The Best Wings in London | Eater London

"Disco wings: where the crunch is loud and the flavours are jumping. Owner Carl Clarke has been tweaking this recipe for over a decade and it shows; they’re brined overnight, coated in a secret seasoning then cooked to a Korean method which means low heat pressure fry, high heat deep fry and a very crunchy end result. The kung pao sauce takes inspiration from the Sichuan dish kung pao chicken using soy, oyster sauce, ginger, garlic, and chilli. Whole fried chillies, pickled chillies, peanuts, and spring onion bring salty, acidic pops. Various locations." - Helen Graves

Where to Find the Best Fried Chicken in London | Eater London

"Unsurprisingly focussing on fried chicken and sour cocktails, Chick ‘n’ Sours’ original Haggerston restaurant has just reopened, following a two-month hiatus and interior makeover. As well as procuring a new basement bar, the restaurant has a new menu format and plenty of new dishes. The ‘Ssam Style Half Fry’, for instance, features half a chicken that’s pressure cooked on the bone and served with lettuce cups, pickles, kimchi and ssamjang barbecue sauce. Moreover, the restaurant’s famed sandwiches are still available alongside whole fried chickens served on Sundays." - Jonathan Hatchman

Can't say if this is the standard across all their locations but food tasted very cheap and processed. I ordered the K-Pop burger, tenders, wings and cucumbers. The cucumbers were missed from my order and instead I got fries - no big deal for me but if you're picky with your food be sure to check what's in your order. The burger was bland and overwhelmed by cheap coleslaw which makes pictures look great but the burger taste very cheap. The wings were covered in cheap sauce - it tasted like the non-brand pack of 12 chilli sauce you buy from the Asian super market. Then spring onion was sprinkled over to make it look pretty. The chicken tenders were drowning in oil. This is the standard of food I expect from the chicken shops on Whitechapel Road but not from a branded kitchen charging £11 a burger. The QR code system for ordering is terrible too. Frustrating to use, poor experience and doesn't support Apple pay.

Ignore the 1* review of this place. It's the best chicken restaurant in the UK. Every dish is absolutely fantastic. Easily my favourite restaurant I've been to in London

SO DELICIOUS! Had really excellent service from this restaurant. Everything we tried (and we ordered a lot!) was delicious. Loved their house cocktails too.

Horrible experience. Got badly spoken to and paid for cheesy fries that I never had. Do not recommend.
