Cozy cafe with Vietnamese food and drinks! Spent several hours here enjoying the ambiance. Lively people grabbing coffee, lunch, or catching up. Customers welcome to make paper cranes to add to the decor.

After hearing great things about this cafe, we decided to try it. The coffee and desserts we ordered were quite enjoyable and satisfying. We indulged in the iced Vietnamese coffee and Viet coffee frap, both delightful and complemented by the distinct flavor of Vietnamese coffee beans. While we hoped to explore more dessert options from the menu, many were unavailable. Nevertheless, the Viet yogurt was an absolute delight, boasting a creamy texture with a hint of tanginess that made for a delightful and refreshing treat, reminiscent of my past experiences in Hanoi. The cafe's interior was adorned with various decorations, and while it may not be to everyone's taste, others can certainly appreciate its unique aesthetic.

Well decorated family business. Rich menu with Vietnamese options as well. Tried beef sandwich with eggs for breakfast. Juicy. Comfy laptop-friendly seating. Good job, Kelly and team.

We are so lucky to live less than a mile away from this amazing little Vietnamese cafe and eatery—however it’s also problematic bc Chill Zone is SO good and has such an awesome vibe that we are always popping in for snacks, tea, coffee and their delicious pho, which blows my restaurant budget for the week. The prices are a little high. But they do have a rewards program which is a nice bonus for us regulars! The storefront doesn’t look like much from the outside, but the second you walk in you’re greeted with a calm and zen atmosphere with spa-like music, relaxing woody picnic garden vibe and decor, colorful origami fluttering over the ceiling, plants for sale, and old retro cameras positioned around to admire. We love to sit on elevated platform floors (shoes off!) to sit back and chill even more. They have live music some evenings which is a bonus. So relaxing! Then there’s the food and drinks. Hands down the best Vietnamese cafe in the area, including the nearby Eden Center! We have tried them all (delivery and in person) and keep coming right back to Chill Zone. The Pho is perfectly balanced and the broth is light and not overly salty or heavily seasoned. You can add flavor as desired but the base itself is delicious and simple. Others we have tried have a weird aftertaste or are too heavy on bone broth or oxtail flavors. We also love that they have a keto option with zucchini noodles. The summer and egg rolls are delicious as well. The lemongrass chicken also delicious. The shrimp are huge in the seafood ramen. We have not had a bad meal here yet! The cafe drinks are also worth a stop and are more unique and flavorful. Many “boba tea” cafes around here have typical sugary cookie-cutter options that are basic artificial and overly sweet. Chill zone cafe drinks are more exotic and complex. We can’t find them elsewhere. There is a pink raspberry tea made with fresh puree, that’s a favorite, as well as a toffee milk tea that’s also a fave and not too sweet. We also appreciate that small family-owned businesses like Chill Zone should continue to have a place in Arlington and we try to support them over the large chains as much as possible. We have seen the owner of chill zone hanging out and chilling along with his customers.

Google
Objectively some of the worst service and drinks I’ve ever had. Currently sitting in this cafe writing this review after the two teenagers behind the counter made horrible drinks for my friend and I. Then shrugged and said they were unable to remake them, fix them, or allow us to choose something else. “Best I can do is a 50% discount on our next drinks.” I promise I’m not being dramatic; the iced lavender taro latte my friend got was so offensively bad. Like you could taste the kitchen, it was just sweaty brown milk with tasteless purple foam. With next to no ice!! Lol If it’s really against policy to fix drinks, at least say it in a way that’s not cloying and sarcastic. There was of course no manager available, so we’ll take a 25$ L. Maybe some days they’re good but be sure you go on a day where there’s an adult behind the counter. Leaving your business in the prepubescent hands of people who just could not care less is certainly a choice.

I just moved to Virginia and tried so many boba fruity tea places before settling on this one. This one is the real deal. Their drinks are about $8, and $10 with tip, but you'll have real pieces of fruit floating in them. They're also made with jam and marmalade.

