"The Deal: $65 Lunch For Two, $65 Dinner For Two (Daily) There's not much in terms of Chinese food in Belltown—but there's always Chiho Bistro. While their SRW dinner is $65, it's a flat fee for a five-course, family-style approach that feeds two to three folks. That's a pretty solid deal in our book. Especially considering that you get excellent xiao long bao, crab rangoon or pork wontons, truffle fried rice or dan dan noodles, stir-fried bok choy or truffled cauliflower, and honey walnut prawns or kung pao wagyu sirloin." - kayla sager riley, aimee rizzo

"Chiho Bistro is a solid Chinese spot we like for a last-minute meal in Belltown, but you’re there for their excellent lineup of xiao long bao. There’s more variety than any other soup dumpling place in town—you’ve got traditional pork, truffle pork, spring onion chicken, szechuan peppercorn pork, and a vegan soup dumpling stuffed with a plant-based pork substitute. On a particularly crummy day, few reasons exist not to grab a combo basket involving all six types." - aimee rizzo

"It can be difficult to find somewhere for a quiet dinner in Belltown when you’re perpetually surrounded by corporate employees heading to Happy Hours and tourists who couldn’t get into Shiro’s. But Chiho is one of the calmest spots in the city, especially for it being in the middle of an extremely loud neighborhood. This cozy Chinese restaurant specializes in soup dumplings—from classic xiao long bao to black-dyed wrappers filled with brothy truffle-spiked pork—and that's what you should prioritize for best results. Though, it's hard to pass up their crisp salt and pepper tofu. " - kayla sager riley, aimee rizzo

We went there for an early Sunday dinner. Street parking is somewhat difficult to find but we were lucky to get a spot not far from the restaurant on the 2nd Ave. We had a reservation so we were seated right away. The dishes came out pretty fast; they were all flavorful, and a nice portion for the price. We will definitely come again!

Solid place to get Chinese food in Belltown. I like that they offer Hong Kong style roast duck. That can be hard to find outside of International District (ID). We also got the wontons in chili oil and salt and pepper tofu and those were good too. The restaurant looks new and clean. I like all the modern furniture paired with Chinese decorations. It gives the restaurant a modern feel but still maintaining a tie with Chinese culture. The service was good. The waiter boxed up our leftovers for us which I appreciated. I also like the takeout bag they give you to carry your food. It’s a small, reusable bag so you can use it again later.

Came in for dinner (after 9pm) on a weekend. There was no wait which I imagine is due to the large volume of rain, though we first had to be seated at the bar due to all the tables being occupied. Service was fast; our waiter brought out the menus and took our order very fast. We noticed a table left and asked our waiter if we can be seated at a table instead due to the amount of food we ordered. He later cleaned out the table and moved us over very quickly. We ordered some items off the happy hour menu as well as the regular menu. The mala wings had a very nice crunchy texture along with a thick crust. The Dandan noodles were bouncy and the kitchen was very generous on the toppings and chili oil. The skin of the soup dumplings is roughly the same thickness compared to other restaurants in the area that offered soup dumplings but is more resilient/less likely to be broken by chopsticks. I highly recommend ordering the beef in chili oil as I feel it's the best dish to indulge in the numbing properties of Sichuan peppercorns. Overall I'd rate this above DTF and the same level as dough zone for soup dumplings, though the other menus outside of soup dumplings would make me enjoy this more then DZ.

This is one of my favorite restaurants on the planet now. My fiancée and I stumbled upon Chiho after we came in late from the airport, and it was one of the only places near us that was open. It was super busy but service was quick, and everything was soooooo delicious and flavorful. The soup dumplings are a must-try. We were so impressed with the food that we came back a second time, and we plan to go again before we leave Seattle! I can’t express how disappointed I am that this place isn’t near where I live!! Definitely worth a visit (or 3) 1st night: mixed soup dumplings, the dan dan noodles, and the garlic fried chicken wings 2nd night: black truffle fried rice, general tso’s chicken, and traditional soup dumplings (I highly recommend these 3 dishes!!)

Saw good reviews of this place and wanted to check it out. Food was delicious and fast. We tried truffle, spicy and 5 dumplings samples, spicy boiled fish, stir fried string beans, beef rolls, Dan Dan noodles, lychee sweet & sour pork. They all full of flavor and good portion for the price.

Pros: 2 happy hours daily, the second one starts at 9 PM. They stay open later than most restaurants in the area. That was greatly appreciated. Menu was diverse. The honey walnut shrimp ($22) was absolutely amazing. Made with jumbo shrimps! Plus the shrimp eggrolls had actual shrimps in them that I could see and taste. They seem to be using quality ingredients. Service was nice. I dined alone and he checked on me at least three times. Cons: Uncomfortable seating. Hard chairs and benches only. Parking isn’t the easiest in the area, though I did find some right across the street. I got really lucky.

Ordered wagyu soup dumplings and truffle wagyu fried rice. The soup dumplings were good, but two out of six dumplings didn't have soup in it. The fried rice had a very strong truffle flavor, which was great, but it was too oily and most importantly, Where is the wagyu? There were probably 10 tini tiny pieces of meet in the whole thing, like peas size meat. Not worthy.

Vegan dumplings were incredible!! Chicken soup dumplings pretty good too. Noodles were a bit overcooked and not fresh. Hot and sour soup came out cold. Overall dishes were a solid 3.5
