First off, this is a hostel that is meant for people who simply want a place to sleep, with decent airconditioning and all basic amenities that you would expect from a hostel. If that's what you're looking for, then this is one of the best hostel's you can find, especially at the almost perfect location that it is situated.
I stayed at the hotel for 4 days, and had a 2-person-bedroom. It's just big enough for a 2-person bed and a few amenities. Checking in is done at their sister hotel (Reding hotel). They will give you a keycard (and a spare) and from that moment on you can freely access the hostel using that keycard. When entered, you are greeted with a nice and cool bottle of water. There is a shower, a washing table, and towels (large and small) are provided. There is also soap and shampoo, and comes with bath slippers. The room is cleaned daily. Breakfast is included.
Pro's :
- Location is top notch. Everything is extremely nearby and there is a supermarket literally next-door.
- All basic amenities are there, and they're good
- Comes with airconditioning (quiet and works fairly well)
- Comes with a hairdryer
- Beautiful large RGB-LED strip above the bed (controllable)
- Bottle with water (refilled daily), shampoo, soap
- Nearly unbeatable price during the summer season
- The room is quite clean and well looked after
Cons:
- The bed is slightly on the hard side (pillows are great)
- When close to a breakfast area, it's very noisy in the morning
if you want to sleep through the morning, ask for a room far from the breakfast area when possible
- Noise between rooms is fairly noisy as well. If you focus enough, then you can actually follow a conversation in a different room.
All in all the noise is probably the biggest issue I've had, and would've given an absolute 5 star review when that would be covered. With that being said, for the money you pay this is one of the best hostels you can get in the heart of Barcelona.
