The Hotel itself has a wonderful location. I chose it for the location and the atmosphere. I was there for a week. The furniture and amenities are a bit tired. No electrical plugs unless you unplug a lamp or some such. The superior rooms are very noisy especially at night. It required my soundproof earplugs so I could sleep. It seems there is mostly an older italian clientele, which is great in my opinion. The breakfast staff is warm and helpful. As a woman travelling alone I felt very safe in the neighborhood. However, had I went missing I doubt anyone would have noticed. Not exactly what I expected in a small family type Hotel.

Rooms were nice cleaned every day to s good standard. Very relaxing and inviting hotel. Would have given 5 stars but let down by old and tired looking fruit in the bowl at breakfast. Location is brilliant close to all the good touristy places Would recommend

We had a fantastic stay at Chiaja Hotel de Charme in August. All staff were welcoming and very helpful. The room was clean and traditional. Continental breakfast was varied and very good. Location of the hotel was perfect - less than a minutes walk to Pizzeria Brandi and so close to many brilliant shops, restaurants and landmarks. We would stay here again!

On a street with no car access so we had to carry our own luggage. There were no porters. Several very old stone steps to navigate with luggage but there is a small elevator. Our room had USB ports but none worked, neither did the air-conditioning. After an overnight flight then a connection, we were all unpacked before we realized. We had to change rooms and the staff were very unhelpful. The breakfast wasn't bad but they had a sad looking bowl of fruit with bananas old enough to be used in banana bread. It's located up an alley and at 8 pm the huge alley doors are closed and there is a very small door in the big door. They didn't tell us about it so when we came back from dinner, we couldn't get in. Luckily, someone soon came out so we were able to duck through it. I would certainly never go back

This hotel is the opposite of a corporate set of boxes. It is inside an old Neapolitan courtyard but once through the doors, everything works perfectly. Nothing is too much trouble for the ever helpful and friendly staff, breakfast is reasonable, rooms are spotless and there is a sense that the whole hotel is geared to the visitor. Our room looked onto the internal courtyard but this meant it was quiet at night. The bathroom was large and the bed was comfortable. The hotel is just off one of the main “pedestrian streets” (means all vehicles can use it as normal!) and close to a metro station and the port. We would definitely stay here again if in Naples.

Clean, comfortable rooms, friendly and helpful staff. But the best thing about this hotel is the amazing location. Just 5 minutes walk from the Palazzo Royale, 10 minutes to the sea front and right on the edge of Chiaia, the smartest part of Naples (in our brief experience).||Recommended!

A very central hotel in the old quarter of Naples, about a 20-minute walk from the port (hydrofoil terminal) and about a 45-minute walk from the train station||It's in an old palace - you go through massive gates from the street, which are locked at night - it's on the first floor - there are stairs or a wonky small lift if you have luggage||There are a variety of rooms - our was a reasonable size but only had a window facing onto an enclosed well, which made it rather dark - that and the fact that we suffered from mosquitoes at night led to our rating of 4 stars||There was a modern bathroom, and the shower worked well||We had a very simple, typical Italian breakfast, of cereal, fruits, bread, cheese, meat and various Italian sweet items in a very small breakfast room||So we would probably stay there again, but in an upgraded room

Was told a different price on he spot than on the phone & booking Didn't manage to sleep due to constant loud noise on the hall with pranks being played on the hotel room door. There was no surveillance and no actions on the matter. Highly recommend to avoid

Yelp
Italy has become the Mexico of Europe, through a succession of socialist governments, and Naples is its Juarez. If you must come through Naples, perhaps because your trip to Southern Italy required landing at Capadochino Airport in Naples, the least you can do is avoid the Hotel Chiaja de Charme. It is anything but charming. It is located on the second floor of a deteriorating building in a deteriorating part of a deteriorating city. There is almost no signage to indicate you have arrived. But once you are unlucky enough to find it you have the choice of either using an elevator the exact size of a phone booth, or using 500 year old granite stairs that suck the energy out of your legs with each step. The "Hotel" has no bellmen so you have to figure out how to drag your bags up the stairs yourself, or how to ferry them up, one at a time, in the incredibly tiny sh*tb*x of an elevator. The rooms are small, the bathrooms are sketchy and the plumbing does not work well. Enjoy your stay.
