Always nice and fresh. Sandwiches are good and tasty. Waffle fries are crunchy and delicious. Their chick fil a sauce is spectacular. There is always wait time when you order and pick up. Limited tables to sit and eat there.

first time trying chick fil a but can I say not only were the tenders great but the service too! wanted to specially mention the server (I think her name was Erne) who was absolutely lovely - genuinely engaged in conversation with me and made my day!

I placed an order to cater online, the nuggets I received were very salty. I have never had a complaint concerning Chick-fil-A. The young man and manager asked for the nuggets back to see if they were salty. I said they could but im leaving a review. I was granted another nugget platter for another day and promised a coupon. When I came to pick the platter up no one knew what I was talking about then I mentioned Rosemarie, my nugget platter was on a nugget box received attitude and no coupon. Definitely the worst experience .. I'm was a faithful costumer. I don't recommend this location.

My food came super fast even though the line was all the way to the door. They have fast service and the location is relatively clean considering the traffic at this place. Staff is friendly and always willing to help! And the manager is very generous!

Order food from this store and once again poor service. Was suppose to be sausage egg sandwich and receipt on Uber Eats clearly stated as much as did the store receipt. Do better. You are in a customer service line of work if you don’t want to provide said service move on

Clean restaurant and mildly - friendly staff. The location is busy but there is ample seating and the line moves quickly. Waffle fries were not up to the standard I expect at Chick-fil-A (i.e. pipping hot and crispy). However, the sweet Sirachi sauce is amazing.

Every morning I stop pass this store for breakfast before heading into work. I’ve been doing it for the last 6-7 months. I normally pick up my order, receiving no words (I.e., good morning, hello, how can I help you) and sometimes the workers have their back to the customers in the pick up location. How it takes two people to open a bag and stuff it with one order is beyond me. But whatever. Today, the associate Bladimir greeted me, gracefully handed me my food & drink, instead of placing it in the counter top nearest them w/o a slide order, and even sent me off with a “thank you, you have a blessed morning”. That was enough to start a day on an awesome note. I totally appreciate him, I feel like my chicken biscuit may taste better. lol

Can’t share pictures of a meal I did not receive, twice! How do you package and send out condiments and a shake WITHOUT THE ENTREE ON THE RECEIPT ON THE BAG. Never ordering from here again.

Pretty good service and location. They're located right on 14th, so it can get pretty busy at times - especially in the mornings around 8:00AM-10:00AM when everyone around is trying to get a quick bite to eat before work or school. This location has a good seating area, although it can get full pretty quickly. Food comes out quick.

so I went in on the 10th of February late afternoon and had this rude employee and his name was like Jamel or something like that so what happened was that after I had stood in line for a little while after he was done with a customer I was next In line he just stared at me didn't say next customer or anything and when I was ordering food he didn't say a word the entire time was hunched over and had such a bored look on his face like he didn't wanna be there and I was being nice to him saying please and everything and he just didn't care very unprofessional I understand if he was having a bad day but cmon he could've at least faked his smile and said hi or something I felt really disrespected and unwanted there probably will never return again :(

Ibby is a awesome guy, great energy in the morning made my morning better. He made sure my food was good and made sure I had everything. Amazing guy!

Despite being in a very busy area this location is fast & clean! The servers were nice & the manager came around and checked on customers. You do not see that at fast food establishments in DC! You can get a free refill here too. Limited seating but enough for the few people sitting down to eat. Not chaotic at all in here!

