The Best Things to Do in Venice, Italy’s Haven for Art and Architecture Fans | Condé Nast Traveler

"Alberto Cavalier's tiny studio near Chiesa San Vidal represents the last generation of master frame makers and gilders—it's a rare place to see centuries-old craftsmanship still practiced by hand." - Jenn Rice

We went to see a live concert here playing vivaldi's four seasons, and the acoustics were excellent. Loverly building with lots of history. There are lots of cabinets with old violins displayed over 100 years or more very interesting. The architecture is very impressive, too. We'll worth a visit.

We went to the Four Seasons concert by Antonio Vivaldi here. This is a must see attraction if in Venice, the sounds echoing through the former church was truly magnificient. The show is with an ensemble of 8 musicians while we attended here, and was truly breathtaking. The cost is 32 euros per entrant if bought in front of the space on the day, we prebooked on GetYourGuide and were charged 39/pax but were guaranteed a spot. The show runs on for 1 hour and 30 minutes, half of which is the Four Seasons and the other half with various other pieces and the lead changing depending on the verse. Overall an unforgettable experience.

i went to see the four seasons. the promo pictures promised a more complete ensemble of 16 musicans, but there were only 9 musicians at the performance. the music performance itself was pretty good, nothing exceptional but still good. the venue, however, is completely subpar. the seats are uncomfortable and squeaky, and it is extremely distracting to hear them when the people around move. there is also absolutely no airflow in the room and the surrounding people's body heat makes it extremely stuffy. the sound is not amplified, but the acoustics of the venue are still pretty good. please note that there is no assigned seating, so you have to arrive about a more than a half hour before the starting time to secure a good seat, otherwise the people in front will block the view. we got there 10 minutes before and got seats at the very back.

Beautiful acoustics in this church used as a concert hall. We enjoyed Vivaldi's Four seasons and an additional concerto here. Very enjoyable, and the church is beautiful.

We were there for a "Four Seasons" concert, which we absolutely loved. All the performers and soloists were world-class. The church itself is beautiful, with some of the most advanced sculpting I've seen. The church also has old instruments in display if you're a fan of music history. 10/10 recommended.

We were at the Vivaldi concert, the Seasons, it was a masterpiece. The musicians played incomparably, cleanly, and had an encore. Classical music in such a historic place sounds divine. We are very happy with the concert, it is better to come in advance, because the seats are not numbered and you choose the available ones. The hall is full of spectators

We went for the concert. Once of the top experience in Venice. 100% recommended. Come with time before the show, at least 30 min to have a good spot. And avoid pictures! Isn't only disrespectful with the organization and musicians, but also with the rest of spectators

Yelp
We were walking in Venice, on holidays, no plans just enjoying this beautiful & romantic city. We came across Chiesa di San Vidal and the announcement that in 1,5 hours a Vivaldi performance was happening. We were so lucky! We even had chance to have dinner before the event. The experience was fantastic, it is an intimate space and the acoustic is perfect! The musicians were great too.

Yelp
Concert was amazing! The violinist were rock stars, we didn't stop clapping and got 3 encores. They were delightful. Only issue is the place overbooks so get there early to get decent seat otherwise you are sitting up against the wall. Amazed by the talent. Tickets were 29 euros bought them near Rialto in a smaller church. You can by cds after concert for 17. Only still photos allowed no video.

Yelp
My family recently attended a performance of Vivaldi at this venue. It used to be a church but has been transformed into a performance venue. Tickets are reasonably priced. They offer discounts for children and students. The seats are first come first serve so I would recommend arriving at least 15 minutes before doors open if you want a good seat. We brought our family, 3 adults and 2 children. We were fortunate enough to get front row seats as we arrived 30 minutes early. They removed the church pews and replaced them with fold up chairs with attached backrest. This may be my only complaint. Because the seats were attached the whole row moved when someone shifted their weight or moved. Other than that they were comfy seats. The performance was spectacular. The acoustics and ambiance were magical and just what we wanted to experience while in Venice. If you are attending an 8pm performance I highly recommend eat dinner before the show as it ends at 10pm and most of the local restaurants close at 10pm. We did find a few places open later but it would have been quite a walk from the venue. If you want to experience superb music in an ancient church turned theater, i highly recommend this experience!

Yelp
I think this is the resident venue for the "INTERPRETI VENEZIANI: VIOLINS IN VENICE" concert. The concert was fantastic, but not sure this is the right place to review that. The church itself is beautiful inside, with the high vaulted ceilings and ample space within providing great sound detail as the music resonates through. In the summer months, the lack of air conditioning may not be forgiving, but well worth it for the quality of sound that can be heard within.
