Pretty self explanatory XD they have a plethora selection of beers to choose from! KFC is a bit smaller than Bonchon but flavors are on point. A bit tricky to get there so dont venture there too late in the evening.

I haven't eaten what I ordered yet and I don't know if I will! Everything was fine until I tried to figure out how the combo they had worked. The waitress almost repulsed me when I tried to switch from sweet fries to regular fries. Plus, they cook in a place where you can't see it, so I thought they might have put something in my food. The waitress spent the whole time while my order was being prepared talking in another language to someone who was taking my order. She never came back to that place again. We have enough chicken in America to get angry at a place like that.

Google
Casual korean fried chicken spot! Saw this on my way home and was craving soy garlic wings so I stopped in. I got the 10 piece soy garlic wings and it came out to $16 with tax. Service was friendly and quick. The wings themselves are small but the sauce was delicious. I did feel like they could have been a bit crispier - I prefer Cafe Soho or Bonchon just a bit more.

I buy food here for my children. I like the new Korean chicken sandwich with honey garlic sauce.

Google
All their chicken is good. Definitely order some kimchi and radish as well. Nice beer selection and decent prices. Clean dine-in area and take-out is super convenient if you call in advance.

Google
Fresh chicken made on the spot with a good selection of flavors. A huge variety of beers and IPA's sourced both locally and from far. I love the way they season their fries. The dumplings are phenomenal and the rice bowls will fill you up before you know it. Definitely one of my favorite spots to eat at for me and my 6 boys(3 teenage sons and their three friends) who all agree that it's the best-tasting chicken around.

Google
First time trying the wings here and they are phenomenal!! Soy garlic & hot mixed box of freshly prepared wings with sides of Korean kimchi and radish HIT THE SPOT! Great beverage selection and counter to-go service too 😊 We will definitely be back for wings regularly 🍗

Google
Best fried chicken I’ve found in Philly so far. I am a big fan of extreme spicy food and the “so hot”chicken wing are quite literally the best spicy chicken I’ve ever had. There is excellent flavor behind the heat, that’s really hard to pull off. I will say it’s not for the faint of heart, I have a high spice tolerance and these were crazy.

Google
So glad this place popped up near us! We use to have to drive pretty far for good Korean fried chicken! But not anymore! Great chicken! They're expanding their menu as well, so far the fried chicken is still the best thing on the menu. They also have a wide selection of beer! Very impressed! Definitely check it out if you're looking for good local beer and chicken! Got too excited to eat, didn't take a good picture but it's definitely delicious!

Yelp
Plenty of bench seating. The spicy is hot and I've heard things about the very spicy (one day I hope to try it). What stands out the most is the crispyness - very crispy. No free water

Yelp
Didn't stay walked out didn't look appealing. And was too expensive, could have went to popeye's or Kentucky fry for the price.

Yelp
I've always wondered what my tombstone will read when I die, but now I know. Four simple words, yet so much meaning - "Honey Garlic Chicken Lover." One bite of that chicken and I felt my body ascend to the heavens. Crispy. Juicy. Meaty. What more could a girl want? Need that chicken at every major event in my life - birthdays, wedding, arbor day, funeral, etc.

Yelp
We ordered take out and our order was made very quickly. The chicken is delicious and crispy! (Though not the crispiest Korean fried chicken we've had). We ordered the honey garlic and soy garlic and I preferred the honey garlic slightly more. We preferred the wings over the boneless. I wasn't expecting to love the sweet potato fries but I did!
google avatar

Yelp
Ordered their wings again since we liked the flavors (honey garlic and hot) a lot a few months ago and the flavors are still good but the wings are now half the size. Very disappointing.

Yelp
Really good Korean fried chicken and great selection of beers. I've had their mildest to hottest wing flavors, all of them excellent and nothing I couldn't handle. Deliciously crispy while the chicken is moist and juicy inside. None of that overcooked meat or shattered bones. I recommend the fries/potato wedges as a side as it's just as crispy as the chicken. These are not you typical Wendy's floppy fries, they must be double battered or something.

