The Chiesa di San Giorgio (1760) and adjacent Castello San Giorgio occupy a ridge between the sea and Portofino, Italy. A large Catholic cemetery is behind the church which is perched on the edge of rugged cliffs.

Chiesa di San Giorgio ⛪️ in Portofino is a beautiful church, painted in yellow, sitting on a hill. You can reach it by taking a set of stairs🚶🏻➡️, and the climb is definitely worth it. The church has lovely architecture, and from the top, you get amazing views of Portofino and the bay 🛥️ . It's a peaceful spot with both great scenery and a sense of history—a must-visit when you're in Portofino!🏞️🌅

Nice church on the top of a hill with amazing view over the sea and Portofino. The walk up is easy and pleasant.

Great views from the church! You can see the entire harbor, with all the yachts and the restaurants, while on the other side there's the sea.
It's easier to reach using the road (which has a small incline), which then continues until the lighthouse

The church is built on a rock, which offers a very beautiful view of both, Portofino town and the open sea. It's worth it to see

There are 2 ways to go up here. Through stairs or the other way is through an inclined road. Both ways are totally fine but i do prefer the inclined road since the stairs were pretty tall and steep. The view from the church is amazing! Must go when in Portofino

The church is ok, definitely the lesser of the two we saw while in Portofino. It's a good one time see, the view is good, but not better than the castle. Because I've seen it now id skip in the future. The inside is bare and lackluster. Looked to be a bit in bad condition. The cemetery behind the church was a bit more interesting
