Chicago Lake Coin Laundry

Great laundry mat, very clean. Machines are in good, working condition. The laundry is reasonably priced. Coin machines inside and detergent available to purchase. Lots of security cameras inside and outside for the parking lot. The guy working there was helpful. Free wifi worked well.

I used this coin laundry for the first time this week. The space was clean, the machines were functional, and I felt safe during my visit. Wifi and restrooms are both provided to customers. A single load usually is around $3.50 and the machine takes quarters. $1 will get you 20 minutes of drying. Dryers were efficient. Its located between two bus stops so very easy to get to even when carless.

I am a frequent visitor here as it helps to stay on a budget, but tonight, the worker named Andre denied me entry despite showing up at 7:50-55 and the sign stating that the last wash must start at 8PM. if this is a rule that doesn’t apply, they should really make that more clear. also, the sign states that the store is open until 10PM, if this has also changed, they should keep their schedule up to date. the other manager allowed me to wash around the same time, not sure why this guy in particular was so rude. he refused to give me their supervisor’s number even though they are required when in a fuss. completely unprofessional.

We came at about 9:00pm and there is still a store staff helping us. The machines are in good conditions and the place is clean.

Not happy at all 🤬🤬🤬 due to the Covid 19 this people do not let fold clothes on side, if you don't want to get infected don't open the place at all!!!!! Don't you think? Nonsense oh my god!!! Plus, I spend to much money in comparison with my regular place, don't come here, by the way very poor costumer service!

This place discriminate against service dogs. Had me leave for breed of my dog. Service animals are not to be discriminated against. My dog was just sitting with me. Said babies and children are here. My service dog is a rott. Said no dogs after already had wash in. I had also asked last week when stopped and asked if service dog was allowed. Said yes. Now a different story. They need to follow the law. Even called manager to come and tell me. Sad people are so stupid.

Washers and dryers there are one of the best ones I've been to there's no washers there that fit 11 loads and then they have these huge laundry loaders that is so big you only have to unload your car only once

I've gone here twice and both times have been great. They keep an eye on people to make sure everyone is safe and I appreciate that! I've seen people come in, try and use the coin machine, wonder around looking at other people's laundry, try to use the bathroom. The staff approach and get the people out immediately if they don't actually have laundry to do. I love it. It's very clean and organized.

Clean facilities, attendants walking around making sure everything is working properly and nobody is causing problems. Plenty of washers and dryers, went midday on a Sunday and waited less than 5 minutes to get two washers next to each other. Standard laundromat pricing, about $10 for two medium loads.

Attendant was the most helpful, knowledgeable guy you could want. Gave me good advice on how to wash a comforter and which kind of dryer would provide the best value. My only suggestion: Replace the old electrical outlet over the bench behind attendant's counter: Couldn't use it for my phone charger because plug's prongs kept falling out -- sure sign that outlet needs replacement.

Lots of good machines with very few out of order. Lots of seating and available wheeled baskets. Staff is constantly cleaning. Plenty of table space for folding. Pretty much everything you need in a laundromat! My only quibble would be that they only do coins, no cc or other epay options. But perhaps that's my over-entitled whining! : )

Clean, well maintained, efficient, safe, cost effective - everything you want in a laundromat. I had a bunch of laundry as well as bedding to get done and instead of taking 30 trips to my apartment basement for their tiny washer and dryers, I decided to haul everything to the laundromat and get it all done at once. It was such an easy experience and I love this place! I was there for just over an hour (including folding my clothes).

I don't normally write reviews of anything, but I was blown away by this particular laundromat. They have more than just your standard washers and dryers. Some of the machines appear newer too. There were two men walking around greeting people and sweeping the whole time I was here. I watched both of them hold doors for people as they went out and came in with their clothing. A woman came in with a very large rug and one of them helped her load it into the appropriate machine. They have extractors here, which I wish I would have used before putting my comforter in the dryer, but I wasn't sure about it. ‍ when I asked after it had gone through one cycle if I should pull it out of the dryer and put it in the extractor, the gentleman told me he thought at this point, it probably just needed more time. And proceeded to load the dryer with a dollar of not my money. While waiting for it he continued to check on me "one more?" :) It was very sweet. I don't think I've ever been spoken to at a laundromat before. This was a great experience. I will be back here when I have larger things to do.

I don't go to the laundromat often but when I do I come here It's clean, the workers are friendly & helpful, and there's a popcorn machine

This is by far the best laundry in the twin cities. Always has an attendant and always very clean. If I could give it more stars I would. Extractors, iron press machines and lots of big machines. They even have one machine you could probably fit a queen size mattress in, though not recommended. They used to be 24 hours which made it perfect for the end of the week and avoiding the busy times. I think though because of the area they are not allowed to any longer. It's Chicago and lake so you get everything that goes with it.

The absolute cleanest laundromat I have ever been to. Really nice. Good prices. 4$ for a double load. And 8$ for a 5 load machine. I accidently dropped some socks on the floor and didn't hesitate at all to pick them up. So clean!

This place is clean and you can tell the owner takes pride in his business. I had some water damage in my closet so I needed to clean all of my clothing and this place saved me. I have a washer and dryer but I was looking at doing laundry all weekend. I will use this place in the future for cleaning sleeping bags and the like.

I revisited this site after a 10-year absence and was very impressed with not only the cleanliness but also the staff. I walked in the door and recognized someone from the past who worked there and had all of my questions answered. That did not happen only for me. I watched the other staff member interact with community members. They were attentive to their responsibility but also available to answer any questions. They even helped me to select the right machine so that I could save money. This is a two thumbs up establishment

Full service laundromat, attendants on duty, very clean , large variety of machines. Very friendly.

But no one has mentioned the most vital information ever ! What currency is required ??? Are there change machines ?? From what $$ amount to what $$ amount is the cost ranging ?? Nothing is more pleasing but to find the method of payment is flexible..taking bills up to $10"s or $20's if the machines cost up to $5+ a cycle ! U say it's A-OK so I will too until I get there tonite. ok after this posted I was availed of more review detailing that the cost is affordable and credit/debit cards are accepted !! Well alright ! That's as good as it gets !

My husband and I had the best experience we could have ever hoped for here. We had a huge bed comforter to wash and we selected this business because it was close (though others were closer) and had tremendously good reviews online. We are, by no means frequent laundromat customers, so we didn't know what to expect. When we first arrived on a Saturday afternoon, we found the place to be busy, but not annoyingly so. They have a huge facility with lots of different machines to choose from. We were greeted by a uniformed worker and he promptly helped us select which machine to use for our massive comforter. He even showed us how to use the detergent with the machine as well (which wasn't clearly labeled). The machine was fast and he checked in with us again after the washing process was done. We had more questions about which dryer to use and this same employee was knowledgeable and friendly with that, as well. We spent about $10 total for a nicely cleaned comforter and we were only there for about an hour. We also witnessed this same staff member helping elderly customers get laundry out to their car and graciously wipe up after a child spilled her juice on the floor. These employees are unbelievable and there is always someone working there 24 hours! I wholeheartedly recommend this Vend-A-Wash and it's nice to have such a clean, safe, and well-functioning laundromat so close. Well done! :)
