||||The rooms are pretty modern, though nothing luxury. I stayed in one of their 'side ocean view' rooms and it was nice. You get a partial street view but you do see the ocean. There is also a little sauna near the pool that was nice. ||||The staff is very nice and helpful and they offer free breakfast and also free 'tea time' with cakes and coffee and little snacks. ||||Perfect place for someone who wants to wake up in the morning, go for a run on Geribá beach, go for a surf, then relax in the pool and have some drinks.

The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful ! The room beautiful especially with the seaview. Own beach with the bar which includes all the possible and needed drinks also really nice food. Breakfast the best I had in any of Brazilian hotels I have been. Variations of fruits, fresh pressed juices, dark, wholegrain bread what is rather rare in Brazil. The pool directly connected to the beach. There is nothing left like to highly recommend this beautiful place. Thank you !

Went there for New Years with my Family. We booked a room in the first floor of the hotel overlooking Geriba Beach (these type of rooms at super luxury). The views from the room balcony are just amazing. The room is OK size, simply decorated but with lots of charm. The hotel itself is very charming and everyone is very professional and friendly. Breakfast is very nice with fresh squeezed juice everyday. You have the possibility to also have a light lunch at the hotel in the terrace. Drinks are good and the atmosphere in general is very nice. The hotel included beach chairs right in front of the beach. The beach is large and gorgeous. Not too far from many major attractions. It has a small parking inside the hotel.||All in all, a fantastic hotel, with good atmosphere, right on the Geriba Beach which it is very difficult to find in Buzios. I would recommend this hotel in a heart beat. ||Thank you Chez Pitu for a perfect stay.||JLT