Kristen Patterson

Google
I’m currently sipping the most watered down lavender latte, barista refuses to remake it, he tried to add to it and made it worse…says it’s policy and said I can purchase another one for 50% off… to refuse to remake a drink or fix it is wild… I took a picture of the menu and the barista came and asked why I took a pic of him…like what…the barista who made the drink hid until we left…this was a lavender latte, not a hint of lavender…truly never had such terrible customer service…arrogant, incompetent workers…these 5 stars reviews are fake/staged you can tell in the pics and the details…the arrogance of the two boys working was shocking, they went out of their way to be unhelpful…floored by the arrogance and complete lack of effort

Google
Love this place!! Their drinks are always great & the food is surprisingly fantastic!! I did not expect this small cafe to have such a deep food menu. Everything I have tried on their food menu is delicious and does not disappoint. This place has something for every mood. The environment is super cozy and cute. Service is also always top tier! My favorite dish is the chicken banh mi. I also really enjoy the viet tacos. Drinks I have tried: Very berry peach smoothie - 5/5

Yelp
It is so cozy in here! There is ground seating for my criss cross applesauce lovers and plenty of regular tables as well! Service is always quick, it does smell like fried food though. I haven't tried much else off their menu aside from their drinks but they are pretty good! A little too sweet for my own taste but still delicious.

Kyle S.

Yelp
The tea flavor is on par with other boba places in the area. The default sweetness level is very sugary, so if you want to taste the tea I would recommend requesting less sugar. On this visit, Chill Zone was out of the regular tapioca boba, so they recommended substituting the "crystal" boba instead. Unfortunately, the flavor doesn't really go well with a black milk tea, so I wouldn't opt for that again in the future. The layout and ambiance of Chill Zone is pretty nice and they've done a lot to make a smaller space comfortable and inviting. They also have a lot of great food options on their menu and I've had a good experience with those. As far as tea only, I'm not sure this would be my first pick but I guess it works in a pinch. Price wise, it is definitely on the higher end for tea since one large black milk tea with boba came out to $8.80 with tax.

Yelp
The Pho was delicious! Their shrimp fried rice was lacking salt in my opinion. My friend really enjoyed their vermicelli rice. The chai is too sweet but it's due to the condense milk they use so be warned. Their traditional viet hot coffee was pretty good but small. I enjoyed the presentation quite a lot. Also, they served our food in to go containers which I enjoyed quite a lot since I tend to take my food to go most of the time. I would definitely come back here. They had kpop playing in the background and the cafe is pretty cute so I liked it a lot! The service workers were very polite.

Yelp
This place surprises me every year. When I first tried this place pre-pandemic, they only had Boba, lattes, and hot teas. Compared to other places and how pricy it was, I always felt they were a 4 star establishment. I come back a year later and they started adding Vietnamese food which I thought was tasty. Again, not enough for me to come back right away. Recently, I went back after YEARS, and now they've added dishes like Peach Sticky rice along with a plethora of menu items. I loved the sticky rice dish! This shows Chill Zone improves every year and has become a very well-rounded establishment. I think after all these years, they deserve my 5 star review. I'm glad they stuck around!

Yelp
Just found a NEW FAVORITE and wish i could come here all the time! This is such a cozy, perfect spot to get some comfort food that is absolutely tasty and pretty affordable! The staff is very nice and brings food to your table. The Viet-inspired options are extensive but I decided to get vegetarian pho for that feeling of comfort you can only get from warm soup on a rainy day. It's flavorful, balanced with lots of vegetables, and comes with thai basil leaves, lemon, jalapeños, spicy hoisin sauce, and bean sprouts so you can customize it to your heart's content. I got the Viet chai latte which is PERFECT and a matcha on the rocks with boba to go. I love the atmosphere of this cozy café and they even have a corner of paper and encourage bored patrons to make cranes, which devorate the place's ceiling! Very creative and fun place that would be great to visit with friends or on your own with a good book or even to work remotely from!

