The place is also popular for short nature walks and trekking trails that take you through beautiful forested paths with occasional sea views. The sound of birds, waves, and wind makes the entire experience very calming. Important information for visitors: Do not plan to visit Chidiya Tapu before 9:00 AM. The official visit starts from 9:00 AM, and visitors are required to sign in at the entry point before proceeding. Only after completing the entry formalities are you allowed to go inside for sightseeing or trekking. Reaching early will not help, as entry is not permitted before the official opening time. Overall, Chidiya Tapu is a must-visit destination in Port Blair, but make sure to plan your timing properly to avoid inconvenience and enjoy a smooth and memorable visit.

Visited the Biological park at chidiyatapu and then the sunset point and munda pahad beach too. The biological park is home to variety of interesting endemic tree species which are useful for traditional medicinal use and timber you will be surprised as you get to know more and more about them. The state tree padauk can also be seen , which is reddish in color and looks very aesthetically appealing when sawn. Then there is thitpok and gurjan which are also variety of timber trees high in demand .there are reptiles like crocodile, monitor lizard , snakes which are endemic to the island like Andaman cobra. You can also spot endemic birds like Andaman coucal, Nicobar pigeon, Andaman green pigeon , Andaman wood pigeon , Andaman dark serpent eagle and white bellied sea eagle etc. There is an entry ticket for 20rs. Only and you get much more in return. You can either choose to walk or take am electric buggy. I always prefer walking as it lets you observe everything slowly at your own pace, in a buggy it's too fast to reallye njoy such a peaceful place full of natural biodiversity cause every detail matters and being in foot let's you do that. The walk is approx. An hour or longer depending on each person. I took 5 hours as I was walking very slow and stopping at every other inch to observe what is there in front of me it was so much fun. There are spotted deer and barking deer as well which were introduced to the island by British during colonial times. Don't miss to see crab eating macaque the only monkeys on the island from Nicobar. If you are interested to see orchids there is a place full of endemic orchid species which tells how rich and fragile the nature of these islands are and must be protected at all cost. Hope you will enjoy the visit , after the biological park one can stop for mesmerizing sunset point in evening , before that if you wish to you can go to munda pahad beach as well which is only 1.7 km from sunset point , so plan well and have fun.

You can enjoy the breeze with sounds of birds, making you feel like near to the nature. There is nothing much to watch. But you can spend an hour or two with family by relaxing. Need to come in private transport as no public transport is available. Sunset view is good only between Jan to March season as other months not visible much. Sunset will be by 4:40-4:50 pm.

One of the best locations in Andaman Island to watch sunset . There is a Biological park just beside this beach which can be skipped . Coconut water , and various other snack options are available. Overall , a very scenic place to watch sunset with your family and the place gets crowded as well during sunset .
