This was an excellent stay. The hotel felt brand new or very recently renovated - everything was modern, with the latest room amenities and electronics. The M Lounge was great, and the staff across the whole hotel were all extremely attentive. The property is huge, with a very good gym, a great swimming pool area, a spa, multiple restaurants, and a coffee shop. Also in a perfect location - very easy to walk to the centre of Chiang Mai’s Old Quarter. A top-tier Marriott experience.

One of the best hotel experiences we had in Thailand. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful at every turn—genuinely anticipating our needs and going out of their way to make things seamless. I’m usually defiantly independent when I travel, but they made the support feel so effortless that I found myself actually relaxing and just letting them take care of things. I appreciated that more than I expected. The location is great—about a 10-minute walk to the Old City, with the night market setting up right outside the hotel each evening. Plenty of restaurants in the area, plus good dining options inside the hotel. The breakfast buffet was excellent, with something for everyone: pastries, western staples, Thai dishes—the kids were happy, and so were we. Rooms were a little dated, but we had requested adjoining rooms, and the staff let us know they would have upgraded us otherwise. Honestly, the service more than made up for it. Highly recommend if you want a comfortable stay with standout hospitality and a walkable location.

Stayed here for 2 nights and was very happy. The service is impressive, the room is clean, the bed is comfirtable & the breakfast is superb. The facilities are what we are looking for. The location is walking distance to Ta Pai gate and night market is right in front of the hotel. I can not fault anything in this hotel and will recommend anyone to stay in this beautiful hotel if you can afford.

Excellent services provided by the hotel, especially Front Office staff, all of them are extremely friendly and helpful. the only downside is there were ants on the table of my room but the hotel housekeeping staff cleaned them right away after I reported it. The hotel's location is excellent -- restaurants, massage parlours and retail/souvenir shops are all very close by. The swimming pool is beautiful and the gym is well maintained and equipped. I will book this hotel again on my future trips to Chiang Mai.

I had a fantastic experience at Marriott Chiang Mai! From the moment I arrived, the staff were warm, professional, and attentive to every detail. The rooms were modern, clean, and incredibly comfortable, with stunning views of the city and mountains. The location was perfect, close to the Old City and Night Bazaar, yet peaceful enough for a relaxing stay. What truly stood out was the hospitality. The team went above and beyond to make our stay special, offering helpful travel tips and arranging local experiences. The front desk travel support staff was incredible explaining places of visit, means of transport and recommendations to maximise the travel experience. Boyce was our go to person for every single thing . We are totally satisfied with the service above and beyond, truly worthwhile!! I would highly recommend Marriott Chiang Mai to anyone visiting this beautiful city!

Disappointed with the experience. Long queues at checkout, unacceptable for a hotel of this standard. Lift wait times were also excessive, especially during peak hours. Poor crowd management overall. Expected much better from Marriott. Would not return.

During this trip to Chiang Mai, I stayed at four hotels, and this one stood out as the best value-for-money option despite being the most affordable. I stayed for three nights and thoroughly enjoyed their Chinese and Thai cuisine—both were exceptionally delicious. The welcome gift upon check-in was also wonderful. Overall, the hotel offers incredible value.

I highly recommend the Chiang Mai Marriot. My room was very clean and nicely appointed, as was the rest of the hotel. The breakfast buffet was terrific, with a range of food choices. And the hotel staff was super friendly. To top it off, the location is excellent. Old Town is a 15 minute walk away or just a few minutes by tuk tuk. At night you can literally step out of the hotel and into the gigantic Chiang Mai night market, with its vast offering of street food and vendors. I will definitely book the Marriot again on my next visit to Chiang Mai.
