Best place to stay in Chiang Mai In 40 years of staying in hotels all over he world, this is up near the top of nicest places I have had the pleasure of staying at. Yes it is very comfortable, with amazing facilities, views, delicious breakfast, and great M lounge… but what sets this place apart is the people who work here. They are all just amazing. From the get go, Kaew (Duty Manager ), was just fantastic in making my partners birthday celebrations truly special. Thank you so much Kaew. All the other staff we encountered were also just great. So friendly and professional. That goes for all the staff in the restaurant, Gym, M lounge, reception, cleaners, concierges. Thanks all for a superb experience. This is a great base to explore an amazing place. 100 % recommended.

We stayed here for three nights while visiting Chiang Mai. The location is good as it's close to the night markets and the old town. The rooms are very nice and well appointed. The bed is comfortable and get room is spacious. The bathroom is big and had storage which is important. The AC worked well which is important in Thailand. The buffet breakfast is huge filled with loads of options. They have a happy hour everyday from 8 pm to 10 pm such is a great deal. We had some delicious glasses of wine. Overall it was a great experience!

I had a wonderful stay at the Marriott in Chiang Mai! From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel genuinely welcome. The service was warm, professional, and attentive without ever feeling over the top. My room was spotless, comfortable, and had beautiful views of the city — the perfect place to relax after full days out and about. The location is fantastic. It’s right near the Night Market, which made it so easy to explore in the evenings, try different street foods, and shop for local crafts. I was also in town for a yoga retreat, and the hotel was a peaceful, comfortable base to return to after long, grounding sessions. The gym and pool area were great for keeping up with my routine as well. One unexpected highlight was how close the hotel is to the Muay Thai boxing ring. I was able to walk over and catch a match one evening, which was such an exciting cultural experience and something I’ll always remember. Breakfast each morning was excellent, with a wide variety of options — both Western and Thai dishes — and everything was fresh and delicious. Overall, the Marriott Chiang Mai struck the perfect balance between comfort, convenience, and authentic local experience. I would absolutely stay here again on my next trip to Chiang Mai!

Well, it was our first trip to Chiang Mai, so I can't compare to other hotels. We spent 9 nights and had a wonderful time, came back with beautiful memories. Staffs were perfect, breakfast buffet has all kinds of foods that help you to start a good day. We had too many benefits as Bonvoy silver member. 1-Check-in and out at the same time was just perfect as our arrival and departure were after midnight. 2-Round trip for airport pick-up 3-happy hour snacks & drinks 4-30% off for massage & foods And a lot more. Pool was kinda cold but managed to have fun with kids. The location is perfect. At night, you just go out and there are markets everywhere where you can eat and enjoy! When the location is perfect, you have the best view of the City in the room. Can't get bored watching. Overall, was perfect! Thank you to all Marriott staffs!

My husband, our 1 year old baby, and I stayed here for a week as M-Club guests. Overall, Chiang Mai Marriott is a lovely hotel with a great location and beautiful ambience. However, I did feel that the level of care and attention from staffs were slightly less compared to our recent stay at Mae Ping InterContinental, where we were also Club guests, before switching to Marriott. The hotel is nice, though cleanliness did not fully meet the usual Marriott standard, possibly due to the high season during Christmas and New Year period. As a family traveling with a young child, we also felt that the hotel could be more kid-friendly. At times, baby utensils were not available at the M-Club, and the hotel did not provide a baby toiletries kit, which would have been helpful for families with infants. In addition, the baby cot provided was a metal cot, which felt less suitable and potentially unsafe for an active baby; a foldable or fabric-style cot might be a more comfortable and safer option. That said, we truly loved the food at the M-Club and the Level 1 restaurant, everything was delicious. We also enjoyed hopping between all the bars at the hotel; each had a wonderful atmosphere, and all staffs were friendly and welcoming. Special appreciation goes to Khun Nim and Khun KT from the M-Club for their excellent service, as well as Khun Cartoon for the lovely treats — they were truly the stars of our stay. We would definitely return to Chiang Mai Marriott and look forward to enjoying another holiday here in the future 😊✨

We stayed here for 3 nights of our honeymoon and it was a highlight of the trip. The staff did an amazing job from the moment we arrived. Our room was decorated with folded towel animals, flower petals, and balloons which made the already very comfortable and spacious room even more welcoming. The M lounge is very much worthwhile here. When I went during happy hour they had a great spread with Thai classics like khao soi and larb, as well as things such as matcha cheesecake and pork sliders. The breakfast buffet in the main dining area was great too. They had just about everything you could want from eggs Benedict to filled cronuts and Chinese dim sum. We love the food in Chiang Mai but it was hard to stop ourselves from just filling up at the hotel. The location was convenient for getting to old Chiang Mai, about a 30 minute walk but we usually paid ~100 baht for one of the tuk tuks that wait just outside the hotel. The concierge called us a taxi one of the days to drive us up to Wat Phra That Doi Suthep and the nearby waterfall. Our driver was friendly and gave us plenty of time to enjoy each stop. This trip was one of the most enjoyable stays we've had at any hotel, and we're very appreciative of the staff that worked to make our honeymoon so memorable.

This is an excellent hotel and we loved our stay - Our standard room wasn’t that big, but it was very clean, made good use of space, and had a great shower (strong pressure). We had M-Club access and it was fun spot to have an evening cocktail. The breakfast buffet is the lobby was fantastic. Hotel staff was extremely attentive and friendly. Pool area was beautiful and a wonderful place to relax or work midafternoon - Don’t sleep on the Wang Bar either (kinda hidden over by the convention center area) - That was one of our favorite parts of our stay - The staff over there is most excellent. We loved our stay and hope to come back one day 💯💯💯

This hotel is conveniently located right in the center of everything. You are next to the Night Bazaar and a bunch of other night markets, restaurants, shops, and more. Employees are very friendly and helpful. Common areas are clean and are absolutely beautiful. The rooms are spacious and very clean. I had a gorgeous view of the city. The beds are so comfortable and the shower and bathtub are wonderful. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet which was complimentary with my Marriott status. Definitely a great bonus. Great restaurant options within the hotel and a couple that I wish I had a chance to try. Will definitely be staying here again. Now for my standard comments. Location is very clean and well-kept. Easy access to the night markets and city life.
