I recently booked two Deluxe Twin rooms through lastminute.com, but upon arrival the hotel’s system only showed one booking. This made check-in slow, and after already waiting around 30 minutes, we were asked to wait another 30 minutes while the staff tried to sort it out. We were told both rooms were being upgraded to “Premium,” but when we finally received them, they looked exactly like the original rooms we had booked. When I asked reception, they reassured me it was an upgrade, though I couldn’t see any difference.
The rooms themselves were clean, comfortable, and tidy, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay.
However, the fitness corner was very disappointing. The room felt dusty and musty, the equipment was old, some pieces were broken, and everything was squeezed into a very small space. It really doesn’t match the impression given online, and I don’t believe the hotel should advertise having a gym in its current condition.
The pool area is pleasant, and the water is very cold and heavily chlorinated. The buffet breakfast was standard—basic but fine for a quick start to the day. Wifi dropped out quite a bit, so working or streaming was difficult at times.
The hotel is in a busy area, so you do hear traffic and planes, though I imagine they’ve soundproofed as best they can.
Overall, the staff were kind and the rooms clean, but several facilities need updating to match the expectations the hotel sets online.
