Beautiful Lotto frescoes as well as a remarkable number of other frescoes ranging from the 13th-16th century.

Chiesa di San Michele al Pozzo Bianco is a small, historic church in Bergamo, known for its Romanesque architecture. Built in the 12th century, it features a charming facade and a beautifully preserved interior with ancient frescoes. The church is named after the nearby "white well" (pozzo bianco), adding to its unique identity. It is a hidden gem, offering a peaceful atmosphere for visitors interested in Bergamo’s religious and artistic history. You can pay 1 EUR to turn on the lights inside for 10 minutes

Wonderful church, real architectural and cultural monument. You are going to find here stunning frescoes of XIV-XVI century. Admission is free but any donation are welcomed and highly appreciated. Visitors are allowed to take non commercial photo without flash light.

I love it. Once you are in you are able to feel you displaced into an ancient atmosphere, maybe even more because of the very few people visiting it. I think this is for the authentic connoisseur desiring to switch a moment in life and quench his thirst at masters of painting school, in a very few words: I love beyond the limit, really, not only frescoes but the volumes of the building itself. Building's underground is also accessible, don't miss it.

It's a modest church, in the very best meaning of these words. Of all the temples in Bergamo, I will probably remember this one the most.

Unfortunately the time-table provided us with wrong times and we weren’t able to spend much time there