What more is there to say...about a Chick-fil-A!? You would have to be living underneath a rock!..No, forget that.the Grand Canyons if you don't know about it.... at least on the east coast. The food is always made fresh, prepared with quality-real ingredients and the customer service is always far above par. This location is new and falls right in-line with all the others. The food is fresh and per usual...good!! The menu is full of all the items you tend to be familiar with, when it comes to Chick-fil-A. Everything I ordered today was on point and delicious! I ordered my "go- to"...the #1 Meal: Chick-fil-A Deluxe w/ Waffle Fries and the Fresh Squeezed Lemonade. As if this was not enough food already, I order 8 nuggets and a Strawberry milkshake to satisfy the inner greedy voice inside of me begging for more. Overall...My order was great...prepared semi-fast and the food...served hot. As a general first impression, the wait time was a bit long for only two customer is the store but my order was a thumbs up. My only displeasement with this locations and order was my fries!! They were uncooked and a huge "no beuno" in my book. They need to be nothing less than crispy and on point. Other than this, I am so glad to see this location in my neighborhood. I am sure I will be a frequent visitor. When it comes to finding great fast food...somewhat on the healthy tip....if you don't always include a lemonade, brownie & milkshake like I do....this is it! lol * Honorable Mention: This location is opened for mobile ordering, contactless pickup and delivery.

This is about the Van Ness Chick-fil-A. In short, the service couldn't be any slower if they tried. I know they just opened, but it only seems to be getting worse, not better. The staff seems to want to be elsewhere. Which is where I'll eat from now on.

I've came in before with no problems. I came in today being that I can only get one sauce per item in my bag. I ordered just a sandwich and couldn't get two sauces, unless I purchased them. I find that really ridiculous being that I only wanted two sauces and that most locations don't limit sauces to their customers.

I walked in it was super clean ! Not loud at all despite the fact it's in a loud area very clean restaurant nice workers and the food the most freshest!!

This was how much they filled a "medium" fry - didn't realize until we got home, or else I would have returned it. Everything else was fine.

Chick-fil-A is probably my favorite fast food restaurant. I love their chicken nuggets, waffle fries, breakfast biscuit sandwiches and the awesome Chick-fil-A sauce! The honey mustard sauce is pretty great too. I stopped in here in February to get my birthday freebie. I had a choice of one free dessert. That day I choose the chocolate fudge brownie. I got a side order of waffle fries with plenty of Chick-fil- A sauce. I took it to go for my drive out of DC. I didn't have a long wait only about 2 minutes. The restaurant was not busy as it was after lunchtime but before dinner. The fries were crispy and tasty. I like the medium size ones best. The fudge brownie had a nice fudgy chocolate flavor. The texture was chewy on top and soft in the middle. It was not quite perfect because I was not at home to microwave it a few of seconds to warm it up. Jan 5th 2022 I haven't been to this location in a minute but I went because it was the nearest chick fil a to me. I went to this location on Wednesday night, ordered one original chicken sandwich then after I settled down and ate it I got food poisoning IMMEDIATELY after. It was so bad that It lasted until the next morning. This is unfortunate because I enjoy chick fil a but please be aware of the temperature your keeping the meat in and overall how long the meat is out before it is served!

The tables were filthy and the floors were littered. I won't be eating there again. They need to keep it clean.

You can't really go wrong with chick fil-a nuggets and waffle fries when you're craving fatty delicious fried foods. Manager is super friendly and line went pretty fast. Got my food in a few minutes and I sat down to happily devour it all after a long day!

If there's one fast food restaurant to give a solid 5-star to, it's Chick-Fil-A. For fast food, the food is quality and you'll be served your chicken sandwich with care and a genuine smile. I highly recommend the Spicy Chicken Sandwich (To save a few calories, ask for no butter and a wheat bun- it tastes the same), waffle fries (The European in me gets light mayo to dip them in), and the honey roasted BBQ sauce (You have to special request this as they keep it behind the counter). They keep the restaurant clean and inviting with plenty of seating. They fun the place with efficiency so no matter how long the line, you won't wait long. I also commend Chick-Fil-A for converting to organic Honest Kids in their kids meals. Woo hoo! Welcome to DC, Chick-Fil-A. Happy Chick-Fil-A-ing!

First time visiting this location AND having their breakfast! The line was kind of long in the morning especially since its in such a busy location near the metro and bus stops. We waiting about five minutes to give our order and the turn around was fine. We got the chicken minis and hash browns ! Man, they were great ! It was my first time and I have been missing out. The restaurant was clean and there was a lot of space. I would definitely be back for breakfast!