Yelp
Came here for the first time on a weekend early afternoon. Hubby and I ordered a milk bubble tea and smoothie. Approximately $12. What's hot - Quality. Pretty good. Our drinks were pretty well flavored. Not too sweet and I could taste the jasmine flavor in my milk tea. Hubby's berry smoothie was also pretty good. - Menu. Pretty good variety and something for everyone- regular/traditional cafe items; non-traditional cafe items, like bubble tea; snacks, appetizers and meals. - Parking. There's a parking lot for this plaza, which is very helpful. - Price. Reasonably priced, especially given the portions and quality. - Service. I asked for my bubble tea to have no ice, which I got. No problems with our orders. Our drinks were ready in less than 10 minutes. After you order, they give you a small post-it note with a number, which is what they call out when your order is ready. What's not - Layout. Smaller than expected and smaller than what it looks like in the pictures. There's a decent number of tables and chairs, but they're kinda cramped together; also not conducive if your group is more than 4 people. If you're eating together as a group, be prepared that their tables may not accommodate you all with all your orders. I saw many other customers cramped in terms of arm space. I also saw a family sit separately, because the 2 tables pushed together couldn't accommodate everything they had. - Price. Not bad for single item orders, but be prepared to pay more if your order gets bigger, especially if you're ordering meals. May not be good value for money for meals. Final answer Would be willing to come back, but not a first choice.

Yelp
On a cold rainy day, all I wanted was some thing hot and warm. I found this place on yelp, and it had the highest ratings for pho. After trying the beef pho, I can see why. Very flavorful broth, generous portion of beef and noodles with fresh accompaniments and a chili hoisin sauce. I also enjoyed a jasmine tea latte which was perfectly, but not too sweet. but the absolute real star of the show was the rice cake appetizer. This was so delicious that I was able to take home and will gleefully eat it for breakfast tomorrow. Wonderful place and friendly service.

Yelp
Wow, I'm so glad my friend and I decided to grab dinner and catch up at the Chill Zone. It's so close by to where I live (less than 10 minute drive) so I'm pretty surprised it took me this long to know about it. It is in a more secluded plaza and definitely very lowkey. It doesn't look like much on the outside, but the interior is homey and unique. It's heavily decorated with paper cranes all over the ceiling and walls (where a lot of them are made by customers). Near the water station, there is stack of origami paper and you can take a couple to fold into paper cranes (and a little box where you can place them in when you're done so they will eventually become decoration). The employees were super nice and friendly, so definitely a great environment and vibe. The seating is also very interesting. There are a few tables (small and large) that you can sit at to eat Vietnamese food, snacks, and drinks. But there's also a space where you sit on floor cushions (which is where my friend and I sat during our time here). My foot fell asleep multiple times, but it was unique and enjoyable. Also given their late hours (close at 10 PM), you can definitely stay there for a good chunk of time to get work done or study, too. I'm happy to find another place like this! I am looking forward to becoming a regular here. While the food and drinks are on the pricier side, I know I'm also paying for the experience. BLACK SESAME SOY LATTE - 6.50 I'm not a huge latte person (prefer black coffee) but black sesame in a latte? Count me in. I have not seen any of these in this area for sure and I love black sesame. While it was a smaller cup, I really enjoyed it as it was not too sweet. The top was sprinkled with a generous amount of black sesame. The latte was also infused with black sesame flavor. Sadly, a lot of the black sesame paste sat on the bottom and I didn't really get to it until the end, but even then, the black sesame paste was not overly sweet. Next time, I'd definitely get a spoon to mix the drink thoroughly before drinking. BộT CHIÊN (PAN-FRIED RICE CAKE) - 13.50 This was essentially scrambled eggs and lots and lots of scallions and scrambled with crispy rice cakes. Definitely a great appetizer to share. There was a generous amount of scallions which we both enjoyed. We thought the rice cakes were too oily/greasy, but other than that, it was simple and tasty, exactly how you'd imagine it to be. PHở TÁI CHÍN - EYE ROUND STEAK & LEAN BRISKET - 16 This came out nice and hot, but I waited until my friend got her food (which was at least 10 minutes later). So by the time I had it, it was lukewarm. I wish I enjoyed it while it was hot since it would probably been 5x tastier. The broth is pretty good but could have more beef flavor or depth to it. There was a good amount of meat and not an overwhelming amount of noodles. Portion size is definitely small, so not the most filling. I thought the food was pretty good (above average but not spectacular), but I was impressed by the drinks and ambiance. I'll definitely be back to try other food and drinks in the future!