Yelp
The promise of crispy fried chicken, described by fellow yelpers, lured me to this spot sitting at the corner of Girard and Marshall streets, in what is now known as Northern Liberties. Hunger and fatigue made me forget to snap views of business. But, The interior was well-lit and very clean. Glass refrigerators displayed their wide selection of beer to the left and the cash register sat to the right with the open kitchen behind. There is inside seating for those inclined to get to their meals hot off the presses. Parking on street. We got 10 soy garlic and 1/2,1/2 (5 each) hot and honey soy. The bill was $31 and change and credit card info was required for phone orders. Wings were ready in the timeframe promised. We preferred the soy garlic and hot, the honey soy was just okay. We do like spicy food, but after trying the hot, we agreed that we probably would not have been able to handle the extra hot version they also offer. The chicken was cooked pretty perfectly-crispy outside and moist inside. The glazes were very flavorful and well balanced, but we did feel like after the exterior was gone, the interior lacked any seasoning. Still, they satisfied our crispy wing cravings.

Yelp
Wow! This place is extremely unassuming, however, when you take the first bite of the wing, everything comes to light. Not only in your taste buds but your entire life. These wings are one of the best wings I've eaten in a long time, they are crispy and flavorful. Every time we're in Philly I'm stopping here! Must try

Yelp
Kept hearing about this place from friends and my friends were absolutely right with their positive remarks! Ordered the 10 honey garlic wings and 10 hot king wings. They were all fried very well, still juicy without being over fried! Lots of flavor too! The hot king has a pleasurable amount of spiciness so would recommend this if you want a little kick. I can't imagine how insanely spicy the ex hot king flavor is. You get a tiny side of white radish with your order. Its acidity yet sweetness complements the chicken well. Definitely would recommend this place and we'll probably go here over Bonchon every time!

Yelp
They're apparently still in their soft opening until spring, so you either have to order and pay on site or give your credit card information over the phone because you can't order online yet. They don't have a site yet and if you try to Google their menu it's not the same as other franchises, so I'd just go based off the pics you see on here. For 3 people we ordered the following for takeout, which was enough for us: * large half & half (20 wings, honey garlic & hot king) - I loveeee crispy fried chicken rather than wings that have a super wet and messy sauce. The sauce was crystallized on the outside and had the exact crunch I like. I'm definitely a honey garlic gal, and I'm glad I didn't get the extra hot king because I can't handle it if it's too spicy. I think they gave us two radish orders free with this and you just +$1 if you mix flavors * two dumpling orders (7 wings each with sauce) - also crispy just how I like them! I think they mentioned a couple different options but I got the mixed meat one...I think it was chicken, pork, and beef? The food was ready within 10-15 minutes of placing the order over the phone and they came in takeout containers packed pretty tight so they didn't budge when driving home. I'm excited for them to expand the menu and I want to try more items in the future (maybe even eventually dine in)!

Yelp
For all you Bonchon lovers, Chi Mc King will probably further win your heart. Chi Mc King () is a Korean Acronym for Chi "" (Chicken) Mc "" (Beer) King "" (King). My boyfriend and I got the Soy Garlic and the Spicy wings. PHENOMENAL. The proportion of sauce and breading is perfect. In my opinion, BonChon is very salty after having a few wings, but you don't get that feeling with ChiMcKing. Go tell all your friends about Chi Mc King, especially your Korean friends, because when you tell them about this place, they will all be thanking you! Trust me, I'm Korean and this is the best KFC (Korean Fried Chicken) that I've had in all of Philly (Andy's Chicken, Soho Chicken, Pelicans Chicken, BBQ Chicken, Crunckin, even the more restaurant style places like SouthGate, Seorabol). Hands down best KFC ever! And it comes in cute packaging!

Yelp
I got the boneless honey garlic and it's so lie the best boneless wings I have ever had! soooo crispy and the honey sauce is crazy
google avatar

Yelp
Solid Korean fried chicken and fries but nothing special compared to other spots. Chicken came out fresh and crispy. The restaurant itself was an ice box so it's definitely more of a takeout spot rather than a sit-down restaurant.
google avatar

Mina G.