Today was Cow Appreciation Day. I went to my favorite Chick-fil-a location to enjoy my free entree. What did I love about today? Let's just say I was in line for less than three minutes. I walked in and was greeted by friendly associates. They were offering Cow hats and buttons if you weren't dressed in order for everyone to participate. The service was great, the food was fresh and the vibe in the restaurant was very fun. I definitely enjoyed my meal and my experience. Great event. #CowAppreciationDay

I left the gym next door starving and had been craving the spicy deluxe sandwich. I stopped here and waited in line for 10 minutes, and took my sandwich to go. I got home and opened my bag to see that I did NOT get the spicy deluxe. I have no idea what I got, but it was just a chicken patty on bread with some pickles... um the last I checked, the spicy deluxe is seasoned with spicy pepper coating and contains lettuce, tomatoes, and pepper jack. I can understand a mistake like this if I ordered 10 items, but seriously? I ordered 1 single sandwich, and they couldn't get it right?!?! #epicfail #hangry

Yesterday my brother & I had a hankering for Chick fil A. We drove over from our job, got a good park on Park Rd & headed on over. It was lunch so yes there was a line. However, Chick fil A NEVER DISAPPOINTS ! We hadn't been in line :5 before someone asked for our order. We than maybe waited :5-:7 and our names were called & oir food and sauces were ready. I can't say anything bad about them .

I'm giving the company 5 stars because I love their food! I would recommend! And customer service is awesome!

Only because I had to give a star. The tea mixed with lemonade out was so many seeds I was chocking on seeds. I had a chicken sandwich meal. The chicken was wet very greasy, tasted horrible. The fries tasted old. Like they was fried in old grease or something. Little pieces. Gross. I will not be eating from this place again. It has ruined me from eating at ALL of them!

This CFA has good service. They had a bit of a slip up on the portions in their salads this last winter, so we mentioned it and they have REALLY turned it around! That's always so impressive to me, esp being a fast food restaurant. Keep up the good work!

Even in the midst of a pandemic, CFA still remains unparalleled in customer service. Thank you Kevin at Columbia Heights location for literally running across the street to bring me my lemonade I forgot! Unfortunately, I spilled it in my car immediately -- but despite the sticky mess, I couldn't help but smile knowing the measures he took to deliver it! He had a mask on, but I'm sure he was smiling too :)

If I was just rating Chick-fil-A food, it'd be 5 stars. But you wouldn't really check out Yelp to know about Chick-fil-A would you? So onto the restaurant. This place is accessible enough for an urban location. Service was friendly but a tad too slow because, as another reviewer pointed out, teenagers were teenaging behind the counter (read: joking around rather than taking and filling orders.) If it takes too long to get your food it stops being fast food. It's also not the cleanest Chick-fil-A I've been to. It's fine. You get your fix. But it's far from their crown jewel location.

So, it's a Chick-fil-A and the classic chicken sandwich is pretty basic. But here's a little math for you: their breaded chicken + pickle + buttered bun is simple but delicious... + Polynesian sauce = PERFECTION. It was busy at lunch time, I spent 10-15 min waiting in line. But once I placed my order, it was out in no time. NO TIME. I literally spun around in a circle (trying to find the pick-up waiting area), and they called my name and had my order in-hand. Now that's what you call fast food. All of the staff were friendly and energetic, and there's also free Wi-Fi.

Is that a real Chick-fil-A it's only a DC Chick-fil-A. That means you should have a rude experience at the counter; more so, don't bring the children, bring the dog Last Winter time this was one of the few places serving coffee until 11 p.m. which can be very nice with Wi-Fi and outlets.

Why is this the first Chick Fil A to open in the district. And surprisingly, they have their S**T together. I think everyone in the near CoHi area has been awaiting this opening for.... years. And not to dissapoint. They have the line well organized at all hours of the day - taking orders ahead of time and then while you wait for your food they identify you with a colored and labeled bucket looking thing. Fast service, even with a line. And seriously how can you go wrong at Chick-Fil-A. I get the spicy with Chick-fil-A sauce but it is all delicious. They also have a food truck in the area. Large amount of seats if you want to stay. My only complaints are the refills require you to go back to the counter and they are closed on Sunday... but then again there were no surprises here. Good location in CoHi right by Target and the metro! Staff is always nice and ready to help.