Yelp
The restaurant is overcrowded with chairs and tables. It gives a very clustered feeling, it's hard to maneuver when they're are other customers in line as well. The service is trash and took forever to get food. I asked about what's popular the cashier offered a menu instead. I think that's a simple question. Ordered shrimp fried rice, instead got chicken fried rice. Went back to the register and was told I ordered chicken fried rice. When I know for fact I asked for shrimp. The fried rice was gross and tasted like dirty chicken, no flavor to the rice. I end up just throwing it away. Also asked for the matcha on the rocks it looked nothing like google photos and asked if they could sweeten it, and they added nothing. 10 out of 10 would not come again. Just really annoyed we ordered from here and very dissatisfied!!

Thao S.

Yelp
The ambiance, the service, the food, the coffee were all amazing!!!! There's a Vietnamese flare that hit the spot for me with the desserts.

Georgina W.

Yelp
I've been here a few times now and i have to say it's a hidden gem! I've tried several of their boba teas and the purple root was my favorite. It's a good portion for a reasonable price. Today is the first time I went there to study and try their food. I had the pork Bahn mi and the egg stir fry noodles. Both exceeded my expectations! The ingredients tasted fresh and like something you would get at an expensive restaurant. Ordering is easy enough and the staff call out when your order is ready. The space is pretty small and they play chill music so it can be a little distracting. Would go here to do serious work or take meetings but for some chill vibes while working or studying I'll do it again

Hailey L.

Yelp
Some of foods have a bit small portion for the price, but Vermicelli noodle definitely has enough amount to fill your stomach Great service and really nice ambience Tried their drinks Some are little sweet but overall very unique to the restaurant and good flavor I would recommend black sesame latte

Tommy N.

Yelp
It was a really cozy cafe that served well for chatting or reading. It's a smaller space so it could get a little packed. Both the egg coffee and the stir fried egg noodle were decent but I wished that had the price tags on the menu so it's more transparent.

Klara C.

Yelp
The cutest little cafe that my coworker and I came across. We loved spending our afternoon here and getting some work done. The staff is really friendly and they have plenty of food and drink options. We didn't have any issues finding parking. For my first drink, I got the Caramel Cinnamon Latte and I later got the Autumn Rose Latte. I love both. They were not overly sweet although I do wish that the flavors were a little stronger. They brought the drinks out to where we were sitting. My friend and I split the Bot Chion (Pan-fried Rice Cake) and it was so delicious! The Rice Cakes were so crispy and the eggs had so much flavor. We loved it with the vinegar soy sauce and sriracha. For lunch, I ended up getting the Vietnamese Ramen and it was a good sized portion with plenty of toppings. It was so good and everything comes in a to go container so you can just pack it up and take it with you when you go. I'm definitely coming back! It's the cutest place and I love all the decor. They have so many food options and drinks that I would love to come back and try. Absolutely recommend it here.

Michaele M.

Yelp
This place is absolutely adorable - beautiful inside. The server was very friendly and accommodating and the menu was quite extensive. I only got a mocha latte and it is delicious. I definitely recommend checking this place out and hope to do so the next time I'm in the area

Toni C.

Yelp
I love this café. I came last week just to sit and telework. I ended up getting a bánh mì sandwich which was my first time I ever had one. It was so good fresh and nice and hot. I also ended up getting the cinnamon latte which was delicious. I met the owner He's such a nice man treated me too. They are sticky and mango rice. He's a photographer and his photography is all over the café. They have lots of artwork as well as folding paper crane activity, which I just thought was amazing. They have a bunch of coffee accessories for purchase. They are beautiful. I will definitely be back and I will definitely be bringing friends next time.

