A beautiful and serene campus with stunning natural scenery! Chiang Mai University offers a peaceful atmosphere, perfect for an afternoon stroll. The lake, especially at sunset, is breathtaking—the reflection of the mountains on the water creates a picture-perfect moment. The open green spaces make it a great spot for students and visitors to relax, and there’s a nice sense of community here. Whether you’re here for a walk, to explore the campus, or just to take in the views, it’s definitely worth a visit!

The campus is large and very scenic, featuring numerous lakes and trees throughout the area. You can enjoy long strolls or go jogging in the surroundings. It's located near a mountain, offering a beautiful view of the sunrise if you visit early in the morning. There are many coffee shops and eateries scattered across the campus. Additionally, there's a zoo situated next to the campus.

I recently had the opportunity to visit Chiang Mai University (CMU), and it was an enriching experience. The university has a beautiful and spacious campus, surrounded by greenery and set against the backdrop of Chiang Mai’s scenic mountains. The environment is calm and perfect for academic pursuits. One of the highlights of my visit was the stunning Ang Kaew Reservoir, a beautiful lake within the campus. The serene view of the lake, especially during sunrise and sunset, adds to the university’s charm, making it an ideal spot for relaxation, jogging, or simply enjoying nature. The campus is well-maintained, with modern facilities and a blend of traditional and contemporary architecture. I was particularly impressed by the university’s commitment to sustainability, as seen in its eco-friendly initiatives and green spaces. CMU also has a great canteen with a variety of delicious and affordable food options. The meals were both tasty and budget-friendly, catering to different tastes, including Thai cuisine and international dishes. It’s a perfect place for students and visitors to enjoy a good meal. The university fosters a vibrant academic atmosphere, with students and faculty actively engaging in research and innovation. Its international outlook is also commendable, welcoming students and collaborations from around the world. Additionally, the surrounding area offers a lively student-friendly atmosphere, with cafes, restaurants, and cultural sites nearby, making it an excellent place for both study and leisure. Overall, Chiang Mai University stands out as a top institution in Thailand, combining academic excellence with a wonderful learning environment. I highly recommend visiting or studying here!

They have a huge campus here, lots of trees and pond and fountain etc, plenty of coffee shops inside and around the campus, they also sell organic fruits and vegetables around the campus. It is a pet friendly campus, which is very nice, you can see people bringing their dogs and even cats here, they have goldfish in the pond and peacocks in the garden…..and it is open to public….people come here for jogging in the evening….

This is a beautiful campus for students, visitors, and expats alike. I really enjoy the track for getting exercise in the morning or evening. It’s conveniently located for those who live in the northwest part of the city. I was even fortunate to attend a concert held near the track.

Beautiful campus with a nice lake and greenery. It's suitable to come during the evening and there are lots of pets' owners who will bring their pets here to play around. Good vibes here. Very calming and living during the evening.

Very convenient campus, buses run around the campus. Good infrastructure, the campus itself is like a park. Each faculty has its own building. There is a Department of Foreign Languages, there is also a Confucius Institute. Teaching may take place in English.

There was a book fair at the library when I went, and a closeby food fair (not sure if it is available everyday). The campus is huge, u should rent a motorbike to travel around, as parking is easy at most faculties. As others have reviewed, there is a library, gallery, museum, lakes, cafes and so on. Suitable to spend half a day chilling and wandering around, would be nice especially on sunny days.
