My friends and I came to Chicken Foot after we realized it's not actually selling chicken foot (thank goodness lol). Haven't had a proper fried chicken in a while and we came hungry and ready to get our hands dirty!
There are 3 of us and we got the perfect amount of food - 1 whole chicken (2 breasts, 2 thighs, 2 drums, and 2 wings), and order of fried okra, an order of Brussels, and a large order of truffle fries (could've gone with the "side" size), along with some dipping sauces (ranch, chipotle, and honey mustard). We didn't have room for their shakes but those looked interesting as well!
The fried chicken was fairly juicy, even the breast was pretty good! Seasoned well and on the salty side (but in a good way), and you could def go without the dipping sauces.
Love love love the Brussels sprouts, they must've loaded it with oil bc it was so nicely charred and crispy on the outside, it was all three of our fav side (surprisingly!!).
Fried okra was also excellent, not your dry/frozen kind of okra, the veg tasted fresh and the breading perfectly crunchy. I'm convinced it's not from frozen! It's really done right!
The truffle fries were good, went well with ranch, but we were so full that I wish we'd gotten a smaller portion.
There were many other sides and entrees I would like to try next. This is a great friend chicken place! I would love to see something more a sweet heat inspired glaze/dipping sauce like chili pepper honey or brown sugar gochujang, I think that's go really well with the friend chicken.
Only one bartender was working the floor, may have been an atypical night, but I think that probably slowed the beverage sale a little bc I would've ordered a shake in the beginning before my tummy realized how stuffed I was going to be.
We will definitely return!
