We had an amazing experience at Chicha in Arequipa. The highlight for us was the adobo arequipeño, a rich and flavorful soup with tender meat and a special pepper, perfect for dipping fresh bread. It was absolutely delicious and full of authentic local flavors. We also tried the corn toasts with trout, which had a ceviche-style preparation — super fresh and vibrant. Another standout was the guinea pig taco, where the tortilla was made with chicha morada (a traditional Peruvian purple corn drink), adding a unique and creative touch. The flavors were outstanding, the presentation was beautiful, and the service was very good. Overall, a memorable meal that truly captured the spirit of Arequipa’s cuisine. Highly recommended!

The food was delicious! Even bread was amazing. If you are not confident with Spanish, you might want to coordinate with them to get an English speaking server assigned. I had a challenge with communication with my server who doesn't speak English at all - which is fair though because we're in Peru... But there were many English speaking staff, so I believe they can offer help if you ask. That said, everyone was nice and I enjoyed the experience.

Hands down the best food I’ve had in Peru. I had the duck curry and it was absolutely phenomenal. The portion sizes are very generous, including the chicha morada which was the size of my head. You must come here if you’re in Arequipa !

Amazing!! Wish I could’ve afforded to try the whole taster menu, because everything I had was just delightful. First time trying Guinea pig and picarones and they both were delicious!

It was a thoroughly enjoyable experience. The traditional dishes: Rocoto Relleno and Adobo, were exceptionally flavorful. The staff was warm and welcoming, and the place had a nice, cozy vibe. Highly recommend!

Very good food and very good price for the quality. Our waitress was Juan Carlo’s Espinoza and he was excellent in serving us, explaining the dishes and giving suggestions. Very nice place I will go back for sure.

Chicha lived up to its hype! We were lucky to snag a table. Service was warm and efficient. The food? Exceptional. Tender pulpo, melt-in-your-mouth beef loin, and the spicy ricotta pimento with crispy chicharrones was a flavor explosion. Even the soup was divine. The atmosphere was vibrant and inviting. Highly recommended for an authentic and delicious Peruvian experience.
