Chhappan Bhog - Pure Vegetarian Indian Restaurant & Sweet Shop

One of the best restaurant in abu dhabi that serves authentic indian food. So far number one in my list. The Dosa and chutney’s were yumm, and the punjabi thali and veg platter as well. Will try more dishes next time. The food was fresh and satisfying. We did eat a lot, and surprisingly no gastric issue or reflux, uncommon for me because I always get it after getting loaded with indian food. The staff is really friendly and accommodating, Yaman was the waiter for us and he is a really great at his service. Must try restaurant!!!!

The chaats at this establishment were truly delightful, especially the dhai puri and sev puri which were simply divine. The Punjabi thali offered a generous and flavorful array of dishes, showcasing the richness of the cuisine. Furthermore, the gobi manchuria was a delicious fusion of flavors, perfectly blending Indian and Chinese influences. Overall, the diverse menu and the quality of the food made it a memorable dining experience.

Absolutely disgusting experience. We ordered fresh ras malai and found a hair in it — completely unacceptable and unhygienic. This is basic food safety, and clearly the kitchen has no standards. It’s revolting, and I lost my appetite immediately. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. If this is how they handle desserts, I don’t even want to imagine the rest. Do better — or shut it down.

The price is increasing for less tasty food. We visited on Monday and ordered Punjabi thali and Chana bhatura. And the taste and experience was not upto the mark. We have visited before. But this time... they have created lots of space for improvement.

Despite its steep price of 3.50 Dirham, it lacked the freshness we anticipated. Nevertheless, Chapan Bhog offers an affordable dining experience, making it a friendly option for those on a budget. The ambiance is inviting, and the staff is attentive and accommodating. Parking is readily available, eliminating any inconvenience. In conclusion, Chapan Bhog is a must-visit for anyone seeking authentic Indian vegetarian cuisine in Abu Dhabi. Despite the minor hiccup with the Karak Tea, the overall dining experience is exceptional, leaving us eager to return for another flavorful journey.
