Nice and clean with fun retro decor in the lobby. Bed could have been more comfortable and I didn't like the crinkly pillows. It felt like they were filled with some sort of plastic. Breakfast was great. The kids were super excited about the pancake machine! Staff was very polite and efficient.

The reception area is beautifully modern and updated, and the hall way was well decorated to go with the theme but our room was very original. So was a wee bit of a suprise. But it was spacious, clean, lots of natural light and a door that opened to the balcony. Beds were uncomfortable and the bathroom had no fan but the shower pressure was good. Carpark was $5 for the day / night. Customer service was friendly and helpful. Value for money and good location. Would I stay again yes.

Nice hotel but starting to show its age. Reception is nice but the rooms are starting to need work. We tried calling the hotel to make our reservation for 3 days, before finally giving in and driving to the place to do it personally. .. not good. Room was comfortabe enough, but the colour scheme left a lot to be desired. Very dated. Bathroom was fine but who thought it would be a good idea to put the toilet in front of the mirror? Not good for a bloke when you are standing there, believe me!

Reception area was nicely decorated however the room was very outdated. The shower head was small, water temp was very temperamental, the king bed kept separating and was very uncomfortable in itself. Hardly anything in the minibar. The pro was that it was a short 5 minute walk to the team station and had a big playground opposite it for kids. Wouldn’t stay again.

Room was VERY outdated. Cracks in walls, old stained carpets, duct tape holding the air con unit remote together, TV remote missing, fittings coming off walls, wireless kept dropping out. This place could be nice but it needs a fully blown renovation to bring it up to standard. Definitely not worth the $175 a night price tag. Only saving grace were the staff - very friendly and helpful.

Great value for money. Clean rooms and facilities, and the whole hotel was freshly renovated. Friendly staff and a nice look to everything. Our room felt big and clean. My only complaints are the noise. We had a room with a shared door between the rooms which are obviously for families or friends to join two rooms together. The doors were locked, but they are paper thin and we heard every noise next door. The rooms had large windows all across the north wall which is lovely but it also lets in lots of city noise. And the sheets were stiff and very noisy when you have four people (two kids and two adults) sleeping in the same room. Over all I would definitely recommend the place, but just keep in mind the noise issue if it's important that you have an undisturbed sleep.

Friendly staff with easy parking. You do not pay top dollar as it is an older motel. Was clean and tidy. Our room was on the ground floor and next to the reception lounge area so was a bit noisy even to the early hours of the morning.

From the style of the lobby this place seems great and the staff are friendly. The view from our 1st floor balcony is nice, for the price our room was a let down. Minimal furniture yet the room still seems small, tiny tv and black scuff marks on the walls. The only thing our room has that we enjoy is the bath and the too double beds. The elevator is turned off everyday from 11pm to later in the morning due to "maintenance requirements". No wonder why when riding it, it is old, very noisy and jumps when approaching your floor opening it's doors mid-motion. My 4yo was to scared to rid it after the first time.

Yelp
Great spot. I booked a room for myself and at the last minute had to add my partner and son to the room. They provided a porta cot all set up and just charged me the price of my husbands breakfast extra. Really smooth booking experience through booking.com The room was nice and clean and the bed was really comfortable. I love the decor downstairs in the foyer.

Yelp
As far as bang for your buck, this is one of the best I've had in Adelaide. We stayed over night just recently for about $105, including parking. I was really quite impressed when I walked in. For that price, I was expecting a complete dump, or at least something very poor. I've paid more to stay in really bad places before. But lo and behold, the place is actually alright. It's a bit shabby in places, a bit dated, but it's comfortable, the rooms are generally graced with modern furniture, and the location is pretty awesome. The only thing that I really thought was a bit low rent was the shower, but that's not a big deal, and it isn't that bad. It's very clean, just very aged. Good place to stay.

Yelp
Great hotel. A great location, only a half hour walk or short drive to the city centre. A 4 star hotel, I found this hotel to be nice than some of the 4.5 or 5 star hotels I have stayed in. The room was lovely, bright and spacious. We had a balcony that overlooked the park. The bed was comfy, clean sheets, clean bathroom, big shower. The staff were lovely. I rang up in the morning to ask for a later checkout, and was happily given until 11:30. Overall a very pleasant stay.

Yelp
This was our first trip to Adelaide and we were in town for a wedding. The bride had advised that either the Grand Chifley or the Chifley South Terrace (right next to each other) would be the best hotels to stay in due to their proximity to both the ceremony and the reception (which was held at The Pavilion). We are now wishing we had not taken her advice and picked our own hotel. The Chifley South Terrace is extremely dated and appears to have had very little maintenance, possibly since it was first built some decades ago. Overall, the hotel felt more like a motel and everything was quite shabby and run down. The location was close to the reception venue for the wedding we were attending however for a regular visit to Adelaide it was too far away from the main CBD and mall area for my liking. It was necessary to catch a bus or taxi to get to anywhere that had reasonable signs of life, food and coffee etc. The room was large and the bed was comfortable but that was were the positives ended. The bathroom was pretty average and in our room the shower was a health risk - the hot water was either scalding (literally) or non-existent, which led to 2 days of cold showers. Our room was also at the front of the building facing onto South Terrace and the road noise was quite loud in the mornings (especially with some type of garbage collection occurring at about 6.30am on Saturday morning). I was unimpressed that, despite having organised for a late checkout with our booking we were called by reception hassling us to check out at the normal check out time. This was my first stay in Adelaide and at this hotel. I would not stay here again and I am certain there would be better value for money hotels in the city with better location and amenities that the here.
