Would not advice anyone to stay here, even though we thought it was fine we now know there are plenty of better places to stay close by. It is an old building and it is obvious. We had a private room, and the window was useless. The room was small and dark. Bathrooms were fine, wish there was some paper to dry your hands. Pillows were not nice, and we were given old, Scratchy blankets. We had an AC which was amazing but could not controll it, so most of the time it was freezing. Staff were fine, nothing bad but nothing amazing. Kitchen was good and quite clean. Close to coles and easy to walk in to the city centre.

I spent a night here in a private bedroom with a friend. We were welcomed by an Argentinian girl who was super warm, friendly and professional! ❤️ The location of the hostel was amazing! The room in itself was nice and had everything we needed, probably would have been better with a window. The shared kitchen was extremely chaotic and disorganized.

It's pretty cheap, the location looks like a classic old-school hostel, which I don't know why hostels around here seems to be so keen to maintain as if they're passionate or somehow attached to them emotionally or whatever else, instead of doing a really nice renovation, but overall it's ok. For this price and compared to the local real estate prices you can't ask for much and let's say it gets the job done. A thing that I have to mention is the fact that they have the best free services in the common areas: a free to use PS4, multiple free movies (both DVD and Blu-ray) a pool table and two very nice balconies that deliver a great view of the city.

Worst hostel I lived in my 8 months trip in Australia. Facilities are super old. Even though bathrooms are always closed for cleaning it’s still dirty. I went just after there was still hair everywhere. Nothing to put your toilet bag or things so you have to leave everything on the dirty floor. Anybody can come into the hostel through the elevator. Rooms are super little, no place to put your bag. No AC, not possible to open the window, if you are suffering chlostrophobia don’t go there. I felt down few times because I was sleeping on the upper part and nothing to grab to go in my bed. Dirty carpet covering the whole floor where you find all the stuff of everybody cause there is no shelfs. Super noisy between the rooms and the corridor. They give you an old duvet to sleep which is itchy and the pillow is very used and uncomfortable. Staff was not friendly you are just a number. No filtered water available. Strong and very powerful light in the room nothing is cosy or makes you feel good there. Better being outside having a nap in a hotel lobby. No luggage room, you let your bag randomly on the floor of a parking. Location was ok but I really regret giving my money there instead to another good hostel just because I wanted to try a new company. That’s the worst part of the experiences even though you give 45-50$ per night…

I stayed in the female-only room here as my first accommodation during my working holiday. The room was clean, and the staff cleaned everything thoroughly every day. They also held my mail for me, which allowed me to apply for my TFN without any issues. The view from the rooftop is amazing — perfect for chilling and relaxing. Except for a hair dryer, the shared kitchen was well-equipped with essentials like a rice cooker, electric kettle, frying pan, plates, and cups. There are also vending machines for drinks and food. They offer free coffee, and it seems like there’s a weekly sausage party — I wish I had had time to join! If I ever need to stay at a hostel in Brisbane again, I’d definitely love to come back. Thank you so much for everything!

This is the WORST PLACE ! Yuck! Bedrooms look like a prison! The atmosphere is worse than a prison! It’s dirty and lights don’t work, no power sockets next to the beds, don’t waste your time! Edit***. This review is NOT a mistake, I stayed at this place under my legal name, my review is correct; to add to the previous review the girl at the front counter was very cold and not welcoming at all, the lights in the common rooms did not work and improbably would have been comfortable sleeping in the park next door than in those jail cell rooms! WORSE PLACE I’ve ever seen!

Best hostel to stay at in brissy. Has a 4 story high rooftop, bathrooms are big on each floor and big kitchen that is open practically 24/7. The staff are very friendly especially Jazz. Couldn't recommend this place enough

Yelp
Great location with friendly staff and environment. The CBD is a short 20 min walk, across the street are nice shops and restaurants. Everything was easy

Yelp
This is one of many hostels in Brisbane. Service and prices are average to a little above average maybe. The view on the rooftop next to their irish pub is quiet nice though. Overall a nice place to stay to hang out with fellow backpackers!

Yelp
Nice and clean hostel, they have a bar right on premisses that does really nice food and entertainment most days during the week. Staff are quite friendly and willing to help, the only bad thing I can really say is that we had to wait for quite a while before we could check in and before our rooms where cleaned. Everything else was bang on.

Yelp
I used this place a few times, and always found it to be one of the better hostels. It's a 5-10 minute walk away from the main area, Queen Street, but literally a stone's throw from the main train and bus station. The hostel itself is the usual backpackers haven. A communal tv come kitchen area that's always busy, and a large pool with plenty of sunbeds!! The staff, as with most hostels, can be backpackers too, but i've always found them very helpful and friendly.
