Chill Out Bungalows and Bar

The contagious kindness and joyfulness of the staff was the main reason I would suggest choosing Chill out ☺️ We will miss you! The menu is very diverse for any taste and the food is good. They also have a very nice and comfortable beach club. We hope we'll be back someday!

Absolutely worth a visit! The hotel is located just a short 5–10 minute walk from the harbor where you're dropped off upon arrival on the island. The bungalows are a good size and come with air conditioning. There's a large bathroom and a free water dispenser in the room. Everything is very clean and cozy!||The bungalows are set a bit back from the main street, and you enter the residential area through a small door/gate. Once inside, it's completely peaceful, and there's also a decent swimming pool. Chillout is located right on the beach, facing the ocean — a perfect spot to watch the sunrise.||And yes... the main reason most people come to Gili: snorkeling! I can highly recommend this place. You can snorkel right from the beach and see more marine life than I have on many other trips — all just steps from the shore! On our first snorkel trip from the beach, we saw two turtles.||There are plenty of sunnbeds on the beach, as well as a larger covered outdoor area where you can enjoy all your meals with a beautiful view. The staff are extremely friendly and provide great service. However, they could be a bit more attentive when it comes to offering drinks while guests are laying on the sunbeds.

This is a lovely spot for some food and drinks and we had great food here but I had to give them 3 stars because they served every drink with a plastic straw even when we asked them specifically not to. In fact, this establishment was probably the only one we’ve come across on Gili Air that still uses plastic straws. I don’t like giving negative reviews but on such a tiny island with a massive plastic pollution problem, everybody needs to do their part in minimising unnecessary plastic. All the other restaurants now have stainless steel, bamboo, and glass straws. These guys should too.

The food was delicious and the service from all staff amazing. They were all so lovely. The beef steak was some of the best I've had and the tuna steak steak was so tasty. The unlimited salad bar on the side was lovely. Beautiful location on the beach. Thank you.

I’ve been on Gili Air for three days and have been coming here for breakfast and dinner every day. The food is incredibly delicious – you can really taste that the sauces are homemade. On top of that, the atmosphere is beautiful, right by the beach. The service is also excellent. The staff are very friendly and attentive without being intrusive. I’m already looking forward to eating here again today. I can highly recommend this place!

Such amazing food and lovely staff. We came back because the food was so good the first time. Comfortable loungers or raised platform seats right on the beach. (Ok snorkelling - the coral isn’t great and not loads of fish) but great for a dip when you need to cool down.

Our stay at Chill Out Bungalows on Gili Air was absolutely fantastic. The bungalows were spacious and beautifully maintained with the added bonus of a stunning beachfront location. The pool was perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring the island. What truly made our experience unforgettable was the staff. Their warmth, humor, and genuinely fun personalities made every moment special. They brought so much joy and laughter to our stay. If you want a place to relax, enjoy beautiful surroundings, and connect with some truly special people, Chill Out Bungalows is perfect.

The best bbq on Gili Air. Awesome, fresh salad bar and such amazing staff. Highly recommend the whole fish and the squid. Cooked to perfection. Salads were cold and fresh.