Yelp
I came to Chill Zone in search of a hot drink and ended up ordering a full dinner as well! I ordered a hot Viet Chai (slightly pricey at $7.15 total including tax) before realizing how hungry I was and ended up getting the Egg Rolls and Lemongrass Chicken Rice Plate. The chai latte was good; it was different from a chai latte you'd get at Starbucks because the black tea base was a typical black milk tea from a bubble tea/boba shop. In combination with the chai spice, the tea was very satisfying. As I waited for my drink and meal, I enjoyed the live music they have every Sunday from 4-6. The musician was an older gentleman who sung very well and did not dominate the space at all. The volume at which he sung was perfect for the cozy cafe setting. The food came out within ten minutes and I headed out. The egg roll was one of the best I've ever had; fresh and flavorful, the filling had distinct textures and would have been excellent even without the sweet chili dipping sauce. The lemongrass chicken was very good as well; the plate, at a price of $16, came with a large portion of rice and two chicken thighs. I think value for money is perhaps not the best; I expected more chicken than was in here, but the chicken was tender and flavored well. The pickled vegetables were also great and the pickled chili sauce on the side was a welcome contrast. Overall, a really nice spot that I plan to visit again when I'm in the area!

Nadid R.

Yelp
Never knew this gem even existed until I was in the mood for some late night coffee/drinks later in the evening. The ambience is extremely chill, I do love how unique the seating is with what little space they have. It gives off such a nice calming vibe, but keep in mind with how the cafe is setup, it's very intimate with its spacing which can be a hit or a miss for folks. Service was excellent, and I noticed that they served food at your table which is awesome. Most cafes end up not going over to your table to deliver your food. Dang shame I only ordered a smoothie, so I had to pick up my order at the front. Otherwise, the drinks here are pretty solid, the Taro frap turned out quite delicious. Last but not least, the owner was nice enough to talk to us on our way out. 5/5, welcoming experience, would come back again!

Mark M.

Yelp
Comfy, great range of offerings. Went for vegetarian bánh mì and some sort of boba tea (forget which specifically). Sat, chilled and doomscrolled for half an hour during a torrential rainstorm; the place felt like a haven. I'll be back next I'm in Arlington.

Jennifer N.

Yelp
The store front of this shop does it very little justice. It appears small and blah from the parking lot, BUT it is anything but that. The owners have managed to put quite a bit of seating into the shop, but it doesn't feel crowded. There are small bistro seating, bar seating along the window, work tables in the back, a couple of big comfy chairs and a platform option where you can sit on the floor and enjoy your meal. Don't forget to remove your shoes. The decor is eclectic so be sure to take a peak around. There are vintage cameras in the back, a cool piece of art work on the wall that utilizes wood and origami, and plants are placed all over. The most unique aspect of the entire shop is the origami cranes. What a neat concept to include into your shop! It's colorful and eye catching. The best part is that you can fold a crane and I am assuming it will be added to the shop. I always order cortados at coffee shop and the one I received at Chill Zone was DElicious. It was expertly made and it was served pretty quickly. The only downside was the cortado is the most expensive cortado I have paid for in the DMV area. However, because of the ambiance and service I will definitely be coming back to this shop!

J K.

Yelp
Always the freshest food well prepared, very healthy and tasty a real treasure that you might not find unless you really know where to look

Kimberly J.

Yelp
Yes! The Yelp Fam points us towards the right direction once again. Placed an order online, which was simple and straightforward. Our order was ready in no time. Love the ambiance of this place, it really is a Chill Zone. The cashier (owner?) was incredibly welcoming, kind, and attentive. Our order was neatly wrapped and ready to go. Plenty of cozy seating inside. The restroom in the back is clean. Tried their Drinks, Egg Rolls, and Banh Mi's. Everything was delicious from start to finish. The bread was incredibly fresh, light, and held everything together. The meats were flavorful and perfectly seasoned. The veggies inside were also very fresh. Overall, great sandwiches. Their Egg Rolls were light and crisp on the outside with meaty goodness inside. The Peach Island Refresher and Pink Tea were both very refreshing. Quality ingredients are used and much appreciated. I'm so glad we got a chance to visit Chill Zone and can't wait till our next visit.

