Chile Rojo

Hands down one of the best restaurants I have been to. Excellent sushi and food. Fantastic service. The owner was there and could not have been more pleasant and helpful. They are able to recommend best picks based on the freshest fish. Highly highly recommend.

The best holiday turkey dinner I have had on the Caribbean coast. Stuffing and gravy were top notch and the warm purple cabbage salad was delicious. Reasonably priced compared to other touristy holiday offerings and well worth it. Friendly management stopped to chat for a minute too. Great spot to watch the action of Puerto Viejo. The food was absolutely perfect! We tried the noodle soup plus the Thai green curry and both were absolutely delicious!better than in many places in Asia! The service was perfect! Is one of the only restaurants in town where the owner is at the door willing in a very enthusiastic and professional way to explain the menu in all its details! The menu is full of many vegan and vegetarian options! The atmosphere is cosy and the service is friendly and very fast! The prices are very good! I really recommend to stop by to try this great restaurant!

There is absolutely no reason to come into the loud, dirty & stinky Puerto Viejo except the Thai kitchen from Chile Rojo! Well, it's not like in Thailand, probably due to the lack of one and another spice are but after too much gallo pinto and Casado it is just a pleasure. Can only speak of the curry, Satay and Vietnamese spring rolls. Didn't taste alle the other things they are offering....when you ask they will serve you a vegetarian version as well 👍👌✌️😋😋😋

Had the red Thai curry. The curry itself was tasty and with a pleasant degree of spice. The seafood part however completely without any taste and probably just added last minute for heating. Could have been just out of freezer but looked like fresh shrimp. In essence overpriced. Equally so the happy hour cocktails. Looked like half the size for half the price compared to other drinks.

This was one of our favorite restaurants during our entire trip to Costa Rica. The food was so good that we came back for dinner again the next night to try other items from the menu, glad we did! Ordered the dynamite shrimp, pork gyozas, shrimp pad Thai, triple color roll, Thai chicken bowl, and Asian sticky pork ribs. Everything was amazing, but the 2 dishes that were superior were the Asian sticky pork ribs and the dynamite shrimp. Beautiful view of the ocean right infront of the restaurant. No parking, but within walking distance from all hotels in PV.

If you like authentic Thai food this is the place to go! Not only is the food so yummy, but the service is great! The ambience is amazing too, right across from the beach. We loved it and will be back!