Amazing meals Tried both spicy chicken and the deluxe spicy chicken which were amazing. Price is great under 10$. Fries are always fresh and hot. Service is super fast. Customer service is great. Overall this is yet the best restaurant I've been to in all of it's branches.

CFA is one of my go-to fast food places. I'm never really disappointed with my orders here. This location, especially, has fast service and really friendly staff. Their restaurant is also clean and the workers sanitize well! I personally really like the spicy chicken sandwich with waffle fries, chick-fil-a sauce, and Polynesian sauce. I am disappointed with how small the chicken nuggets are so I always avoid ordering them whenever I come here. This place is very COVID-friendly and a great place to grab a bite!

I absolutely love chick fil a and this is hands down the worst (out of at least 50+) locations I've ever been to. Never heard anyone say my pleasure once and you have to ask three times just to get sauces.

Man who calls out names for orders was very rude and condescending towards me, not very helpful. This was a doordash pick up and it took forever to get my order, people in front of me were getting their orders before me. Two stars for the tasty free smells

Today was my first time coming to a Chick-fil-A and it was a great experience. The customer service was remarkable. I've never seen a fast food place with this type of customer service. The environment here was pretty clean and put together. The food there was great too. It had their spicy deluxe sandwich, some nuggets, and fries, which was amazing compared to other fast food places. Overall an amazing fast food restaurant and would definitely come back if I was ever craving any fast food!

As another yelper stated, this isn't the crown jewel. The food is great and I recently was introduced to their chicken soup that is out of this world. I wouldn't hesitate coming here for the food; I just wouldn't take family who have never experienced CFA here because they wouldn't get the full experience of friendly, helpful, and clean CFA. The customer service is average, and for a CFA, that's not what I'm anticipating. An example from my last visit: I asked the man behind the counter how he was doing, and I didn't get a response. There were tables available to eat at, but a number of them needed to be cleaned, and another two-top was without chairs. The manager was there, handing out orders, and was pleasant, but I hope that it could improve.

On the whole - the store is fantastic. The managers are very hands on, helpful and responsive - both in front of and behind the counter. When the store is busy, they'll start taking orders while you are in line - which is amazing. Other establishments could learn from chick fil a. They limit sauces, which I found strange. And I wish they had paper towels in the bathroom vs a gross air drier.

I was so happy when this location opened because there's a shortage of Chic filas uptown. Pretty typical chick fila with great customer service and great food. They can get really busy so sometimes there may be a line. The inside can get a little cluttered but they stay on top of it for the most part. Great location right under the target on 14th st.

This place is one of my favorite fast food places to go to. They have a lot more healthier options than other fast food places. I personally love getting their chicken nuggets, deluxe chicken sandwich, and regular chicken sandwich. Their waffle fries are by far the best fries I have ever had from a fast food restaurant. They also have a large range of sauces that you can choose from. I love the chick-fil-a sauce and ranch; they both go perfectly with the chicken nuggets and fries. They also have a large variety of different drinks. I love their lemonade and frosted drinks. I love getting their frosted drinks as a sweet treat on hot summer days. Lastly, their customer service is by far the best customer service compared to any other fast food chain. All of their workers are super sweet and always trying to make your experience the best as it can be.

Chick-fil-A is my go-to fast food place if I am ever in the mood for chicken! I absolutely enjoy their original chicken sandwich and waffle fries on the side. Although, the place can be busy at times, the wait isn't usually that long. They have really fast service so the wait won't even seem as long as it actually is. The workers are pretty generous and won't hesitate to make any adjustments to the food. For example, I don't like pickles on the sandwich so I simply ask if they could remove it and they are more than happy to go through with the adjustment. The place is well sanitized and not very dirty compared to other places I have been to. This Chick-fil-A is covid-friendly so I suggest grabbing a bite at this place whenever you get the chance!

