"Chileno Bay There’s a lot to recommend the tourist-corridor beach known as Chileno Bay, or Playa el Chileno. It’s consistently ranked as one of the cleanest beaches in all of Mexico and has earned coveted Blue Flag status multiple times (the award goes to sand stretches that boast excellent water quality, safety, and services). Here you’ll find ample parking, handicap access, restrooms with showers, and nice palapas for free shade. It’s easy to understand why it’s one of the most popular weekend escapes for locals. The swimming and snorkeling conditions are great, especially the farther out you go. During the winter, take a moment to hold your head underwater. You might hear gray whales’ melodic songs in the distance."

Amazing beaches which the water was calm, good for snorkeling or watching the marine ecosystem by the rocks (tide pools), plenty of crabs and tiny fishes plus sea birds.

A beautiful sheltered beach a few miles from Cabo. It’s a public beach so parking can be an issue. But it’s worth it. There’s a reasonable changing room, toilets and showers which is a plus. The beach is always busy but we had no problem finding a spot. The rightmost area has a reef for snorkeling but we found schools of fish just offshore in 2-4’ of water. In June, the water temperature was around 85° or so.

I found Chileno Bay Beach to be a great beach to spend a day at. Snorkelling is best in and around the rocks to the right of the beach when you walk down the boardwalk. I would recommend water shoes/flippers as you’ll need to take breaks on the rocks and there are a few sea urchin’s as to be expected. Maybe a life jacket as well if you have little ones or if your not the strongest swimmer, as the under tow can work against you. Pack a lunch and drinks as public food options are limited. There are public bathrooms and showers just up the boardwalk. Parking lot can get quite packed. There are beach vendors that rent chairs and umbrellas at about $38CAD (1 chair, 1 umbrella) so if your going for a day you may as well bring those too. I found the sand to be more rocky towards the left of the beach and beyond. It’s a blue flag beach which means it has upkeep standards to meet, I would recommend Chileno Bay Beach!

Chileno Bay is an incredible beach and easily our favorite during our trip to Cabo! Parking was free, and the walk from the lot to the beach was quick and easy. The beach itself is beautiful, with soft sand and plenty of space to relax. Lifeguards are on duty, which adds peace of mind, and the sunrise here is absolutely stunning. While it wasn’t too crowded most days, Sundays were definitely busier. One of the highlights was the snorkeling there’s a rocky area where fish love to gather, making for an amazing underwater experience. I’d recommend bringing your own chairs and umbrella, or you can conveniently rent them right on the beach. Out of the eight days we spent in Cabo, we visited Chileno Bay three times, it’s just that good! Highly recommend!

Beautiful beach to spend the day. Rentals available for chairs, umbrellas, kayaks, paddle board, or snorkel gear. Nice bathrooms at the entrance. No food/drink available so bring a cooler with your own. Excellent snorkeling at high tide to the right of the swim area in and around the rocks. A reef with lots of fish is fun to explore. It was also easy to Uber to/from here. And we visited in February during whale season which brought a mother/calf pair that gave us a breaching show for 15 minutes.

Clean beautiful small beach with free parking, clean restrooms and serviced daily. Beach signs in the parking lot to the beach say no dogs allowed so we had to search for a different spot. Otherwise it looks like a great place to be.

Lovely beach. The area was clean. There are lifeguards and public restrooms plus an outside shower area. There is also a place to rent chairs, umbrellas, snorkels, fins, and even a transparent kayak. First come, first serve when its busy. Highly recommend! Be sure to pack everything you need as there are no places to buy food here.

One of my favorite beaches in Cabo. Clear, swimmable water and nice clean beach. Blue flag with restrooms.