Yelp
Honestly pretty great Korean fried wings. Tried their spicy and extra spicy wings. The extra spicy is legit spicy, probably the spiciest I found in Philly. Would recommend if you can handle your spicy otherwise go with regular spicy which still has a small kick. The bones wings are on the smaller side and it's fairly pricey for what you get but good wings overall! Would recommend.

Yelp
We're ALWAYS down to try the newest Korean fried chicken establishment and Chi Mc King did NOT disappoint! Can only order online, pay over the phone and pick up at this time but it's definitely worth it! We got an order of the soy garlic wings, the spicy wings and French fries. Soy garlic was probably my favorite flavor and is HIGHLY recommended. The French fries weren't as delicious... not as crunchy as I would expect a place that double fries their wings and makes sure that texture is on point for the chicken. Can't wait to go back and try other flavors! FYI, there are LOTS of beverages to purchase there and there's a small parking lot in front.

Yelp
Came on a soft open with a limited menu. But honestly I'm here for one thing and one thing only, the KFC, Korean fried chicken. If you haven't had it, you need to try it. It's crispy, juicy, and oh so good. ChimcKing does it well. We got the large soy garlic wings for two people and it's the perfect amount. I particularly like their version of soy garlic. It's sweet and savory but does get a bit too much after awhile. Unlike most KFC spots, it doesn't come with pickled radish included. Or at least mine didn't. If it doesn't, I recommend buying it to help cut the greasiness and the flavor (if you order one flavor). The size is on the smaller size compared to other KFC spots. Not particularly a bad thing, just an observation. My only gripe is that some pieces, particularly some flats, weren't crispy. Not sure if it cause the sauce made it so or if it needed just a little longer. Will be back for the official open to try the full menu.

Yelp
Good price BUT not the best Korean fried chicken. Little to no crisp, and the chicken itself was bland. I would give this place a 6/10.
google avatar

Lauren G.

Yelp
I would highly recommend coming here! Ordered a large of the boneless chicken - half extra spicy and half garlic. Ohmg so delicious. The chicken was spicy and flavorful. The garlic was perfectly seasoned. And the added benefit that there is a wide selection of beer to grab alongside is amazing!!
google avatar

Janet S.

Yelp
Great food, great drink selection, and ALWAYS hits the spot! Highly recommend this spot if you crave korean fried chicken!

Judy L.

Yelp
My new favorite Korean fried chicken place! We've tried the soy garlic and honey garlic flavors so far, and I would highly recommend the honey garlic. It's sweet, savory, and garlicky! I find the soy garlic a bit too salty. Also, if you order the whole chicken ($23.99), it is freshly fried when you order. You will have to wait awhile (around 30 minutes or so), but it's totally worth it. The batter is so crispy and airy, they put just the right amount of sauce so you taste it, but it's not drowning in it, and the whole chicken is quite large. If you're ever in the mood for fried chicken, this is where you should go! You won't be disappointed! The only downside is they don't have any online ordering system and when you call in the order, you have to give them your credit card number over the phone.

Yelp
Chi Mc King is the best korean fried chicken in the area. We really like their soy garlic and normal hot sauces for the wings. The chicken is well-fried and crispy without being dry and the sauces are applied with a lot of care so that they don't make the chicken soggy, but still bring a lot of flavor. I've never had the whole chicken before but the wings are excellent and the boneless nuggets are very good. Of their sides, the potato wedges are the best and remind me of the KFC potato wedges. It used to be that the only way to order was over the phone or in-person and they would take your credit card info over the phone for an order, which was not secure method when you are not in a private place. Luckily they are now on Doordash (and maybe other services) for pick-up and delivery. The prices do not seem to be marked up for delivery services and time estimates are good. The only issue is that not all menu items are available on the app, such as a half and half mix of sauces, but if you make a note on the app, they will usually accommodate these requests.