I always get the chicken sandwich with a side of waffle fries. This combo never fails! I typically buy fast food once or twice a week, and I get Chick-fil-A once out of those two times in a week haha! I guess I really do like the chicken sandwich combo. The staff is always so welcoming. Service is quick and efficient. This location is always clean and tidy and neat. Nothing bad to say! I haven't had a bad experience, and I hope it stays this way!

I ordered through the mobile app because the line was long and I was in a rush. I ordered a spicy chicken deluxe sandwich and when I got back to my destination and open the sandwich the top bun was missing.

service was bad, ordered chicken tenders and they were over cooked and dry. potato waffles were very salty not edible. Drinks were flat and not good.

It's CFA, so you know what you're getting in terms of food (delicious chicken!). The service at this location is decent. Compared to other chains, it's good. But compared to other CFA locations, it's a little lacking. I've been a few times for breakfast and it always seems a little disorganized to pick up food. Regardless, I'll be back because I love CFA and this is the closest location to me.

All I'm going to say is the App is your bear friend to order ahead because of the lines and the wait. But the food is always hot once you get your food. I haven't had a bad order since my last review which is a good thing. I normally come with my daughter it's a treat for her. She LOVES the fries. And I just tried for the first time the chicken tortilla soup and it may just be my go to meal even though it's a side item!!! But the wait kinda sucks, but I would rather wait for a mobile order than to wait in the line to place my order.

Chick-fil-yay! Disclaimer, I was hyped enough when Chick-fil-A opened in DC to camp outside overnight to be one of the first 100 to enter the store on opening day. It should be pretty obvious that I happen to enjoy it quite a bit, but I'll write a review anyway (though I'm not sure who amongst the Yelp community would read a review on a large chain fast food place like Chick-fil-A). The fried chicken sandwiches (#1) are consistent and tasty. They are more or less as simple as it gets, a piece of fried chicken + a couple small pickles. For fast food, it's good. Not call your foodie friend up good, but definitely hits the spot. The spicy chicken sandwiches (#2) are a step up, essentially a #1 with some added kick behind it. If I wasn't part of the #cfafirst100 getting free #1 meals, I would be ordering spicy chicken sandwiches all day. The grilled chicken sandwich (no idea what the number is .. #5? #6?) is a nice switch up from the fried stuff, and the chicken is still juicy. You also get a piece of lettuce and a tomato so you can pat yourself on the back for being more health-conscious than those fried chicken sandwich people. Nuggets are okay, but kinda pale in comparison to their sandwiches so I don't really get them very often. Fries are waffle-cut. I always feel like they could be fried a bit longer and would end up crispier but oh well. Drink-wise, their sweet tea is good but VERY sweet. You can get half sweet tea, half unsweet tea to balance the flavor a bit which I find helps a lot. Another cool mix is half lemonade, half sweet tea (Arnold Palmers) or just upgrade your drink for an ice cream sundae (just a dollar something extra and it's a huge sundae). No judgment. Sauces: my favorite is the honey-roasted BBQ, which for some reason comes in smaller squeeze packets instead of a wider packet like the rest of the sauces do. The Chick-fil-A sauce used to be my favorite but the more I have it, the more I feel like it's too sweet for me (honey-roasted BBQ is pretty much Chick-fil-A sauce but less sweet and more tangy). FYI, Chick-fil-A sauce is essentially honey mustard + BBQ + either mayo or ranch in case you were curious. Polynesian tastes like the duck sauce you get at the cheap Americanized-Chinese restaurants and I'm not a fan at all but if you like that stuff then no judgment. Everything else is pretty ordinary, like BBQ / ranch / ketchup / buffalo. There's always a long line, but my experiences with it have been pretty good. I don't think I've ever waited longer than 10-15 minutes between getting in line and getting my food. $7 for a burger, side of fries, and a drink is about what I'm willing to pay. Giving it four stars because even though I've had the #1 meal at least 20 times in the past half year, I'm still not sick of it. They must be doing something right.