Talia I.

Yelp
A great place to do homework or just relax! The food here is great and the workers are so nice! I come here every week to finish school work!!

Nadia J.

Yelp
Very sweet little place! It feels like a surprising find, tucked away in a random building but once you walk in you feel like you could just hang out for hours. Super casual atmosphere but also endearing. Surprisingly large selection of food for such a small place that might seem more like a tea/coffee shop. I've gone out of my way to eat at Chill Zone because the rice vermicelli bowl is one of my favorite things.

Joe W.

Yelp
Besides delicious Vietnamese dishes like Pho and Bun (vermicelli salad), Chill Zone makes their Taro Frappe from real taro root - *not* from powder, as most bubble tea places here do. Lots of unique menu items, too, like homemade Vietnamese yogurt. A pleasant interior - real plants, tasteful music - make Chill Zone a neighborhood gem.

Mia L.

Yelp
I am Chill Zone's biggest fan. I get a frosty mango with boba twice a week-- it is my favorite drink of all time (the boba itself is amazing but the coconut cream is my favorite part). The pho is also really good but expensive. I wasn't the biggest fan of the bahn mi. I like the lavender lemonade and so mint cooler too. The vibe is so cute and relaxing. Seating is good too. The service used to be really slow but it has improved so much. I wrote a lot of my college essays here.

Angie M.

Yelp
The best looking 'hole in the wall' foodie establishment I've ever been in! Tried it for the first time when my brother bought extra Vietnamese coffee for us to have at the hospital nearby; and he mentioned how amazing their sandwiches were. The coffee alone had me hooked, so had to try more the next day! The seating area is soooo cute (it's literally floor seating)! I did my order online though (sitting in the parking lot, I see that I wasn't the only one!) and it was done at least 10 min before the estimated time! I was greeted with a smile and kind words...the atmosphere was just clean and inviting! I haven't tried my viet salad yet (ordered from their Keto menu!), but it's colorful and smells amazing, so I have no doubt it will also be great! I was just anxious to leave this review! Also had their mango sticky rice that's enough to share with another, but I could eat it all myself! Try this place out; you won't be disappointed!

Julia D.

Yelp
The outside didn't look like much but the inside was a very cute cozy hangout area. It is perfect for studying. The service was just order and pickup so it is very simple, sticky rice and banh mi was perfect just a bit of messy packaging.

Josephine V.

Yelp
We keep going back to this place. Bubble teas are all good. Try the volcano mango! Love their Bhan Mi sandwiches and the noddle dishes.

Paula A.

Yelp
First time here and we loved the food. Very cute spot. I highly recommend. It seemed like everyone knew each other and had a cozy feeling.

Rohit R.

Yelp
This place was tucked away so I never really noticed it even though I've driven by the area countless times. I was looking for a nice place to grab something to eat and drink and get some work done. The vibe of this place was perfect for it with a variety of seating and some great food and drink options. I got a chicken banh mi sandwich that was delicious. The jasmine iced tea rivaled my favorite drink from Kung Fu Tea. Their Fraps looked really good and will have to give that a try next time. While I was waiting, I noticed they had origami paper out for people to make cranes to add to the restaurant's decor. It was a fun way to kill some time.

Vina H.

Yelp
This restaurant / hangout is so cute and creatively decorated with beautiful flowers and paper cranes. As soon as you walk in, you can see how beautiful and creative the owners are. It's not a big restaurant but it't very cute and instagrammable. We got the peach yogurt smoothie, and peach tea and butterfly pea milk tea, the drinks are yummy. They are not too sweet and great for the price as well. This place is famous not for their drinks but also for their crispy fry pan dish (bot chien?) ... The egg rolls are pretty awesome too. I love to come here on my work from home days and just hang out and work, they have a peaceful atmosphere. Their menu includes all dishes for lunch and dinner and also lots of options for healthy dishes as well as vegetarian. If you have not been here yet, it is totally worth it to stop by.