Yelp
A handy new Korean chicken spot has opened on the northwest edge of Northern Liberties. The word of mouth has been good so far and I concur. Looking like it belongs in a strip mall but very bright and welcoming inside, ChiMcKing delivers great results in a short period of time. I ordered a combination of their soy garlic and hot king Korean wings and can't decide which one I like best. Both were tasty. Of course a little Korean Pickled Mu (daikon) helped transition the flavor between the two styles. Prices were fair and service was friendly ... and I can easily see myself stopping back in ChiMcKing if I am again in the neighborhood.
google avatar

Nicholas F.

Yelp
So far have tried the honey garlic boneless and hot king bone in wings. Both did not disappoint! Delicious
google avatar

Andrea G.

Yelp
It's worth checking out this spot for the beer selection alone. Huge variety of canned beers and a few hard seltzers. The chicken was exxtra crispy. I tried honey garlic and soy garlic but couldn't taste a strong different between them. Maybe because I ate them so fast? They did come with a small side of pickled radish. The spot was really clean and new. Not very tidy but I think that's due to the pandemic. I waited about 20 minutes for my food but they have tables and TVs so it was no bother.
google avatar

Xin L.

Yelp
I was very disappointed after hearing my friend rave about it. Was not crispy or spicy enough for Korean chicken wings, fries were basic.
google avatar

Lukas P.

Yelp
I'm a superfan of Korean fried chicken, and this place finally opening was an answered prayer. Here's what you need to know: the spicist wing is good, but the garlic wing is the best one on the menu and worth the effort. Seriously, they're awesome. When I went the fries were clearly distributor-bought crinkle cut, but they were fried correctly. Given the fact that they were training the staff at the same time, this shouldn't be representative of the final menu. Also they didn't have the liquor license yet, so obviously this isn't the intended experience. Stick with them, this place will be great.

Yelp
I really enjoyed these korean fried chicken- for someone who loves soho cafe and bonchon wings ... these were more superior! Lately i feel that bonchon and soho cafe has been lacking in sauce and flavor. It doesnt taste as good as loved it before. I decided to try out a new place which is close to me.... i was not decided! They even threw in free fries for the wait. Only thing is some of the wings are very small in size... but the soy garlic is super delicious! They have a small parking lot and a lot of drinks/beer inside. Give them a try you wont be disappointed!

Yelp
Rude and combative customer service. I popped in to check it out and saw "soy garlic chicken" on the menu, which I was pleasantly surprised about because I didn't expect they'd have a vegetarian option. I asked the attendant at the counter "is that soy, like vegan soy?" just to make sure before I ordered anything. He must have misheard me but said "yes" anyways, so I ordered it. When I got it and realized it was real chicken I went back and calmly and politely let him know. He immediately became rude and blamed me for the misunderstanding. He claimed "you never asked if it was vegan!" I wasn't looking for a refund, but was hoping to get something I COULD eat to replace it (sweet potato fries), but he didn't give me a chance to ask. He just rudely said "I'll give you you're money back but you never asked about it being vegan, we don't have vegan food here!" I took back my money, left and was moved to write this review because I didn't deserve to be spoken to so rudely. Especially given that I was nothing but calm, polite and simply confused by his rude attitude.

Yelp
yooo!if you love a good chicken wing, please check out this place !,is all i'm gonna say! garlic-pepper wings, are the truth!

Yelp
DO NOT GIVE THIS RESTAURANT YOUR CREDIT CARD INFORMATION OVER THE PHONE!!! IF YOU HAVE RECENTLY ORDERED TAKEOUT OVER THE PHONE FROM THIS RESTAURANT, PLEASE CHECK YOUR RECENT CHARGES! My wife and I love this place. The fried chicken is great. However, my wife recently noticed that there were fraudulent charges on her card and the fraudulent charges were for other restaurants in Philadelphia ordered through Grub Hub, which we do not use. Looking at her statement we noticed that we had used her card to order ChiMc King over the phone right before that. This restaurant takes credit card information over the phone for pick up orders and we suspect that someone from ChiMc King is stealing people's credit card information! I am writing this review so that the owner sees this and investigates what is happening at his restaurant. UPDATE: I didn't get a response from the owner, but I noticed that they are taking orders on DoorDash now. I would recommend ordering online rather than over the phone.

