Chilly's Pizza & Trattoria

We had a fantastic time at Chilly’s. The pizzas were good, the beer was cold, and the kids loved watching the Cane Toad 🐸 racing which was very funny. The venue is not posh or up market it’s typical Aussie laid back style. The food was tasty, not exceptional but hit the spot but this place is all about the relaxed and stress free environment. The family had a great time and if you have time it’s a definite stop on your Port D holiday. Toad racing starts at 6pm so get there early if you want a front seat - but saying that most people had a view.

This is truly some of the most spectacular food we’ve ever had. This will be a must do every time we are in town from now on. I have no words other than absolutely fabulous. Every meal we had was divine.

Chilly’s has a lovely outdoor area with a great atmosphere, especially under the fairy lights — it feels really welcoming. The pizzas themselves were delicious and had that authentic wood-fired flavour. The only downside is the price, with pizzas costing around $30 each, which feels pretty steep for what you get.

I love this place every time that I come to visit. We always make a point to stop by during the Cane toad races which go to a good cause. I brought my brother along for his birthday and he was amazed at the experience. We had the best time as per usual. Thank you again for such a great night and the best experience in port Douglas

Magnificent pizza, great service, superb location. Great fun with the cane toad races. Had a magnificent time with family. Highly recommend Chilly's. A year or so later we went back, the pizzas are still immaculate.

This place was awesome! Great staff. Good pizza and pasta. They were having road racing the night we went. We were seated right away. Would very much recommend. Lots of parking along the sides of the building on the street.

Good food with the main attraction being the cane toad racing! Unique and interesting vibe.

What a fun night. Definitely need to go at least once in your life. Cain toad racing 🏁 was lots of fun. Food was great.

Its really hard to go wrong with wood fire pizza and they dod a good job. Loved the atmosphere and the friendly staff. It does take a looong time but they definitely deserve better ratings!

Great atmosphere! Lovely outdoor area. Great cocktails. Very cool French girls working at the bar. All staff we spoke to were great. Pizza was yum yum pigs bum. Without the pigs bum of course Update: I have to say I came back here and I'm disappointed. Staff were still great but changing a pizza to vegetarian was an extra $3! Just to not add the meat. Little things like that drive people away

Good food, great ambience, okay service, long wait for food. This restaurant has outdoor only seating - we really enjoyed the outdoor ambience and lively music. We got to the restaurant at 6:30pm and it was about half full. The rest of the space filled up in the next 20 minutes. The server took our order quickly but then we didn't hear from her for the next 45 minutes. We flagged her down and asked how long our order would be and she said she had no idea!! I asked her to find out, which she did at our request. We had ordered one vegetarian and one spinach-ricotta pizza. They both came after 75 minutes. The food was quite tasty. Good experience overall minus the wait.

This is the only place in Port Douglas where we ate twice! The food, service, atmosphere, and prices are all good. They do not serve alcohol, but since they let you bring your own ($5 for a 6 pack of beer or bottle of wine) that works out well anyway. You order inside, go find a seat, listen to their wonderful music and enjoy your night. It's off the main street so it took us a while to find it but was well worth the effort.

The pizza was tasty with a nice crust, but all the pizza was bunched in one corner because the delivery boy carried it on the side instead of flat. He should have made an effort to deliver a FLAT ROUND pizza!

AMAZING- Atmosphere, authentic food & drinks and service all the best we had during our stay in Port Douglas. The 'feel good' Latin music really finishes this place off nicely. Even know there is plenty of space in the outdoor alfresco area, I recommend booking as it fills up pretty quickly.

Great pizza but took over 50 minutes to arrive. Ordered two kids pizzas and waiting almost an hour is definitely not ideal.

We go to Chilly's each time in PD (most years) pizzas/salads are ok but it's the child friend outdoor eating that brings us back. Children can run around mingling with other children having fun. This year (Aug 18) was a bit of a disappointment though, the outdoor area appears to doubling as a junk yard waiting for hard rubbish collection so not all that safe for young ones.

To me great pizza is all about the crust and these guys have it got it- thin and perfect balance of crispy and chewy. I can only speak for the pizzas because that's all we had in our group but it was as good you'll find in any large city. I'd normally give 4 stars but it's get an extra star for being this good in a tourist spot where it's typically hard to find exceptional food.

Very informal outdoor dining, but a great tropical vibe. You very much feel like you're kicking back and on holidays in the tropics eating here. A really good range of pizzas. Compared to a lot of PD eateries, Chili's is inexpensive and with a great soundtrack to boot - plenty of great tunes playing while we were there. Very handy location, friendly staff and great for kids and families.
