Chiang Mai Thai House

This hotel was extremely well kept and offered great value for money. The room was perfectly fine for the price I paid - clean, comfortable, and exactly what I needed. The staff were extremely friendly and went out of their way to help me get my laundry done, which I really appreciated. Service was warm and genuine throughout my stay. The location is excellent, just near Tha Phae Gate, making it easy to walk to markets, cafés, and explore the old city. The bed was very comfortable, and I slept well each night. I’d definitely recommend Chiang Mai Thai House and would happily stay here again.

(Warning below) Nice people, nice location real close to favourite part of old-town. Modest, small but clean pool area that I enjoyed despite limited sun that vanishes by 3:00pm. Rooms are modest, dated but well-priced with good ac and warm showers. Warning: Careful on the stairs!! They’re uneven. I rolled my ankle and certain I wasn’t the first. Also check for mattress pads. Ours didn’t have one first night resulting in a terrible sleep. Mattresses are modest as well.

Absolutely wonderful find and would recommend for anyone looking for quiet and clean accomodation. The staff was incredibly kind and helpful. We weren't sure how many days we wanted to stay in one place, but we ended up extending across multiple nights. Every time we approached the staff to ask about availability, they were enthusiastic to our requests and worked hard to help work around our schedules. They actually upgraded our room the last two nights because our original room style was booked up -- and they kept to the same price. In an environment where they very easily could have upcharged us, their generosity and understanding was beyond appreciated. Outside of the helpfulness of the staff, the property is well maintained. The rooms are clean and provide your basic amenities. The biggest selling point was definitely the pool, and we spent a few afternoons just trying to beat the heat there. The beds are harder than I'm used to in the states, but I'm beginning to realize this is the norm -- clearly didn't stop me from sleeping. Lastly, highly recommend the location for anyone hoping to explore the old town.

10/10 stay! The most genuinely friendly and helpful staff of any hotel I've ever stayed at. We had an issue with our AC unit on the first night and they immediately moved us to a new room and were very helpful. We extended our stay and they even upgraded our room! The pool is clean and so refreshing after a hot day exploring and they have a lovely outdoor seating area with a koi pond. The hotel is very clean and quiet, the WiFi is fast, and the location can't be beat. It's a short walking distance to the Chinatown market, the weekend markets, the gate, and tons of cafes and restaurants. If I was back in Chiang Mai, I would stay here again!

Had a wonderful 5 nights stay. Kiki, Titi, Yoba and Joseph and other staffs as well were exceptionally friendly and helpful. For those with weak legs, make sure to not book rooms on upper floors as there’s no elevators. And for those with kids, be careful on the stairs as some gaps are considered dangerous. Overall, a wonderful place.

Staying at the hotel was incredibly comfortable — the atmosphere was peaceful, relaxing, and it genuinely felt like being with family. The staff were wonderfully attentive, and the service was excellent from start to finish. The location is also very convenient, with the night bazaar just a short walk away, making it easy to explore and enjoy the area. Overall, it was a truly delightful experience, and I would happily return again.

I stayed for about five days and it was very comfortable. The atmosphere was really nice, and it’s close to the main attractions. There’s also a 7-Eleven just a three-minute walk away. The service was excellent as well.

Staying at Chiang Mai Thai House during my trip to Chiang Mai was incredibly relaxing. The staff were very warm and welcoming, just like a family. Whenever I needed something, they always did their best to help. The hotel is also in a great location, close to many popular attractions. Plus, there’s a 7-Eleven just a 3-minute walk away, which was super convenient. I loved it!
