Great place for authentic Vietnamese food. Amazing hosts and reasonable prices can definitely recommend 😊 (get the caramelised pork you won’t regret it!)

My family enjoyed a lovely lunch here. Excellent Vietnamese food with a good selection of both spicy and mild dishes. The owners were incredibly welcoming and kind.

Excellent host and great food, we arrived in Luchon after a very long bike ride, literally starving and were saved by her hospitality and great food. She prepared vegetarian dishes just for us, came up with new suggestions what to cook for us based on what was left in the kitchen and every dish was a delight. I can't recommend this little gem enough, it may to look like much, but it certainly was worth every penny and more. 100% recommended!

Really kind and warm host. Service as good as their food. We came here after a long, long ride through the Pyrenees and they waited for us even though it was almost time to close. Highlights of the day the good product and and the good vibes. We will come back! Thank you!

Eating at chez Thao with my partner is already a tradition whenever we come back to Luchon. The landlady's home cooked recipes are gorgeous. She is tres sympa and a good host. Always a gentle and kind experience

First of all, we are really disappointed by your RACIST response to my partner's comment. 2) You are giving false information to the people. We requested your son to close the toilet door if it's open, because of the really bad smell. We even thought of leaving the shop. We never told your son or anyone that the food was good. Last year we came to your restaurant and the food was good, which made us come back to you again this time. 3) We explore different cuisines from all over the world. We eat Vietnamese food almost every day of the week in Paris. So it's not the first time we are trying Vietnamese food with Bamboo. We realised that the smell was from the food and it was definitely not an appealing one. The taste was really not good either. In India we never eat something with this smell or taste. More specifically, I am from south India, my state name is Kerala. Our food or place never smells this bad. Never expected such a RACIST comment. You even took our plate to the kitchen to verify the smell. None of you had an honest reason or explanation about the food even when we left the shop disappointed. We hope you will find a solution for it.

Simply really good. We have stayed in Luchon for 10 days and have eaten in 7 different restaurants. For us this is the best with a simple menu, great staff and fantastic food. This is our last day and this was our parting meal. Fantastic. Stu, Liz and Noah
