Beautiful cozy property with isolated serenity. Amazing stargazing at night and fun walking trails on the property. The views of Vulcan Cotapaxi where stunning, and we loved our family suite with wood burning fireplace. Humble and highly responsive staff made our stay even more welcoming, while exciting adventures all booked directly through Chilcabamba were well worth it and a great value. Perfect for romantic getaway or family adventure - highly recommend!!

We stayed in Chilcabamba lodge for four nights on a weekend. We had the most amazing view of the Cotopaxi Volcano in the morning and during our horse riding. The experiences that this places offer are good and very enjoyable. Only big problem from this place was the internet connection completely horrible, during night time was usually worse because of more guests on the hotel and we couldn’t even enjoy a movie on our room. This place have the potential to be a 10/10 but they have to fix their internet connection.

We stayed for two nights at the Chilcabamba Lodge during our 7 day trip to Ecuador. This is a beautiful lodge with a cozy feel located close to the entrance of Cotopaxi National Park. It has beautiful views of several volcanoes. Overall, it was our favorite accommodation while visiting Ecuador. ||The staff were incredibly helpful and attentive to our needs. The dinner meals were delicious, especially the soups that were served. All ingredients were incredibly fresh. All three of us, including a teenager, agreed that this was the best food we had during our stay in Ecuador. Jonathan was incredibly nice at both the breakfast and dinner services. ||We used their guide to do the hike up to the glacier of Cotopaxi volcano, and he was a great source of information and very supportive throughout the hike. I would highly recommend hiking up to the refuge on Cotopaxi volcano, but keep in mind that this can be a physically demanding hike if you are not used to hiking at high altitude. ||If you visit Chilcabamba Lodge, make sure to take a walk in the short trails behind the lodge and look for the swinging chair that is nestled in the vegetation to sit and enjoy the view of the Cotopaxi volcano.

Chilcabamba is one of the first places we have ever stayed that I was truly sad to leave. Our stay was absolutely fantastic. Our room was clean, the service was above and beyond that of any 5 star hotel, the activities were amazing including the guides. We wished we had stayed a whole week and can’t wait to return next summer. I can’t say enough about how much we loved our stay at Chilcabamba.

The lodge has incredible potential. Considering it’s in the middle of nowhere, surrounded only by mountains and close to the volcano, the infrastructure is very nice. As I said, the lodge has great potential — except for its managers and staff. Usually, people in Ecuador are friendly and smile a lot, but in this case, most of them were very serious and unfriendly. That makes the lodge not a pleasant experience.||||I understand that the lodge is meant to be a peaceful place to rest, but they tried to cut off the electricity at 9:30 p.m., using the excuse that there was no power throughout the area. We were a group of 10 people, and some of them work remotely, so this caused a major issue. In the end, the power came back on after we argued with the receptionist.||||We loved the place, but the people who work there make us hesitant to return. Thank you, and I hope the owner reads this message and takes action.

Wonderful eco lodge on the edge of Cotopaxi national park. Very high quality accommodation, simple and local. Great food, fantastic views of Cotopaxi. Wood burners in every room, great value food. About 1 hour from Quito (2from airport) but well worth the trip

This was an amazing lodge with wonderful experiences. We stayed in the family cabin, and my teenage children were very comfortable in their two bedroom room off the central living room. The cabin was on the small side, but we spent very little time inside it. There was a wood stove, which was nice for the chilly evenings. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They helped arrange our transportation to and from Quito, and an amazing three hour horseback ride through the Andes, passing by waterfalls, lava formations from the local volcanoes and other beautiful sites. On our second day, we went on a full day exploration of Cotopaxi national Park. We started the day with an amazing climb of the mountain, Cotopaxi. We drove up part of the way, and then hiked to the base camp. We went slowly, because of the altitude. It is very high! We then had a little rest at base camp, before we elected to continue on to the glacier. It was amazing! It made us feel like true explorers. It was a difficult hike, however, we then traveled down into the national park, and explored some Indigenous ruins, and walked around a lovely lagoon with local waterfowl.|We had a delicious lunch at a lodge in the park, and then went back to our own lodge for dinner. It was an amazing experience.
