This is a beautiful church on one of the main streets in the historical old town of Verona. The church dates back to the tenth century and was built on foundations from the Roman times. There are many beautiful mosaics and frescoes, and the architecture reflects to its age. The entrance is free and it is certainly worth a visit when you are in Verona

Beautiful old church. A haven of quiet off the busy road. Very touching nativity display by WW1 soldiers who were hospitalised there in Dec 1917. Thankyou to the volunteer guides who were both kind and helpful.

The church dates at least back to the XII century. The church was damaged by a fire that destroyed most of Verona in 1172 and by this reason, it has affixed an inscription engraved on a marble triptych on the external wall, which commemorates the event of that year "combusta est civitas Verone"