No way any of these good reviews are real. This is a disaster of a chick fil a. Once again proving DC workers are just simply awful even with arguably the best tasting, best paying fast food franchise. Opening week had trainers, managers, etc all humming along and now it's simply an abandoned mess of staff who don't care, are very rude to customers and each other and have no idea how to run a restaurant. I've seen management there and she just walks around cleaning tables and not interacting with any of her staff. It's sad and frustrating. On top of it, the food is getting really bad. Biscuits are soggy mess, chicken isn't breaded properly and has a funny taste. Stay away until they get new management and go to a chick fil a in Virginia.

Full disclosure, my little brother's first job was @ Chick Fil A. So from time to time, he'd bring home extra sandwiches. Unfortunately the good folks at CFA did not move my brother to DC or give me free sandwiches. Though I am available for free sandwiches. Dorothea, we're not in Texas anymore. When someone told the founder that a fried chicken breast with a two pickles on a lightly buttered roll was so simple, he's reported to have said, "That's why I was able to do it" That's all it is. Pressure fried chicken breast sandwiches. You could get fancy or go for grilled or "Throw some Cheese On It", but why mess with a good thing? Arguably there are other fried chicken breast sandwiches at other places that are as good or better. (I for one can't think of any) The real interesting thing about CFA has always been the service. I'm not exactly sure what they do to unruly Texas teenagers and get them to respond the same way to every customer. But it's eerie. It's actually disconcerting. And all over the South, they all respond the same way. It's like someone came up with a way to brainwash teenagers into constraining their youthful energy and always be cheery. That doesn't happen at McDonald's. You'll even run into surly Whole Foods employees. CFA is the Nordstrom's of the fast food chicken business. So would it work here in DC? Typical DC service is part Southern and part Northern. Southern - Slow and sweet Northern - "Brusque" but efficient So DC is usually Slow and Brusque. What would this Chick Fil A experience be like? *Orders #3, with waffle fries, and lemonade.* *crosses fingers* - Cashier was nice and courteous. - I was informed that they would be out of ketchup until Monday. She did offer me other sauces. - tried to upsell me on the fries, (good job), but missed an opportunity on the chocolate chip cookie. (they're usually great, but I didn't think to ask for one, and don't remember seeing one) - Teenagers were slightly teenaging behind the counter - not sure if that was half a Milly Rock or a smidgen of Dab, but not egregiously like at say Krispy Kreme at Dupont Circle. (oh yeah, shots fired.) Food didn't take long to come out. And the youngsta that brought it to me was nice and courteous with the exchange. Color me astonished. CFA might be the real deal here in DC.

Fist off, I LOVE Chick-fil-A, especially the one near my home in Laurel off 198. However, on Saturday (1/30/2016) evening around 8ish, I stood in line for a 1/2 an hour (only because my mother insisted), while I watched a bunch of cooks in the back (around 4) moving like molasses, ONLY TWO DAMN people on the register while the line was to the door. I watched 2 managers ignore the line and take their time re-stocking the condiment station (EVEN THOUGH THEY ASK AND GIVE YOU THOSE AT THE REGISTER) in the middle of the melee', while another "manager" took his time making milk shakes (ONLY!!!!!!!) at the pace of a sloth. The French fries I received were the exact same ones I saw when I first arrived, sat for 30 minutes and were waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay to salty. Again I love Chick-fil-A, perhaps this was just 1 bad day, but the managers lack of concern or participation helping the other take or fill orders was offensive. I also wondered why it took 2 grown men to re-fill some condiment packets (huge mis-waste of time). Plus there is no parking. I will avoid but may try again if I am desperate. On a positive: the cashiers were very apologetic & friendly and my sandwich was awesome.

By default, chick-fil-a received 5 stars for really being the only quality fast food chain. The location itself gets 5 stars as well. Staff is attentive, the lines are quick (even when out the door), and the entire place is kept flawlessly clean. Thank god lime left the space - there is no competition for Spicy Chicken Deluxe. One day my Sunday cravings for Chick-fil-a will be met. But meh, I can live with out it in the interim. Will definitely be in my rotation on the random craving night. My one suggestion is to keep the store open an hour or so later so we have a place to run too when everywhere else shuts down (Cava, Panda, Chipotle, etc). But that's probably a corporate thing. Oh well. Eat more CHIKN!!
