Children's Museum Singapore

This is our second time here. Used to be Singapore Philatelic Museum so probably that's why there are still some props and information on stamps. Which I pretty like because soon Singapore kids will no longer know how stamps with interesting designs looks like. The ground floor stays pretty much the same, but the second floor setup seems to refresh periodically. Play + Make is nice corner for older kids who have better control to make crafts themselves. The staff is very friendly and helpful (in fact, I think all the staff in the museum are very pleasant, thanks for contributing to the positive experience!). There is also a corner which is reserved for young kids up to 4 years old. Unfortunately the building is a bit small but so far it managed to keep my 10yo well entertained for 1hr+. Make reservations in advanced to ensure you can enter the museum at preferred slot. But when I tried to cancel the booking the site is not working, hope they enhance the app to make it better.

It's free for Singaporeans! This place is cool and fun for the kids. Adults gotta bring at least one kid to get in. They'll learn about how Singaporeans used to live back then. So many good memories, for sure. 👍🤩

It's an extremely well-curated museum with interactive exhibits that toddlers would enjoy. It's a fun way to introduce Singapore's history in a hands-on and engaging manner. I had to explain to my son what a public payphone was for and what all the Milo tins hanging from stalls were about. Would recommend to plan ahead and book a slot in advance. They reset and clean the areas between each slot, so parents can also feel safe. It's free for Singaporeans. A word of caution though: the QR code ticket expires after 10 min from the allocated time slot and you will have to join the line for those without advance booking, so arrive early or on time.

Good for your kids below 14 years to experience and explore on Singapore history before 1970. There is a tour for kids to watch several events with announcement made over the Public Address system before the event commenced.

something to learn for everyone. there are over 165 hawker centers in singapore as an example. the place got pretty crowded on a school holiday. the show on the ground floor was disappointing - story telling and sound quality… need some help from Disney Imagineers!!! i think there is potential to make this place even better

We had such an amazing time at the Children’s Museum Singapore with our friends’ kids! All the activities were incredibly fun and super engaging, the little ones were fully occupied from the moment we walked in. I honestly wished we could’ve stayed longer because the 2-hour slot just wasn’t enough for them to explore everything. The museum is so thoughtfully designed, and you can really see how much effort goes into making the experience enjoyable and meaningful for children. Highly recommend for families looking for a fun and enriching day out!

I visited on Friday 22August 2025 for the 11am slot. Extremely impressed by the amazing detailed work & every activities are so engaging. My 4yo & I enjoyed all the activities there. I can name so many displays that “wow” me! I love that they are running strictly on time slot basis so everyone can enjoy the place without being overly crowded. I can tell there was a lot of effort put into maintaining this space. I really hope people don’t take it for granted. I can’t wait to visit again!!! I wanted to take this review to specially thank so many of the staff here! There was this lady stationed at the enclosed play area (where they can play pretend to sell Yong tau foo 🤣😂) on level 2. We skipped it for the moment as there was a crowd inside. While we were going around, she came specially to inform us that the space is available now. I was honestly very appreciative for her attentiveness to each of the guest. I apologize & I wished I stopped to ask for your name. I remember Peng Yeow! He was extremely helpful during my visit. Directing & walking us in the sun to their outdoor space when my kid needed a snack break. Oh yes & he shared with us on how to use the stamp colouring/scanning station & watch it comes to live on the screen! Thank you children’s museum Singapore for such a lovely experience! ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Amazing morning out with my 2 year old. There were so many things to see and play. I love how they have child-friendly washbasins and the place is well kept and clean. Some of the historical items, I must admit, I haven't even seen them before. I want to say a special thank you to a staff, named Bobo. He was the first to greet us warmly and his story-telling was so enchanting that my daughter had to be coaxed to leave after the show was over. Not before giving 2 high fives to Bobo! Yes he's the person in the picture.