Bam A.

Yelp
My favorite vibe in a cafe in nova. It's to whimsical and feels like being back in Japan in a cute cafe. And the variety of things you can get there makes it a SUPER cafe. I like to work at cafes but don't want to always have a pastry or something else dry. Real food is amazing to have at a cafe. Boba too!

Suwanit T.

Yelp
Accidentally find this little place while driving back home. The place is very chilled, clean and very peaceful. Price is overprice compared to other Vietnamese place. I got Mangonada which taste was average and Bahnmi wasn't that great ($9 for half bread). I havent tried Pho but their menu looks delicious.

Zeinab B.

Yelp
Definitely the cutest cafe!! I love it.. it's a Vietnamese and photography theme. Both drinks were perfect the volcano mango and the pistachio white mocha. The customer service was very friendly and sweet.

Ellie A.

Yelp
Great spot to get to work, study or meet with friends. Healthy food is offered. Delicious deserts.

Mary W.

Yelp
My son love their coffee drinks. My other son thinks their bubble teas are ok. I have not tried anything here, except some steak or something. It was prob neither good nor bad - otherwise i would remember the experience. The reason for the 5 stars is the cozy atmosphere. It does feel like a place to "chill" and i often see people inside enjoying themselves.

Kelly L.

Yelp
Heard of this place from friends and had to check it out while in Arlington! Parking in Arlington is usually a struggle, but this place had a free private lot! Chill zone had a huge variety of drinks (coffee, teas, boba drinks)! I got the Vietnamese Iced coffee and loved it! My friend and I ordered the banh mi (veggie and beef). Both sandwiches were good but a little bit pricey for the size and quality ($9). I think I would return to meet with friends over coffee or when I needed a quick caffeine fix and skip out on the food!

Casey Lyn B.

Yelp
Found one of my favorite spots to read a book, write, work, mingle, listen to music! This spot is very hip, cozy, and offers live music. Speakin' my terms! I have ordered the Banh Mi, Viet coffee, and black Tea. The banh mi is a bit salty and oily, and I thought it was a bit too much for a banh mi. The drinks were great. The only thing about this place is I think the pricing of the food is a bit expensive. But I love this place. I would deff keep coming to getaway, have time to myself, reflect, and enjoy.

Georgina P.

Yelp
The boba is so good and the ambiance is so relaxing; the food was very good and the service was great, the employees were so nice and the café is such a cute spot. I really enjoy going to this amazing restaurant, especially with my friends and family. Very inclusive experience. 10/10 would recommend. The music was amazing as well they played all the good hits! I really love this place definitely coming back!!!!

Yelp
Awesome spot - love the variety of food and drinks. I got the classics - Vietnamese coffee and pho - and both were delicious. There was a ton of meat in the pho, way more than you would usually find. Also parking is really easy and the vibe is fun inside with lots of different seating types .

Yelp
Very hip artisan coffee spot with plenty of Vietnamese inspired dishes. Stopped by recently with some friends for some snacks and a study session. We had the summer rolls, banh mi, coffee lattes and the vermicelli bowl. Food was delicious but we felt was a bit over priced. Portions were fair and the amount of meat in the bowl was low. The coffees were really strong and I highly recommend them if you want an energy boost to your day. This is definitely a great spot to stop and share some drinks or food with friends. They feature local artists performing throughout the week as well. The art and decor here is awesome. They feature a wall dedicated to a local photographer with a bunch of photos.