Yelp
Yummy thinly battered Korean chicken wings! I like Bonchon but the one in Philly Chinatown is a no-go so I was happy to taste that Chi Mc King can fulfill my cravings. I recommend it, as a Korean myself. They are having a soft opening so I haven't tried anything else but the chicken is very delicious! I like the hot and the soy. There's also a good beer selection with Korean beers that I haven't tried before as well as domestic.

Gabriel G.

Yelp
Great, no-nonsense Korean fried chicken joint. Clean, spacious, featuring a wall of very well-stocked beer fridges to accompany your chicken at picnic-style tables and benches. Highly recommend the boneless wings which are, AMAZINGLY, exactly that: the meat of the wing with the bone magically removed. No, not molded mystery meat in heavily breaded coatings. Real, juicy, delicious chicken wing meat, perfectly fried to a crunchy exterior crisp, and doused in a well-proportioned sauce. We did half soy garlic and half Hot, and it was sensational. Also ordered fries which were, again magically perfect, with a delicate, crispy exterior - every single fry - and gently tossed in a salt and pepper seasoning. Unfortunately, and after two visits, no kimchi available! This heavy, fried meal is begging for the bright, fresh tang of kimchi to balance it out, but for some reason for two weeks now it's not in the inventory. Skip the picked radish- it's just cloyingly sweet and wet. Service was friendly and prompt, and even dine-in is delivered in a sturdy brown shopping bag with a generous portion of napkins and plasticware. Definitely going back!

Yelp
Really good wings . I got the honey garlic wings with fries . The fries were a bit salty but the wings were great . Really crispy and fast ! It's also really clean in here which I appreciate as most places aren't . This place didn't disappoint !

Shawn M.

Yelp
Really enjoyed the Korean style chicken. The chicken is marinated well where the sauce and chicken have the right balance. (I.e- so people create a great sauce but don't marinate their chicken before adding the sauce and deep frying it. This spot chicken taste like it does. Highly recommend this location.

Yelp
i had been driving by this place that seemed to appear out of nowhere for quite some time and finally decided to give it a shot. i picked a good time to go because there was no one inside. staff was friendly and took m y order right away. seemed to take a bit longer that i would expect considering i was the only person in the restaurant. i ordered the 15 piece soy garlick boneless wings and fries. not sure if my wings were done before the fries and sat for a few minutes but they werent piping hot like the fries. maybe because the sauce they use was cold or room temp, not sure. in any case, food was decent. the fires were really good. i need to go back to try more of the menu.

Bob Z.

Yelp
Delicious wings. Went with the boneless version with soy garlic. Wonderfully crispy.

Kim H.

Yelp
If you are looking for a new bonchon place in Philly without having to drive all the way into cheltenham, look no further! We got the large (20 piece) half soy half spicy wings. They were fried so well and the flavors are great. Much better than the popular competitors in the city. And please pay the extra for the pickled radishes to complete the experience. What's cool is that you can get a 4 or 6 pack of local craft beers that you can handpick in their giant fridge of beer heaven (currently a sale 10% off 6 pack) If you're not a beer person of course they got a nice selection of other beverages seltzer's, soda, Starbucks fraps, water. This place needs more recognition, please give this place a try, so worth it! Definitely would come here again!!!

Steven O.

Yelp
The only drawback to this place was that I ordered a small 12 piece and they made it a large 20, forgot my rice and told me to come drive back to pick it up. Didn't even offer to take it off until I told them to but then told me that he would need my credit card to charge me and cancel the order. Also the sweet potato fries were soggy... I'll stick to Cafe Soho...

Xi C.

Yelp
Good-sized wings and very flavorful. I ordered soy garlic and spicy. The spicy wings are much better than Bonchon's!

Patrick W.

Yelp
Listen. I never review food places. But this place is phenomenal. Amazing food and quality chicken. The slight downside is that they take a little while to get it out but that's to be expected as they just opened and are getting into the swing of things. 10/10 reccomend. They haven't even fully opened yet and I've brought all my friends already/