Yelp
I love going here. I've been here multiple times and this is my first review. Best coffee/tea and juice place around the area (Northern VA). I come here when I need a fresh smoothie or Vietnamese appetizer on warm day. I really like their Green is Good, which contains the main ingredients of Avocado, condensed milk, and chia seeds. The chia seeds add an excellent mix to it and the condensed milk makes it taste "milky". It feels great and not too heavy. I also love their Be Peachy drink, which contains Peaches, and a Tamarind stick (yum!). The tamarinds add the extra sour flavor!! I have not dug into much of their food selections, but I always go with the Bot Chien appetizer. The Bot Chien doesn't compare to other places unfortunately but still a nice appetizer to get if you're in the area. Otherwise, I think the portion can be bigger, please! Their smoothies are very good - I want to try their coffee/lattes next time. And a suggestion that would be popular is if they did a Durian smoothie drink! I think that would be awesome!

Yelp
My favorite boba smoothie place in all of NOVA. I love love LOVE the volcano mango, power c guava, and green is good (avocado) drinks. They are bursting with real, fresh fruit flavor and are so refreshing and unique. You can really taste the quality. The interior of this place is so cute and the owner is very friendly and bubbly. Coming here makes me so happy. It's a lovely mom and pop Vietnamese cafe that is worth the drive for me

Yelp
I randomly found this cafe to get some food and coffee and it turned out great! I ordered Beef Banh Mi and it was delicious!! I'd comeback to get more food!! I got two shots of espressos over ice and it's smooth and tasty! I definitely recommend you to check Chill Zone out sometime! Pretty amazing. Tips: All the chairs weren't very comfy or cozy if you're planning to stay longer! Except those high chairs! :)

Yelp
Delicious food and a cozy ambiance. I had the banh mi and pho. Both were very tasty. The interior is nice and cozy but a bit small.

Yelp
12/27/20 After visiting my dad for a short time of 1 minute (Damn you Coronavirus), my wife and I took a different way back home. Since it was dark I did not recognize everywhere we went. We ending up in a Falls Church area that is really being rebuilt. This is why I did not recognize the area. Since my wife and I were hungry, we stopped by this restaurant which has a lot of protential for being a regular hang out spot. I liked the wonderful service and helpful information on the food choices from the young lady I met there. I also met the owner of the restaurant, but I forgot his name. I did like the shaved look that he had going. I didn't see to many Asians that do this style...(monks don't count). I must say the manager looked very familiar to me, but couldn't place him. He see to know who I was, which put me in a disadvantage...:) , but that is okay. The bathroom door stood out for be because of the sliding door with a latch. It was the most cleanest bathroom I have come across this year at a restaurant. Did I also say most unique bathroom door for a restaurant of 2020? Well it is. The food was delicious and so was the service. We almost decided to stay and eat at the restaurant, but wanted to go home and eat. Still, the next time we are here, we will be sure to stop by and have a meal here. I will be sure to order another blueberry Italian soda. Thank you again for a second Italian on the house. The second drink was even better than the first. I will definitely be coming back to this area of Falls Church To eat here and see the sights.

Yelp
The day was overcast and grey in Arlington, VA. We just finished having some mediocre dim sum up the street in the Eden area. The infamous dim sum sleep spell was about to hit us. I needed to wake up and quick. We went to Chill Zone in the hopes of finding something to break this spell. To my rescue Ashley created an amazing Americano for me. It saved me for the rest of the day! She also made some other cool drinks too.

Yelp
I wish I could give it more than 5 stars! My daughter has been a regular here for there boba tea, but today was my first visit -- we walked here for a DELICIOUS lunch. I got the chicken banh mi, she got the brisket pho. Toffee milk tea and ice Vietnam coffee for drinks. Everything was spectacular! All is made to order. The banh mi textures and spicing were perfect - the excellent bread had just the right amount of chew. I stole the fresh jalapeños from my daughter's pho and added them to my sandwich - great idea! She loved her pho, which came with all the classic mix-ins on the side. The staff is super nice, and the place is spotlessly clean! The plain exterior belies the charming interior-- lots of spaced out seating options, beautiful natural wood surfaces, and adorable decor that someone took a lot of care to curate. I cannot wait to go back!
